The pier is fabulously maintained; there are clearly staff members who put their life and soul into making this location look pretty. The bar/restaurant in middle of pier was good. You can see for miles around, it was lovely. Perfect to sit and reflect.

Enjoyed a wander along and found a bench in the shade, a delightful spot to go people watching for nearly an hour. Many people were buying sun hats at the shop down there, including us. They have made a perfect restoration of it after the fire and it still includes various attractions. The Victorian Tea Room was particularly busy.

From the pretty flower beds that front the entrance to the pier to its very end, this is an experience that not only is free (donations can be made in secure cash boxes), but has something for all the family. There are amusements, shops, seating, a bar/restaurant, tea rooms, as well as a jazz club and a traditional chippy! A great place to pass a couple of hours watching the world go by.

Very pleasant pier, although I noticed you can’t take dogs (except assistance dogs) or your own food and drink. There didn’t seem to be any public loos, but if you buy a drink in the tea room or jazz cafe/bar you can use theirs. Otherwise it’s 20p to pee in the loos either side of the pier by the beach!

The arcade(s) are tiny in comparison to Brighton pier.

There is loads of seating (wooden picnic tables and benches round the edge). On a very sunny Bank Holiday Monday it wasn’t crowded at all.

Lovely.

A very well maintained pier, part of which was engulfed in a fire in recent years. Extremely popular, lots of entertainment, such as shops and arcades. Victorian tea rooms are worth a visit, as in the restaurant at the pier end. If you sit down to eat outside, what out for the gulls.

Nice pier. Amusements could do with some maintenance, prices of beverages should be lower...
