Very nice, it had a good feel to it. We had a pot of tea in a lovely cafe, while there. It's a pity that the end bit of pier is blocked off.

Great Jaz playing at the end of the pier and a great bar. Reasonable priced drinks and friendly staff.

Nice Victorian feel to the pier, however very sad to see cigarette end after cigarette end being discarded ( obviously ending up in the ocean ). This was indicative of Eastbourne as a whole.
I did notice a lot of Eastern European languages, perhaps this is the norm in their ( higher smoking percentages ) culture. Maybe if you wish to promote a more Victorian feel, then perhaps some educational signage on this issue - as well as some enforcement.
As to the Pier, is it really necessary to ban all food items not purchased on the pier.
What about the good old family picnic? Family’s will still spend money on gaming and souvenirs etc. Such a beautiful structure just seems so under utilized.
