We have visited today with our 6yr old Grandaughter and have had a wonderful day. The thought and work that has gone into making this such a lovely family day out is very obvious. We were very pleasantly surprised by the entry price for a start. The play area was well thought out and very well looked after. Our Grandaughter absolutely loved it. We went on the walk around the lake and found the other smaller play area, ( it was so quiet and peaceful ). I was very very impressed by the whole day out we had and will visit again during the summer holidays. By the way The cream Tea was SCRUMMY. beautifully light ,tasty scones.
You will not be disappointed if you visit here.

At the ticket office we asked if we could take the baby carriage on to the train??? There is a baby carriage park at the station.....the train is for sitting on not in....and is therfore great fun.....avoiding rain.... but good value for money and very interesting.......the miniture trains are perfectly engineered, and small.....my granddaughter (4) loved it.

Went here today with our 2.5 year old and had a lovely time! The rail way is quaint and the grounds are beautifully kept, it was a fair entry price and the kids playground equipment was well kept. We went on the nature walk which was beautiful too! Nice touch with the little railways you can pay to use and at 20p bargain beats some places that rip you off! Will defiantly return

I have held annual membership to the Mini Railway now for over 2 years and my two boys simply love it. Annual membership is very reasonably priced and the facilities are excellent. The family who run it are very friendly and welcoming and clearly love what they do. There are 3 play areas which are well maintained and very clean. A great place for little ones to let off some steam!

We decided to pay a visit on a wry May afternoon.

Whilst the miniature railway was fun to ride on, and the care and attention given to the trains is clear, we felt that at over £8 for adult admission which only included one short ride on the train, it does not offer value for money.

There is a play area for younger children and also a coffee kiosk. There's also a small area with various model railway layouts on display, which cost 20p a time to operate for a few minutes.

The shop doesn't sell all that much if you don't like Thomas the Tank Engine, certainly nothing for the adult enthusiast.

As a diversion for a couple of hours, especially if you have younger children, it's a nice enough visit but if you are on a tight budget you'll find better value elsewhere.

Visited with my 3 year old and 10 year old godson. Both found plenty to do, as did I! Train ride was longer than I expected and great fun round the decent sized lake, with a tunnel and suspension bridge. We were never bored. If I lived closer I would definately get the membership pass. Playground was well used by all

This is such a well laid out and well-presented site. Credit to the family for such a lovely attraction they have built up, from the 1/8 scale small steam and diesel trains to ride on, to the lovely short walk round the perimeter of the lake and the railway circuit, and the very clean toilets, shop and café. So glad we called in.

I love this place along with many others with young children. It is perfect for children around 7 and under with their outdoor play areas, miniature railway and walks around the lake.
Yearly membership is reasonably priced and the cafe too making it a perfect quiet place to spend a few hours in Eastbourne's sunny weather!!

Was brilliant!! Went with the family for Easter Sunday and the children loved it! The train was perfect and was finished off with someone dressed as a bunny giving out chocolate. The children were amazed :)

We go here at least once a week in good weather. The cafe is out doors it is clean and the food is good. They dont do chips which is part of the reason I take my son, & he will always choose a sandwich box which is very good value. It is family run and a wonderful safe haven from some of the busier venues of childrens entertainment locally. Plenty of room to let of steam for kids, and yet relaxed and not too expensive here mum can sit and drink tea and enjoy the sun.

This place is good if you want to pop in for a couple of hours. They charge extra for the train rides £1 per ride. The play area is average and could do with more things in it. There is a tea and coffee area so adults can sit down or grab a cup of tea or coffee.

We enjoyed the site with a 3-year-old nephew - after train stuff there is a playground and picnic area - good for a small summer outing, but not a long day out as not that much to do (we went to the seaside afterwards)

This is such a brilliant place to take the kids in eastbourne- it's open from march-november, all for £12.50 each! the staff who run it are great- kind, and really care about their tourist attraction. Coffee is gorgeous, and a bargain and the kids can just run and let off steam at the play park areas. It's great!
I use a wheelchair, and it has good access (ramps, accessible loo and easy seating throughout)- although you can't get on the trains. They allow you to bring a carer in free of charge.

This really is an exceptional place.

Me and my two daughters had a lovely day out it was brilliant and only about 10 minutes away from the caravan park we was staying at... We got the unlimited ride stamp and it was well worth it. There was people going up to the counter for more passes to go on and eventually they must of got unlimited rides there is lovely scenery and gorgeous grounds, a kids play area an one especially for tots, and the picnic area was stunning, we walked round the grass walk and you can even pass people fishing. It was a lovely sunny day too which made it even better... We all loved it and if we are ever given the chance to go again we definitely would!!

Set just out of Eastbourne, minutes by car. This is a little nugget.
Theres a huge lake, around which the trains run. A central station, with a food area. Or you can wander, picnic in the grounds. Travel the trains around the lake. ( They are miniature, so you are out in the open). You go through tunnels, bushes & bends.
Its a fun day out!

I took my 2yr old grandson and he loved it. There could be a few more little bits to play on around the plastic house ,but theres enough to keep under 3s occupied for a couple of hours. you need the weather on your side.

Loved the steam train and went on it 8 times! Worth buying the ticket that allows this. Lots of small tracks and model railways to enjoy (20p pieces needed) and good playground and picnic facilities. Loved it!

The centre piece is a small railway which you sit on for rides around a picturesque lake. In the week they use a diesel train but at wekends they use some of the wonderful steam locos. The line includes a tunnel, bridge and level crossing and is fun for all the family, entrance includes a ride on the train, you can buy extra rides for £2 or an unlimted ride pass. There are also climbing and actvity playgrounds for the kids including dolls/play houses and everything is centrally located around a cafe and picnic area so you can bring your own refreshmenst. the toilets were spotless and there is a nice little shop. Great family run enterprise which all the family from 3 to 76 enjoyed and not far from Eastbourne retail parks if you ned to do some shopping as well!

Great day out for children with train rides and playground equipment. Parents can relax with a cuppa and snack while the little-uns amuse themselves in a secure enveronment.
Perhaps the addition of a paddling pool wouldn't be amiss.
