Ride-on miniature steam railway set in lovely parkland with various play areas and a nice café and shop. Enough to stay all day if you want. Plenty for the kids to do. Buy the multi-rides ticket and hop on and off as often as you like. A little crowded in the holidays, but not too bad.

What a fantastic place. The owners have been developing the miniature railway since it opened in 1992 and whatever the weather the kids will love it. Unlimited train rides around a lake with tunnel on a real steam train, the only difference is you are sitting on top of the carriage!

Fabulous food in the cafe and a large gift shop, could not ask for a more perfect day out.

A really enjoyable afternoon with the grandchildren. The train ride is good fun, and the walks around are very pretty. There is a very good play area, and the exhibition is really good.

Been there several times and each time it is fun. The train rides are great for adults and children alike!
Nice shop there and refreshment served as well. Been there in good weather but also in windy weather, still fun. Big area for children there to climb and play.

I go here with my son almost weekly when it's open (believe its April- nov) the staff are always friendly and clearly have enthusiasm for their job and business. The only thing I think let's it down is the 'cafe' which serves limited microwaved jacket potatoes, basic sandwiches and not much else. It's a shame there isn't a selection of cooked foods or even Pannonia, baked goods etc. the coffee isn't great and very basic. Tbh most days I dint get a chance to sit down here and enjoy the coffee anyway, I'm too busy being dragged around the playground, slide, train etc. as for someone coma planing there is not much to do, there's loads! The annual pass is great value at 12,50 each if you're local and come more than once strongly recommend this option. Value for money wise is amazing compared to knockhatch, blackberry farm etc.

Brilliant little track, very friendly staff would go back time and time again. If you have the all day traveller ticket you can go on time and time again. The café has a wide range of food and the staff are only too pleased to help. Lovely play area for the children including a picnic area and fishing lakes for the men!!

We had a great family day out here. The site is well kept with an adventure playground for the kids. There is a shop where you can purchase food (we brought a picnic so I can't comment on the quality). The food we saw coming from the kitchen looked good and consisted of jacket potatoes and similar type meals. The trains are a lot of fun and are very well kept. There is just one circuit round the grounds but even so I could not see purchasing a single rider ticket. We bought tickets for unlimited rides (about £2 more than the single ride). I think we must have done 10 or 12 circuits. The nature walk is good fun and there are a few swings, etc around the walk. A great day out for kids of all ages (including adult kids).

Last Saturday we had our family get together at EMR. Mike,Rachel and family are relatives of mine. I hadn't visited them for many years. One of my grandchildren once had a birthday party there.....that was about 13 years ago. The family have really done well. There is a great adventure park...plus things to do for the little ones. Mike and Rachel usually add something else to t he site during the wintertime. We had a big gathering there ...at least 40 people. The train ride of course is the main attraction.....especially for Thomas the tank fans. They have special days for this too, including at Christmas time. A good day out!

Visited here with my two grandsons aged 6 and 10. Unlimited train rides if you purchase a family ticket or you can get the unlimited if you buy the dearer single ticket.
We had four rides altogether interspersed with the play area and the lake walk. The elder grandson was happy to play with his brother but not a lot to do otherwise for older children, I think it was the parents and grandparents who enjoyed the rides most !!!
Take a picnic as there are lots of benches to sit at , no inside eating and if it`s raining there`s no shelter apart from the gift shop, and on a busy day the kiosk food can take quite a while to be served, we waited 40 minutes for ours , not good with hungry boys to feed.

Went here for an afternoon with 3 year old and 18 month old. Went for an unlimited train ticket.
The park is well kept, toilets and everywhere really clean.
A good play area for the little ones.
Only 1 train going round every few minutes and same journey every time. A bit boring for anyone over the age of 5, but little ones enjoyed it.
Slight disappointment was the model area, this wasn't very big, and required you to put in 20p to each area to get it working, felt a bit miffed as just paid £25.50 to get in.
Overall, really good for an afternoon, but no longer.

I took my 4 year old who loved every second. Spent the whole day there. She enjoyed the play area which has a lovely picnic area for adults. She really enjoyed the small play area with the little cottages (that are very cute) food was lovely and came out quickly. Very good price and a great day out. Even I enjoyed going on the train :-)

My 4 and 2 year old children had an excellent time. The unlimited train ride tickets worked well as we couldn't keep my son away. The play areas were lovely and definitely big enough. The wooden play equipment was different to the usual generic stuff in playgrounds.
The entire park was clean and well maintained (including immaculate toilets) and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.

My son is 2 and loves trains and happily spends all day here so great value for us.

The cafe serves simple freshly prepared food at good prices. And the train play table in one of the many seating areas kept 2 year old happy while we ate. Many people brought their own food and there are plenty of places to sit.

The toilets are clean with changing facilities for my baby.

Well stocked shop which you don't have to walk through if you don't want to risk tempting your children.

There is plenty to entertain young children - model railways, minature ride on railway, adventure playground.

As you can tell the train mad 4 year old had a great morning riding the train and looking at the models and the adventure play ground kept the 6 year old girl happy as for mum and dad we though it was a little bit to expensive to get in and would not keep the young one entertained for a whole day but other than that it was very well kept and the loos were nice and clean. We Will be going back as the children enjoyed it so much

I went with my 3 young kids and it kept them occupied all day. They loved watching the train go past and waving. We all walked around the whole nature reserve first, then had lunch and played on the swings which caters for all ages. The highlight was the train journey but then playing in the swings, the wooden wendy houses and putting 20p in the very miniature railways kept them going all day. Really good family atmosphere, founded by a family and keeps that ethic...def worth the very fair entrance fees!

Dragged kicking and screaming Saturday afternoon opening afternoon of the football season to this Railway Adventure Park by my partner and her two grandchildren. I loved it, we took the all in package at £25 (I think) for 2 adults and 2 children and could use the train as often as we pleased.
Plenty of tables sun & shade. A nice trip out.

We took the grandchildren here last year, and we all enjoyed it. lots to do and reasonably priced so won't break the bank.
Must have a ride on the miniature train and don't forget to ask the driver to take your picture before you set off. Food very good and not had to wait to long for it. We all enjoyed it and the grandchildren never said once they were bored so that has to be a result

This attraction is easily found on the main Lottbridge Drove in Eastbourne. We have been a few times now with our granchildren. There is a good play area with all the equipment that children enjoy. Picnic tables are available and most families used them for their purpose. The miniature steam railway is fun, and if you pay an "all inclusive" price you can ride as many times as you like. Certainly a lovely day out, with a picnic, and at a reasonable cost. Ice-creams are available at reasonable prices as well. For the keen train people the shop is well stocked with lots of items.

If you want good entertainment for 3-5 hours, but without the usual high cost (e.g. Drucillas...) then this mid-sized, friendly, family run establishment is ideal. We took our 3 & 5 yr olds there for a fun-packed 5 hour visit, and got really good value for the modest entrance fee. There's quite a bit to explore (although not quite a full-days worth) and the site is well thought-out and a really warm welcome. Its run by a family, and you can tell that they have designed the site with families in mind. We'll definitely be going back!

We took our six year old granddaughter for the first time today and she absolutely loved it. Prices are reasonable at around £6.75 for entry and unlimited train rides. Food and drink etc are also not overpriced and very good. Probably not for the older child, 8+.
