I have been a member of this place for around 6years and most of my friends with kids are too. It's a family run attraction and they always add/replair/change things every year. You can see they spend money looking after it. It's £15 each for a years pass which it excellent value and the miniature train rides are cheap if you buy 6 at once. There are lots of picnic tables as well as a cafe, climbing frames, a maze and you can walk round the lake where there's another small play area. Love this place. As we have a pass we just pop in for couple of hours with a picnic because it's a lovely setting.

I brought a young child here, who absolutely loves trains. He was so excited when I told him where we were going and it exceeded our expectations.

We bought an unlimited ride pass.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the place was clearly well-kept and clean. It had a very welcoming atmosphere. The playground was great with a separate area for smaller children. We walked around several times; encountered ducks, Canada geese with goslings & fish.

In the middle there is an angling lake and the anglers were all very friendly too and happy to chat with my young companion.

We went on approximately 6 miniature train rides and my young companion loved every minute of his day there.

We brought a picnic with us, but you can also buy food there.

A great day out and I would highly recommend this place, especially if your child LOVES trains!

I was especially taken with the indoor miniature trains (bring 20p coins or wait for someone else to put some in).

Enjoyed a lovely day at Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway with our family.
Opting for unlimited rides on the steam train was well worth the money.
The park is lovely, with plenty to do for the children. They loved the steam train, and watching the driver fuel the train with coal between rides. They also enjoyed all the attractions there involving trains, like
watching Thomas and Percy puffing round on the smaller track and also playing with the little trains set up on the bigjigs table, which was fun.
The slides and climbing frames were suitable for both tots and older children, and as the miniature train passed by the park, the children loved to wave to the passengers on board.
The highlight of the train ride was going through the tunnel!
Refreshments are available, including ice creams, and at the shop toy trains and accessories for train sets can be purchased - Ideal for birthday or Christmas presents!
This is one of Eastbourne’s little treasures, so keep supporting this unique attraction, so the trains keep puffing and the park attractions are maintained, and so many more families can enjoy this great little venue.
We will be back for sure! 😃 🚂

We visited today with our 2 daughters age 8 and 12. There is something for everyone here, riding on the train was so much fun, and hardly any wait for them either. We went on 4 times! The walk around the grounds was lovely, a great adventure playground and a fun (very muddy) maze! The staff were lovely and friendly, and there was also lots of warnings about the mud which meant we could change into our wellies before getting too far into the park. Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

I would have given 5 stars but the maze is a quagmire! Why do they not put railway aggregate down. It does not sink into the mud! Apart from that lovely place for the family. The train ride is nice and smooth. Fun play area.

We have been visiting this place since it opened over twenty years ago. Run by a lovely family, it's always great value. Steam engine (sit on) rides, coin operated trains, café, playground areas for all ages, a lovely lakeside walk, fishing and clean(!) toilets. It closes for the winter each year and every time it reopens it seems there is something new to enjoy. We will be back again and again.

A great day out for young children and the young @ heart. Who doesn't enjoy a walk around a lake and a few rides astride a minuture steam engine. Great play park, more to do en route and although you can bring a pack up, the cafe serves lovely cream teas and prices are reasonable. Best to buy unlimited train rides on entry as once is not enough!
