Really good afternoon with my two girls (5 & 7) loved the trains. Went on 4 times. Good variety at the playground. Maze wasnt very challenging but they still enjoyed it. Food and drink was a little pricey but still nice. Overall it was a good experience with friendly service.

If you wonder where to take your kids so they can enjoy a great and fun day and still keep the budget tight, this is it.
The annual ticket is well worth because after three visits you are already saving money.
Many things to do, great walks , great views and great staff.

Wonderful day with the grandchildren. They played for hours in the adventure playground. My favourite was the ‘thomas’ miniature railway. None of us got tired of the joy and thrill of the ride. Even the ‘fat controller’ played his part. The nature walk on a sunny day is an easy stretch for young and older members of the family. A low tech, slower paced escape Great value

My little brother loves it here. Great place for the kids to play for the day. Although not a great deal here other than the train ride and a lot of little parks for the kids to play on.

Extensive playgrounds and open spaces. Lots of miniature steam and diesel locomotives, although often only one running. Entrance price is reasonable but the season ticket is especially good value. Hot Ian cold food available with seating outside but the range is limited.

Lovely day out, not too expensive. I’d say pay the extra to get unlimited train rides as best thing there. :-)

Whilst taking part in a weekend for transgender folk and partners in Eastbourne, as another place to visit, a small group found we could fit in a return visit here in between other planned options. On arrival they had just suffered a power cut so entry payment had to be cash and limited refreshments available from the cafe. Luckily they found some generators to power to main railway signals. A good trip with helpful staff who were not fazed with M2F trans folk at thier attraction. We had hoped the new loco 'Flying Scotsman' would have been the duty loco but where content with 'Britannia'.

My son regularly visits with his childminder and even has an annual pass. (Which is brilliant value for how much it costs)

I finally took my son myself and am so annoyed it has taken me so long to visit.

My four year old was desperate to show me the train ride so we took a trip round the lake on it. You need to buy tickets but definitely worth it.

The big playground near the station is great and there is a seperate area for younger children. If you wander round the lake there is a maze, a few playhouses and another playground.

My son was also excited to watch one of the fishermen land a carp, it looked a good size too.

Looking forward to our next visit especially as I now have an annual pass too!

Love this place! The train ride is just long enough to enjoy the beautiful scenery but not too long to get bored or uncomfortable. The play areas are great - one for toddlers and one for older kids. The cafe is great with really friendly and helpful staff. It's a little expensive for adults, but not overly so. Just makes it a special trip out rather than frequent visits

We had a super day out at this family-run, fun park, with our grandson. With the variety of attractions in the playground, plus the lovely, sit-on miniature trains, he was entertained to the max. The cafe is brightly painted, and serves a range of goodies to suit every taste, and the cuppa was freshly made. The fishing lake is pleasing to walk around, with a variety of wildlife & water fowl, though you need to be quiet(ish) as there are fishermen paying good money to be there. Parking is free and near to the attractions, so handy for buggies & wheelchairs.
