three year old grandson, who is train mad! This is a family run business and it has that family feel. Lovely picnic areas, a walk round the lake, large playgrounds with good variety of play equipment, snack bars and of course the miniature train, which runs constantly round the lake. We got unlimited passes sounded up going round three times. We saw foxes up close too. Reasonably priced compared to other attractions and a grand day out.

Young children will love it here. There is a large playpark. A lovely walk around a huge lake. and of course the steam train which everyone loves(adults as well) You can bring your own food here but there is a small cafe for light bites coffee etc. If you live near enough it is worth getting a family season ticket

Took my 2 year old great granddaughter, lots of play equipment, beautiful walks round the lake, beautifully maintained picnic areas, and a cafe serving a variety of foods. Best of all we paid for unlimited rides on the miniature railway which we took full advantage of, on our final ride we had the added bonus of seeing 2 fox cubs close to the track. A must do activity for little train enthusiasts. This is run by a local family who take great pride in making the experience memorable and special.

Spent 4 hours there today and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! I went with my 3 boys aged 7, 3 & 2 and my mother and father in law and husband. We all enjoyed the steam trains and would recommend buying the unlimited pass, well worth the money. The parks and walk are also well kept. The staff were all super friendly and the cafe was well priced and the food was delicious. Nothing negative to say, will most definitely be going back!

I visited here with my parents who both have mobility problems and myself in an electric wheelchair and my two autistic daughters. I had no problems. We had a lovely day here. Play facilities are great for the kids. What a lovely find. I will definitely recommend and visit again. Staff were very polite and helpful. Thanks

As a family, we love the Mini Railway. We go so often and the kids just love it. There are plenty of playground areas, including enclosed ones if you have kids that like to make a run for it! The mini trains are great fun, I enjoy going on them as much as my kids do!

My children had a fab time playing here going round on the mini train several time and the member of staff stood at the train gate was excellent with the children and entertained them during a long queue. Would recommend however can be a little pricey dependent on how many train rides as there isn’t much else to do,we still thoroughly enjoyed our day though and kids had a fun time.

I think my title says it all! Visited with two of our grandchildren. Firstly entrance is not expensive and great value if you go for the multiple train ride ticket. The grounds are well maintained, actually very well maintained.plenty of tables/ seating for those that bring a picnic. Food is refreshingly inexpensive, well presented and good quality. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The children loved the train and the adventure playground is great for clambering , playing etc.

Finally, parking is excellent and FREE!

Go visit you will not be disappointed... we will be going again soon... nearly forgot ... the coffee is good quality 👍

Lots of climbing frames, slides and swings. Plenty to keep children happy for several hours. Multi ride tickets for the trains and a lovely walk around the park. Fun in the maze. Miniature railways to view as well as ride.

I love this place! I’ve been going to this little gem for years, initially when my own son was small and now whenever I have friends with little ones visiting. It really is a wonderful day out if you have smallish children - I would guess about aged 8 is the cut off. It’s fantastic value, especially if you opt for unlimited rides on the trains. Also a great playground with separate areas for smaller children, a maze, riverside walk, picnic area and a cafe which again is brilliant value. A family run business where everybody is always smiling. Go and find out for yourself!

We went today to celebrate my son's birthday. He loved the trains. We felt that the drinks and snacks were a reasonable price. We would have stayed longer than the 4 hours we did if if wasn't so hot (obviously not their fault). There were loads of little play areas and the whole place was nice. The model trains were nice and only 20p a go which was good. We will go back.

As a train and transport enthusiast of all types this railway had to be visited. The track is a reasonable length and in very good order unlike many!! The display of their locos is excellent with very good explanation boards. The buildings and layout etc etc are perfectly kept - everything is very very clean and crips. I have a gripe tho the price of £5 for 1 circuit of the track lasting a couple of minutes is the biggest railway rip off I have experienced in many many years. Admitedly you can go unlimited for £7 but why would you want to with only one engine in steam?? I visited 30 mins before closure and was offered this ticket also!! This is rip off big style. I visit dozens of minitaure, narrow gauge and model engineers lines and this caps the lot!

We went in Easter to this place, was nice despite the weather was cold and muddy, the place is really nice, the unlimited rides entrence is an excellent option, I think we went at least 6 times on the miniature train, they have a display you need to pay an extra £1 and you can see a lovely mini train, the playground area is big to keep the children busy for a couple of hours, we spent all morning but in a sunny day you can be there easily all day

This is a magical place. Reasonably priced, £27 for a family of four with unlimited rides on the train. Take lots of 20p pieces as the children like to activate Thomas and other rides. There is plenty of places to eat your pic nic or there is a shop selling snacks. £4.25 for a children's lunch box I felt was very reasonable. Lots to do for a gentle day out.

Lived in Eastbourne for about 5 years and this was my first visit, well what have I been missing. Fantastic place for kids of all ages. Took the grandkids but i'm going to sneak back on my own. Everything very reasonably priced from entrance fee to snacks and drinks and Loads of free parking
On one of our 5 rides I sat right at the back next to the Guard, lovely chap who told me that most of the 6 or 7 steam trains on show were built by the owner or owners son, amazing.
A must visit place

The EMSR is just lovely and ideal if you have young children. Everything about it was lovely and great value. Seeing a family of green woodpeckers made our day too!

Having spent a few days being stung by prices charged for any activity with children this was wonderful.

Firstly, the prices are extremely reasonable. There is an enormous amount to entertain young children. Even the refreshments were very reasonably price.

Secondly, the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful.

The 2 year old enjoyed this so much, she insisted that we went again.

I would highly commend and recommend Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway Adventure Park

Visited this attraction this week and our two boys aged 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 and they adored it. Entrance price was good value and the boys loved going around the track all day on the unlimited rides entry ticket They also enjoyed all the different play areas dotted around the site. Will definitely be returning in the future. Don't forget some 20p's to power up the tiny model trains on display which again our boys loved.
