Excellent railway experience for kids - scenic ride on a mini steam train. As it was Easter, treats for kids from the bunny! Plenty of activities for children too.

Only a short wait for the train ride, plenty of picnic tables and hot food available if required. We opted for the unlimited rides, but you'd have to be a real aficionado to go round more than twice.

Went with my daughter in law and 4 year old autistic grandson. Beautiful grounds. Great value for money, grandson particularly loved riding on steam train and watching Thomas the Tank Engine go round. Play areas are excellent and very child friendly. Cannot wait to come back again

We go to the miniature railway on Lottbridge Drove about once a year when our two young grandsons come to visit. It seems like there is something new each time we go, the kids loved it and the new under 5's area was a definite hit. The train is always the main attraction. The staff are very helpful and we have a good time each time we go.

A day out for young and old! Lovely country walks and wild ducks, geese, and swans, with a play area second to none. The main event of course is the wonderful minature railway! Take a picnic or buy a meal there and don't forget to visit the gift shop.

This place could be amazing but the facilities are tired and there's not a lot to do really - once you have enjoyed a quick train ride with the expensive standard entry price. You can pay a little extra for unlimited rides. The miniature train ride is fun and the scenery is lovely. However, a lot of the environs could use updating to make them more attractive, fun, and appealing. There's a large play park but there are plenty of lovely free parks to enjoy with your children. The maze is fun but quite limited. The food is very poor value and the ingredients are cheap. I ordered two sandwiches and these came without garnish and both my sons struggled to enjoy eating them. One sandwich had a cheaper supermarket style ham and the tuna looked like it had been thrown into the other sandwich. There was no salad or garnish with the sandwiches. I was disappointed to find cold anaemic looking bacon in my BLT roll. I just took it for granted this would be hot and freshly cooked.. The food was expensive.

Love, love, love it here! Kids love riding on the train and seeing the train lay outs (bring 20p coins) and the play park is fabulous! Food good and reasonably priced too.

Visited here for the first time today (depsite being locals). Was very sweet and a bit more laid back than other attractions near by. Entrance fee was good value for the unlimited train rides. Nicely maintained areas, lovely little play area. Friendly staff and plenty of places to sit. Picnics also welcomed and plenty of picnic areas to use in the playgrounds.
Kids really enjoyed themselves , although from our point of view it is much better for very young children (under 5). Unfortunately the toddler play ground was ruined somewhat by some unpleasant and unsupervised older children who spilt their ice creams in the playhouses and were generally quite unpleasant to other visitors.

A very nice place to visit. Lake walks, play parks for ages up to 12 years old, miniature train rides.
Everything is clean and well kept.
Would like in the future to see extensions to the railway or an alternative route. A lovely day out
