We love this place! It’s perfect for a day out - it’s got everything you would need to keep little ones busy. Snacks/drinks/hot drinks etc. A range of playgrounds, 20p slot rides and then there are the miniature trains themselves which are really well looked after and adored by all the children who see them. The ride round the park is the perfect length and if you’re lucky you’ll see a proper train go past on the line next to the park at the same time!

Busy at weekend and in the holidays so if planning to go on one of these days just make sure you get there for opening time to avoid the queues or arrive after lunch.

Love this place. Take plenty of 20p's for the little train sets.

I’ve never visited before despite living nearby but took my toddler with some friends at their suggestion and was pleasantly surprised.

There are really lovely play areas for children set amongst lovely gardens and lots of trees, with views of ponds/lakes. This makes a lovely change from most play areas which have no shade and it made such a difference. There were loads of picnic tables and areas too.

The price of the tickets was very reasonable and I bought a membership for £15 but a day ticket was around a fiver. The cafe and ice creams were also reasonable - not wildly inflated prices like most places. I liked that it wasn’t over commercialised.

Last but not least, the train ride was really lovely, it was the diesel train the day we went but it was a lovely ride around a lake and felt very rural and enjoyable!

I would mainly recommend visiting to family’s with younger children or miniature railway enthusiasts! I will certainly be returning.

We took our granddaughter to have a ride on the train and found so much more there. The pretty garden and picnic spots, the maze and lots of other fun things to do. Well worth the price of the ticket.

A great place for young children to visit and have a wonderful time. It's more than just a railway, and has been put together very well.

We took our 2 little granddaughters here in the half-term holiday and they had a lovely time. We bought the tickets for the "ride as much as you like" on the miniature train and they loved it. We had a lovely walk round the station and over the bridge and saw the model railway. They also had a great time in the children's park on the swings, slides etc. It is all very nicely done and as it is very local to us we will definitely come again.

We took our 2 year old Grandson here on a very hot Saturday afternoon in late June. Upon arrival we were surprised at how quiet the car park was, which was a nice surprise. The welcome we got from the young lady on the entrance was really nice, we opted for the “ride as much as you like” ticket, under 3’s are free so was great value at £15 for all 3 of us.
Our Grandson loved and wore him out by the time we went home. Food was good value, drinks were reasonable prices as were the ice creams.
There’s a lot more to do there other than ride the trains, there’s fishing ( although this is reserved for members) swings, slides, a toddlers area to play at and a lot of model railways and rides for kids to go on all priced at a very reasonable 20p.

If you’re stuck for something to do with the kids you can’t go wrong here. It’s really an enjoyable, we opted for an afternoon out but you could spend a whole day and if you took a picnic there wouldn’t be a need to spend much more than the admission fee.

This place is not far from the town of Eastbourne so my husband and I decided to pay a visit. We were pleasantly surprised by the well kept grounds, things to see and do such as nature walk and maze as well as cafe. Over the little bridge is a lake used by anglers and water birds alike.
Best of all were the many miniature trains. We opted for unlimited rides and weren't a bit embarrassed by the fact that we were there to enjoy them even though everyone else had a child in tow.

we hadnt been for a while, its still reasonably cheap at 7,25 for unlimited rides on the train ,has a good park and you can walk around the lake for 30 minutes, there is a good choice of food on offer at reasonable prices, its not expensive but there isnt much to do ,you can pad it out a bit but its a morning or arvo not a day out, most of these type places tend to add an attraction every season but here its just as it was more or less 10 yrs ago with only minor add ons none of which are in kids interests.lacking but not much money
