Most seaside towns sported a bandstand back in the day and it's really great to see that some of them have been saved and renovated to the conditions they were in during their heyday.
This is certainly one of those and is used on a regular basis for concerts/weddings/etc.

Never been to a performance, but the structure itself is amazing. Good site to make a video, out of season you could act out a short scene, film it and shove it on U tube! They do all sorts of performances here which look pretty cool!

We were walking the seafront over Christmas and heard the sound of music, Stopped and listened for a while. This site is obviously used regularly and is well attended. I would not go there unless I was walking past or unless we had booked to see a concert.

We were staying in a hotel facing the bandstand and heard some terrific music from outside, so we went out on the balcony and saw the bandstand packed full with lots of people. We quickly went over to see a fantastic band playing full orchestral music with a wonderful lead singer. This is a spectacular event that must not be missed especially on new years day as they sing and play all songs that every generation will remember. You can get mulled wine, coffees, tea's and donate to good causes. Makes you feel good to be part of the event.

Well positioned on the seafront and near to the pier and carpet garden this is worth a visit. I was disappointed that my visit was early in the year when there was no entertainment scheduled. I would imagine that this would be fantastic when there is live music

New years day morning at the Bandstand is a great experience . Local band that has been playing here for decades gets everyone up to old traditional songs.

if a brass band was playing you could not get dad to move some times to the annoyance of mum who was of a much livelier disposition we would often go for a walk and then come back for him I think it reminded him of his army days

Band stand "look a like" concerts are very good as well as the brass band concerts. Can some times get a bit chilly in the evenings need to sit at the front to get a good view od the fireworks on band nights.

We go here for the tribute bands in Summer and love it. Oh dear, have we reached that age? No, you can be any age as there are a large variety of tribute bands and normal music events. It's cheap and simple. Bring your own food and drink if you wish, sit on a seat and let the evening pass to the sound of good music and company. There is a bar on sight if you'd prefer!

Directly on the seafront and a great variety of different types of entertainment. They have a super summer programme, brass bands, musicals, tribute bands etc and an absolute must on a Wednesday night when they do the 1812 overture which finishes with a firework display. You will not be disappointed.

Have been to several Cover acts, and enjoyed the professionalism with these acts. I'd hope to have a longer season of acts from April through to october. The only downside, are the prices of the bottled alcohol are steep, and the coffee shop s bloody awful!

My Favourite summertime Revival venue. Great to be outside on a summers evening get your fish and chips before the show and have a drink during. Lovely place.

Lovely as a bandstand with many events held here in the afternoon and evenings. Followers of Foyle's war will have seen it used as a tea room. Come and see a brass band on a Sunday afternoon or some top acts in the summers evenings.

Often events are scheduled here, and it's nice to visit/see, but could do with some renovations/improvements. Nice for walking along the seafront with a 3-mile uninterrupted promenade.

Music and entertainment on boxing day. Mulled wine etc, to buy, but for charity. At 12 noon a group of swimmers plunge into the sea. Brrrrrr

This is such a beautiful bandstand and (in my opinion ) is the second best landmark I have ever been to, the Taj Mahal being No1
