Great band playing and finished with 1812 Overture then superb fireworks over the bay. A good night and friendly staff, only downside you need to use toilets outside for 20p.

We came as a couple to see the Lionel Richie tribute concert, we'd booked the tickets about two weeks prior and were surprised to find out that seating was a 1st come, 1st served basis, that said we managed to get reasonable seats and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
To use the toilets, you had to leave the area and pay 20p which was a pain but didn't detract from our enjoyment.
They do a lot of tribute acts here, and for the price of £15.50 for a couple, it's well worth the outlay for a couple of hours, there's a bar on site as well - Happy Days/Nights.

Had a wonderful experience with The Zoots 1960s show. It one was one of the best nights of the year! The staff were all very friendly and there was a fantastic atmosphere. There were people from as young as six year olds all the way up. What a brilliant night! Thank you!

Watched a tribute to Lionel Richie this past weekend with my husband and have to say it was a great night. We even got up for a little boogie towards the end of the evening.

Great atmosphere and very good night's entertainment. Book or arrive early as this attraction is very popular, has a bar, and full security checks on entering. A wide variety of acts on show, check local poster information or what's on guide.

This is a lovely historical bandstand with something going on most nights of the week in summer. Seating set on 3 levels, the only issue is if its rainy or windy, you feel the full brunt. I'd love to go back to see the big band or firework concerts.

Having been brought up with watching music at bandstands I wanted to introduce my wife to the spectacle. I chose a Brass Band concert as that would be as near to my memories as possible. I forgot that my memory should have included the wind and rain.
Nevertheless it was a great evening not just because of the good music, but particularly the venue which has acoustic brillance and surprisingly comfortable upright deckchairs.
Plus, if you get in early enough (no reserved seats) it is possible to sit under the cover of the balcony above - and still get a good view

Excellent show, very authentic. Great audience participation.
Weather fine but cold so wrap up warm if you go.
Thoroughly enjoyable singing along to all his numbers and more. Well worth the money and he never stopped.

Fabulous old Bandstand right by the sea. Tribute bands throughout the summer months, some of which are very good. Even when the 'not so good' ones are on it is still a good experience on a summers evening, there is a bar. It does not cost much and the crowds get behind the acts and enhance the atmosphere.

The weekly tribute acts held throughout the summer area real summer treat. If you are looking for a memorable evening this is an experience not to be missed. And it's pretty cheap too! There's a different tribute each week covering all tastes but my advice would be that if you are only around one weekend then give it a go. Pack a coat or blanket in case the evening is chilly and dance the night away. I've been to 5 different shows this year (we always book when friends come to stay) and they have all been great.

We attended a tribute night here whilst staying in Eastbourne. It was a last minute decision and so pleased we went. The venue is super and the act was very good. Seating is unreserved but we got very good seats under cover ( rain was threatening but did not materialise. Booking tickets was simple we did it on line and collected them at the box office. Price was very reasonable for such a quality act. Seats were comfy - despite being canvas and drinks were reasonable. Had a brilliant eveing and would definitely retur. They have tribute bands every Friday and Saturday and a band on Sunday.

I've just played in a brass band in this lovely venue. Its really quite a special, quirky place. For £3 or so you get to relax in the sunshine and out of the wind and enjoy the venue.

How lucky Eastbourne is to have such a special bandstand (the only one like it in the UK) and for it to be in full use for concerts for all tastes. It was built in 1935 with a unique design set down off the promenade close to the beach. The very popular regular 1812 concerts are still going with their popular firework finale, and ours was with the Eastbourne silver band, some members of which are remembered as having lost their lives while continuing to play during the sinking of the Titanic, and there is a plaque on the wall to their memory. Just remember even after a warm day it can get very cold during the evening!!

I saw the weekday evening concert with 1812 overture and fireworks advertised on a Things to do page and waited to see what the weather was going to bring. Thankfully we had a lovely evening. The facilities are great and there are comfy chairs and a bar serving hot and cold drinks. The Silver Band were really good and played a mixture of old and more modern music finishing with the 1812 overture and firework display. For the money this is great value. We travelled from Hastings to Eastbourne and parked easily near the venue. Great night.
