EXCELLENT NIGHT OUT & VERY CHEAP!! Got the early bird tickets for £7.75 each. Concert started 8pm & scheduled to finish 9:30pm. Fantastic lively atmosphere, plenty of room to dance. There is a bar on site & drinks reasonable. For those whom don't drink alcohol, coffee, tea, water is available - snacks such as crisp & nuts available at the bar. If you are planning a trip to Eastbourne it is a must see in your list of things to do. We will definitely go again. We had the best time ever, it was Amazing!!

Wonderful evening even considering the terrible weather. The band were amazing and played beautifully despite gale force winds. Amazing soloist named Margaret whose rendition of a lullaby was so exquisite I was reduced to tears.

A very busy Bandstand that plays host to several brass bands as well as many tribute bands. A great all round venue.

We arrived too late to buy tickets, but stayed outside to listen it was lovely. The fireworks at the end were spectacular. If your in Eastbourne on a Wednesday evening, this starts at 8pm & is well worth watching. I can't wait to visit again.

I visited as the wife wanted to see a Neil Diamond tribute band - didn't want to go but you know how it is! What a great, great evening, a visit to Harry Ramsden fish and chip shop just a hundred yards from the bandstand, sitting on a bench on the seafront while eating them, selecting a seat inside the bandstand with no stress whatsoever, a bar just a few feet away and a great show!

I attended two concerts here, and I have attended others over past year or two, included Tchaikovsky Firework concert, a band night and a salsa Cuban night.
Concerts are well organised and there is a bar in here. One tip is to sit under shelter as if windy it can be cool if sitting outside. First come, first served but if you pre book you get early bird offer.
Very enjoyable evenings and opportunity to dance too as space in front of bandstand. Security and bar workers are very professional. Overall a very pleasant and worth while experience. Always a varied programme during the Summer months.

My wife and I attended the 'Beached Boys' evening in June 2017 - and it was a very cold and windy evening - just after the warm spell - so it felt colder than it was. We had the seats right in front of the stage - and therefore suffered most of the cold breeze along with being pushed and shoved by dancers. So the tip here is - get seats further back.

Also beware - you have to go OUTSIDE for the toilets and they are 20p - to get in!!! If you have no coins you are in trouble!

Spent the last evening of our holiday at the 1812 firework concert with the Wealden Brass band. Thoroughly enjoyable evening and we were surprised to find we were not the youngest in the audience! The female guest singer was not the best, but enthusiastic. It was nice to have a licenced refreshment bar on sight. Will definately visit again.

Went for the 1812 with fireworks, brilliant. The local brass band were very good and the fireworks better than you might expect.

We had a fabulous evening listing to the Beatles tribute band. Unfortunately the show started too early for us to purchase tickets, but we could hear the music and see the show from a distance. In fact the music was so good we were dancing in the street. It was unfortunate the show started so early - 8 pm as it is hard to co-ordinate everything but I suppose there is a 10 pm curfew.

Für mich der großartigste Bandstand an der Küste. Etwas verteckt findet man eine Gedenktafel zu Ehren John Wesley Woodward. Er war der Bandleader der bei der Titanic Katastrophe bis zuletzt spielte und dann auch um kam.

Eastbourne Bandstand is a gem of a location. Situated on the picturesque promenade it is a lovely venue for small concerts and other traditional seaside performances. It does, however, have its problems. The approach to the venue is difficult for people who have problems managing steps or walking more than a short distance. These problems are exacerbated by the restrictions placed on the number of entrances for heavily booked events, the ticketing policy which allows access but not the booking of a specific seat and the lack of clarity regarding these restrictions at the time of booking.
The above circumstances allowed our enjoyment of the midweek 1812 Concert but made our attendance at the Friday night Jersey Boys performance an irksome affair.

I attended a concert that culminated in fireworks to Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture. A 2 hour brass band concert for only £7.75. Excellent value for money. It was so lovely to see one of these old bandstands been put to good use. A wonderful evening.
