I thought this zoo was a bit pricey but we wanted to do something fun with the kids after winter lockdown so we went anyway. We had a magical day and I dont say that often. The zoo and rides were perfect for our son, who is nearly 3 and even our baby had a joyful time looking at the animals and bouncing on the trampoline and smaller play equipment. The park had a really nice laid back atmosphere and all the staff we saw seemed happy and engaged. The whole thing seemed to be designed by a team that really understood the journey and imagination of the children who visit. Please don't ever change the maze, it is weird and wonderful! We will definitely treat ourselves to another visit soon.

Lovely place to take younger kids, it was a shame that not all of the rides were operational at any one time, but understandable given the current circumstances, there is an amazing outdoor play selection for children of 5+, and a nice area for the younger kids- my daughter played on the trampoline for a half hour.
The animals are adorable and interesting and various.
My 21-month-old loved the monkeys.
There is also a water play park area that, whilst not extensive, was nevertheless fun for the kids.

Food is overpriced and fairly standard fare; burgers, hotdogs l, nuggets etc.

There is a picnic area outside the park so they can discourage you bringing your own food to eat inside the park which, whilst understandable, is upsetting.

Staff are courteous and kind.

The Red Panda Experience was absolutely amazing! The keeper, Jamie, was very informative and answered all our questions. The pandas came down for their food which we gave them by hand. Although we were not allowed to touch the pandas they could touch us and the cheeky boy kept touching my arm to let me know when he wanted more food! Such an amazing experience that did not feel rushed. Afterwards we were free to spend the rest of the day in the park.

We had the best day today! My 2 and 6 year old had so much fun there! I would highly recommend. The mini theme park rides were a huge hit and we didnt wait longer than 5 minutes at the most to go on things. The zoo part was good fun to and a good selection of smaller animals to look at and enjoy. If your looking for bigger selection such as lions, giraffes, elephants etc then this definitely isnt the place though. Everything was well organized with covid restrictions in place. We would most definitely return!

Great day out kids loved the animals and to top it the fun fair rides were free and varied food a bit pricey but that's to be expected it is a attraction great to see numerous hand wash and sanitiser stations and also the staff sanitising the rides regularly

Small zoo, more for children. The rides were for kids too. The restaurants could do well to offer some healthier choices, as it was just burgers and pizzas.

Lovely day out for my grandson's birthday. The animal enclosures are well maintained and constructed so you can see the animals. The play equipment was imaginative with loads of different things to do. There is a water play park so bring a swimsuit and towel if your child is going to enjoy that sort of play. It was crowded today, the park has taken care to be a covid safe as possible and most members of the public were respectful of space although there weren't many masks being worn in crowded spaces.

Zoo (happy looking animals), rides for all ages, dinosaurs, gift shops, train, cafe (very good coffee), an entertaining maze and Covid safe (in my opinion). I'm sure there is more, it's well worth the visit.

My youngest son had an amazing time with his « zookeeper for a day » experience for his birthday, the zoo keeper taking him on tour was very knowledgeable and friendly and he will treasure memories of how the meerkat tickled when they stood on his lap, or when he held 3 different snakes (his favourite animal). It lasted 5 hours and Marc and my friend who was his responsible adult didn’t see the time go !
In the meantime I was in the park with Marc’s brother and sister and we all enjoyed our day very much, so many different animals to see, feeding the lorys, and of course the rides. The park was not too crowded, the weather was brilliant, definitely a perfect day out after so many weeks of tougher lockdown restrictions.

I surprized my 6 year old son with a 'Zookeeper for a Day' experience at Druisillas soon in Alfreston in December 2020.
We had an absolutely fantastic time! He was allowed in to most of the 'behind the scenes' animal enclosures and fed a lot of the animals. Highlights were the Meerkats coming and running all over him when he fed them monkey nuts. And the rainforest room was amazing! We got to handle lots of reptiles from snakes to rats to seeing the Armadillo run around the room.
It was a jam packed fun day. One we will never forget and one we hope to do again.

I’ve been going to this zoo since a young boy. Although it had changed during the years, it still manages to hold on to some of the classic locations. With the addition to the rides added, Drusillas have moved with the times. A nice weather day is best recommended to get the most out of your visit as a lot of attractions and things to see and do are based outside. However, should the rain start there’s a plenty of places to hide away. Good is quite reasonable if purchased on site. If not, a large picnic area is available although tables fill up quick. Always a good day out

I went here once, about 55 years ago, when I was a nipper. In those days, it was a lovely little country zoo.
