Good place for kids. Some animals are kept in small spaces for my opinion which made me sad despite place was clean and all animals looked healthy. Only restaurant in the park very slow

We used Tesco clubcard points to pay for our tickets, which were tripled so for us it was great value.

We arrived later at the park than planned (12.30) due to having a toddler but this worked well as we seemed to avoid queues/crowds in the zoo area. Our one year old enjoyed seeing the monkeys, birds and meerkats close up and the zoo section was very educational with lots of interactive displays for older children.

We didn't make use of the playgrounds as my son isn't old enough but they looked great for 2-10 year olds, especially the splash park. I would really recommend this place to families.

Only downside was the queue for food. As we went on a weekday only one cafe in the middle of the park was open and at 1.30 the queue for food was long and food choice fairly limited. There was also quite limited seating which was full. We only realised after having lunch that there was more seating around the other side of the cafe - better signage for this seating would be good.

Most of the park had one way systems in place to fit with Covid restrictions but some people were going the wrong way. Again better signage would help with this.

A great day out and we will come back next time we are in the area.

Lots to do with kids. Play area, splash area, rides, zoo. Kids had a great day. Only improvement would be to have a few more food places as queues can be long.

Great day out, staff very friendly and welcoming. Went with just me and my wife so only took about an hour and a half/2 hours maximum to see everything but was a very good visit. Will definitely come back with kids when we have them! Highly recommended. Loads of interactive elements for children and activities/rides too. Top family day out

Due to Covid we had our Sloth encounter cancelled twice, when we finally got to go in May 2021 we thought it was worth the wait!!
Whilst the encounter isn't cheap, my daughter, who is obsessed with sloths, was so excited and so happy afterwards that we felt it was worth the money.
My husband and I paid our entry to the park using Clubcard vouchers which was a very easy process.
We enjoyed a look around the zoo and amusement area before our encounter took place. There are so many animals awake and active in the zoo area and my 10 & 11 year old thoroughly enjoyed seeing them all. We all commented on how unusual it is to see so many awake and active animals. We loved the parakeet enclosure and we bought a pot of nectar and they all flew onto our arms to drink it - that was fabulous.

For the sloth encounter, we had a wonderful host called Amelia. Amelia was enthusiastic, friendly, informative and chatty in all the right quantities.
My youngest daughter has ASD and she took her possible special needs into consideration and offered reassurance to us all that it would be fine.
The sloths sleep for 18 hours a day and they are specifically woken up to receive their food once a day and my daughters both had the privilege of passing fruit and vegetables to them. They are magnificent and cute-looking animals and to get so close to them was such a treat.

After the encounter we spent some more time in the playground and amusement area of the park. I would say that my children are at the older end of the age range that this park is suitable for, but they still made the most of it and enjoyed themselves.

The park is really clean. There are lots of litter bins, lots of hand sanitisers and plenty of toilets. All of which are so important for safe family days out.

We would like to go back and take our niece and nephew, who are a little younger, as we think they will love the park very much.

Thanks again Amelia and Drusillas :-)

All the animals where out even though it rained, unfortunately we did not have a great day because off the rain. The kids where unable to enjoy the play area. One massive hint would be to avoid the food the cafe, we ordered 8 burgers, fry’s and drinks paid almost £100 for it and all received food poisoning after, not badly only one off us vomited, the rest had upset stomach. Please please take lunch with you.

Expensive family day out, considering it very much a child based animal and child park. To do several things inside the the ark extra cost , and a good selection of pay for children’s rides just inside the entrance , so after paying £100 to get family in I have to say no to my children wanting to have a ride .. no need to have coin activated rides out side your shops , roll the coin activity’s dotted around.
Food was basic and expensive.. £7.25 for a jacket potatoes then drinks , it’s a. Potato with cheese or beans,
In poor weather picnic area is no good at all lack of under cover bench’s , if it raining you have no place to have a picnic , so if your going and weather looks iffy expect to put £45 on the day for food ,

Druscillas is starting the season looking a bit tired ,
Staff were great very helpfu,
Explorer cafe need to sort out better COVID catering system as moment there’s a que or weather turns you can’t give you COVID practice

Decent selection of animals up to kids of say 10 after that nothing really to excite them
Any kids over 10 would get bored in 1/2 a day and considering the cosy I don’t find that good value

It's a great place, even in the pouring rain! Really nice collection of animals and mostly open given the current situation!

A great day out. Friendly approachable staff. A good variety for all ages. I think prices are fair considering there is free parking and the cafes and gift shops are kept to reasonable prices. Some of the attractions are currently closed due to covid restrictions but there is still plenty to see and do. There is an abundance of hand sanitiser stations and it's very easy to socially distance. You get a free zoo map and animal spotter book on entry. It may be worth mentioning that some of the encounter spaces, shops and cafes get very busy if its wet out as people take shelter from the rain as there is some sheltered areas but mainly you're in the elements.

Yes it's expensive, but honestly we spent 5 hours there and the kids (11 & 8) were shattered after. Animals look very well looked after, cages all clean etc. And play area and rides were great. We took a picnic so didn't eat at the Cafe. Wasn't crowded and loads of hand sanitizer stations and everyone wearing masks indoors. Would def go again, but only once a year treat.

I took my daughter to Drusillas for a Reptile encounter - it was amazing ! She held 3 snakes, met a bearded dragon, a blue tongued skink, some tropical insects and an adorable armadillo. Our Zoo keeper was very knowledgeable and put us at ease with the animals. It was super to see behind the scenes - we've been coming to Drusillas since she was a baby so it was very exciting to see how the animals are cared for and how things are organised
I think Drusillas have adapted well to Coronavirus restrictions , there was plenty of space, not too long to queue for rides despite it being a weekend and loads of hand sanitiser everywhere. The new Dinosaur area is fantastic too, we had a whale of a time and can't wait until we can come back again :-)

Went there as a child twice and loved it. Took my children there and they loved it. Took my grand children there they loved it. In short for forty years that I have been going there, I have only known positive experiences. Children love this place and the only problem you will have is getting them to leave. Please note that this magic may not work on teenagers.
