My youngest son had an amazing time with his « zookeeper for a day » experience for his birthday, the zoo keeper taking him on tour was very knowledgeable and friendly and he will treasure memories of how the meerkat tickled when they stood on his lap, or when he held 3 different snakes (his favourite animal). It lasted 5 hours and Marc and my friend who was his responsible adult didn’t see the time go !
In the meantime I was in the park with Marc’s brother and sister and we all enjoyed our day very much, so many different animals to see, feeding the lorys, and of course the rides. The park was not too crowded, the weather was brilliant, definitely a perfect day out after so many weeks of tougher lockdown restrictions.

My grandaughter had a keeper for the day experience and had the most wonderful time ( as did I!) the keeper who took us around was very friendly, knowledgeable and fun. We saw so many animals and I am tempted to book another one :!

I surprized my 6 year old son with a 'Zookeeper for a Day' experience at Druisillas soon in Alfreston in December 2020.
We had an absolutely fantastic time! He was allowed in to most of the 'behind the scenes' animal enclosures and fed a lot of the animals. Highlights were the Meerkats coming and running all over him when he fed them monkey nuts. And the rainforest room was amazing! We got to handle lots of reptiles from snakes to rats to seeing the Armadillo run around the room.
It was a jam packed fun day. One we will never forget and one we hope to do again.

I’ve been going to this zoo since a young boy. Although it had changed during the years, it still manages to hold on to some of the classic locations. With the addition to the rides added, Drusillas have moved with the times. A nice weather day is best recommended to get the most out of your visit as a lot of attractions and things to see and do are based outside. However, should the rain start there’s a plenty of places to hide away. Good is quite reasonable if purchased on site. If not, a large picnic area is available although tables fill up quick. Always a good day out

I went here once, about 55 years ago, when I was a nipper. In those days, it was a lovely little country zoo.

Great selection of animals, some of which ive never seen before. The only negative is I went to watch the Lemar feed and the women who was doing it was incredibly rude and didn't even acknowledge that we was there.

Delightful family orientated mini zoo tucked into the folds of the Sussex Downs. A tad on the expensive side entry-wise, once you're inside mostly everything is free. This zoo was built and designed for kids and families and everything is very well thought out. Lots of hands-on activities- including milking a 'mock' cow- this little darling is a must even on a damp day. So muchto do. Being a keeper for the day is a smashing birthday present forany child. Picnic area and lots of parking make it a sensible choice. Only downside: a Starbucks that seems to want everybody's coffee to come as half a pint of tasteless slush rather than coffee...tiny grumble.

This was our 2nd time as keeper for the day, and it was just as great. Loads of time with the animals and you learn so much from the keeper. Such a better gift for someone rather than plastic toys that you don’t need, and the money goes back to the zoo, win win situation. Gretel the armadillo, what a funny creature... all Covid compliant.

My daughter had the most amazing time on her Keeper for the Day experience. She got up close with loads of animals (had meerkats sitting on her lap, stroked the beavers and capybaras, fed the penguins, too many to mention individually!). She absolutely loved it and I would highly recommend it for a birthday or Christmas present.

The whole day was very special. The zoo keeper who facilitated my day was amazing and very knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble and the day very educational while bearing in mind all health and safety issues. I experienced a whole range of hands on feeding and cleaning with a variety of animals and birds. My favourite (although hard to pick just one) were probably the fruit bats and the Sloth!

I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of everywhere including feeding preparation areas and the quality of the animals food together with the thought put into their diets.

What an amazing 70th! birthday gift I had at this well run and special zoo whose whole priority is the welfare of its animals and the enjoyment of visitors. I would highly recommend it! I have now become a volunteer!

Drusillas is in a league of its own! My children have been members for 4 years and they are still not tired of it. Excellent standards of customer service and plenty of fun, young and older children love it here. I have always been impressed by the staff who are so kind to children and happy to help, whatever the problem. I will be very sad when my kids are too old for this place, it holds many happy memories for me.

This is one of the best zoos I have been to. It has a large selection of animals (lots of monkeys, birds and other small creatures. It has less of the big sights such as giraffes and elephants but what you can see is great. The animals seem happy and the enclosures allow you to see them quite close up. They have great rides here for very young children which you can ride on for free included in your ticket price. Heres also a great play park. There were a few things closed due to covid but I can see they are doing a great job of managing with restrictions. The staff were also very lovely. I can't wait to go back in the summer and see everything again and hopefully more. Would recommend.
