So it was the first time that we all visited, Drusillas but didn't get off to the best of starts. We came through the gates and saw that the first ride wasn't open. So we went to the next one and was about to queue up and the woman said it was closing. A little miffed, but went to the next ride. Our 4 year old daughter was queuing up, for the man to say this was closing as well.
That's where we got really upset and cross. We had only been in the park like 5mins to be greeted with a closed ride and rides that are closing. For a family of 4 who have paid a lot of money to come here for the frist time this was really bad to be treated like this. We wasn't told about staff being on rotation between rides when we entered, and later discovered that this is only during the week or quieter times.
If this was the case then ticket prices should be cheaper or warned at entry.
Another little gripe was that there only seemed to be one restaurant that was that open and all the middle place were shut.
We got the kids a children's lunch bag one cheese sandwich and another jam sandwich. The cheese one was fine, but the jam sandwich one was pathetic with the amount of jam inside. There was more butter than jam! I'm all for being healthy but this was silly.
Overall the kids had great time on the rides seeing the animals and playing in the playground.
A little disappointed but turned out to be an ok day.

Great experience! I took my 2 year old daughter and she absolutely loved it! Loved that she could 'stamp' the animals that she saw as she walked round, it really got her involved. The park itself has a great range of animals. We enjoyed feeding the parakeets (small additional cost). The splash zone (not open all year) was a big hit too! Strategically placed at the end of all the animals so you can spend the rest of your day in the splash park and the play ground. Some restaurants /eating areas weren't open I think was due to Covid but we took a pack lunch anyway. The little train ride was really quick but it was a cute novelty. There are also rides to go on which are manned alternatively.
There's a dinosaur area with animatronics, a walk through with lemars and a farm yard area. Lots to see and do!
A great little park and we will certainly be returning!

Their saying is “no ordinary zoo” and it isn’t! Very rare to see all the animals out and visible but every exhibit was open and active except for the otters. That’s fine because now we will be coming back. We still need to ride the train as well, just ran short of time!

I organised an educational trip for a group of Home educators here. The price was a draw, they make educational visits really accessible. There were around 50 of us in total, and I was bereaved the week prior to the trip, and was frankly dreading it, but James, who booked, liaised and taught the session we had while there, was just a dream. Friendly, reassuring, excellent communication despite having been on holiday during our booking conversations, and he was extremely knowledgeable about the animals. He was also very patient with me!

Would absolutely recommend Drusillas for educational visits, or a day out for the family, the children had a wonderful time and I am already thinking about next time!

So lovely to go to Drusillas for our daughter's 1st birthday, we had such a brilliant day. Lots of points of interest with animal facts and things to do. My 4yr old and his cousin especially loved the rides, the train around the park and Go Bananas playground. There was plenty of space and all the staff were super helpful and friendly. We'll be back again very soon.

I had the most amazing Keep for the Day experience!
It was my 55th birthday gift but was delayed due to Covid. I was delighted to finally be able to do it. Clare was brilliant! She told me many things about the animals and their care.
A highlight was my lap full of meerkats!

Always great to come back here. Plenty for kids to do, food is of a good quality in the cafeteria. Kids play area seems to grow and grow every time we come back. Animals look well kept and healthy. Staff attentive and friendly. Well worth a visit.. dont drive past. !!

Very expensive 3 year olds pay £30 to enter

One of the best zoos I’ve been to. Entry fee is £30 for adults and children under 2 go free.

There are a lot of animals to see and a great park to keep the children entertained.

A few reason for giving this zoo 4 stars. The souvenir shop was really poor and only sold teddy’s really. Also the main cafe wasn’t open but they did have a second which was open. We didn’t get any of the food there due to the price it was very expensive for any zoo I’ve been before, felt like I was getting charged Disneyland Florida prices.

On the plus side there are lots of local places you can grab a bite to eat.

For the price....i dont recommend. They do have quite a few animals but when we went the places were empty. It wasnt because the animals were hiding, it was because they didnt have any. Its way too pricey for what they offer.

This is brilliant zoo for families with younger children. Range of animals inc reptiles, monkeys, farm animals & dinosaurs! Big outdoor play area with small water park & a small train and several fun fair rides & a maze. Also several restaurants onsite for food. My son did the red panda encounter and the staff were brilliant going through how they looked after them and he got to feed them. Used Tesco clubcard points which helped but the zoo can offer a full day’s fun for the entry price. Recommended.

Good place for the kids but think it's quite an expensive ticket price if you don't pre book. Little child's park wasn't open when we went which was disappointing as our son is only two and couldn't play on much in the other park. Good day out though with some nice animals and rides. Our son especially enjoyed the splash zone which is great!
