Lovely old fashioned theatre with welcoming staff. Disappointed that the top two stars billed to appear on the first night of a week of performances were replaced by understudies and no notification made either by a notice in the foyer or a verbal announcement. Certainly not the tight comedy performance I was expecting. Relatively Speaking

Watched 'The invisible man'. Entertaining but not very funny.

Seats are uncomfortable. Toilets are clean. Pringles were £1 a tub which is reasonable.

I love The Devonshire. It's a beautiful characterful theatre and I have seen many a good show here. Sadly I am unable to say that about The Invisible Man, which I sat through this evening.
I was not expecting a vaudeville type farce containing frantic overacting and cheap laughs but that is what this show consisted of.
Needless to say, it was not for me, although many in the audience seemed to enjoy the evening.

Been here a few times now, always feels cosy! A "pocket" Victorian theatre, seats could be just a tad wider but still decent enough. Back here in a few weeks

Great little theatre with some good shows. Well worth a visit if in area and they have a show on, even if not the type of show you'd normally pay to see. Need to support live shows / small establishments like this.
