Really nice theatre in Eastbourne. Usually good productions. We really miss the time when you could have tea or coffee and biscuits in your seat but I suppose 'health and safety'!

This a real theatre, desperately in need of a facelift but so, so much better the the Congress. Has great plays etc, and is a delight to visit.

Devonshire Park Theatre is a lovely old building, which has sadly been allowed to fall into some disrepair by the local council who, I believe are the owners. The seating is comfortable however and the views of the stage are well planned. The sound-system works well, unlike its sister theatre close by, the Congress.
I can recommend this theatre as a venue for plays, musicals and the like, but not rock concerts....the building wouild probably collapse with the volume!
In common with the Eastbourne Hippodrome, which the local council seem hell-bent on turning into flats or some other nonsense this place is crying out for a complete restoration. In the meantime, support the place, and show that it is worth it!
