Lovely Victorian Theatre in excellent condition. A perfect size, large enough with a dress and upper circle to provide a sense of occasion, yet small enough to feel intimate.

First time visitor to this theatre, would highly recommend visiting. Quite a small, cosy theatre, your typical layout with the stalls at the bottom and your upper circle's and boxes. We visited to watch little shop of horrors and it was fantastic and would highly recommend for all.

This is a traditional theatre with red plush and gilding. The staff are friendly and helpful. As it is an old building there are a lot of steps and not many toilets. The easiest ones are just inside the main door. I recommend the ginger and honey ice cream!!!

We went here for a conference. It's fairly old style and has a vintage feel to it. It was pleasant enough. Toilets were clean.

Great show Some Mothers Do 'Ave Em ! Slightly spoilt by lady usher who curtly told me twice that I should print my tickets and showing on my phone wasn't correct - I said I had no access to a printer and as the date etc were clearly visible I didn't see an issue - maybe she should have a scanner ....

Went to see importance of being Earnest. Excellent performance . Theatre does need upgrade as seating in parts very cramped . We edged along front row of circle to reach seats at far end annoying other patrons who could not believe this was only way to our seat. Toilets really sad with long queues for ladies and gents dirty and tatty. Excellent acts here deserve petter facilities.

Four of us attended at the Devonshire for this performsnce. This is a lovely harmless farce and the play was very enjoyable. The inevitable queue for the ladies loo!

Visited on the final night - quite a few empty seats.
Starred Gwen Taylor of Duty Free TV show.
It was in 3 parts - the second being not so interesting.
Lovely theatre which I was more interested in seeing than the show. Tickets were £25 plus £1 booking fee.

Great shown but we were sat in back but rite of the circle so didn't have best view of the whole stage, and did not see the big screen that was at the back of the stage. They did have a couple of TVs but these were difficult to see. TBF it's a very old theatre with lots of character and friendly helpful staff

We went to see London Philharmonic Orchestra on Sun 8th April for my birthday. The website tells you of restricted view but does not tell you how extremely limited leg room you get in some parts of the upper circle. I am 6ft, and although I appreciate such a theatre was built for the Victorians thus smaller, shorter people in general, I could barely sit down, and the top of the seat in front of me was painfully digging into my knees. Had it not been for some vacant seats behind us that we could move to we would have had to vacate the theatre and get a refund. The LPO were amazing as always, beautiful flautist, such talent all round.
We were very shocked at how rude people were when we moved seats as well, not a very good example of manners or behaviour from the older generation. Plus we couldn't believe how scruffy the people were, they certainly don't dress like that at the Brighton theatres! Real shame because it's a lovely little theatre, sadly we wont use it again.
