Another fantastic visit - this time for our daughters 18th. Food faultless, lively bar playing brilliant back ground music ( libertines rule) the owner knows his wines and recommended a fantastic new one to us. Can't wait to go back x

First night child free in months and had a lovely relaxing evening in a lovely setting, we had a friendly waitress who put us at ease.
We had a shared meat platter to start it was presented really well and there was plenty to eat of excellent quality food. For the main I had the confit of duck which was sublime and my fiancee had the steak which was beautifully cooked and plenty there.
The wine selection was exquisite and next time we won't be driving to ensure we can enjoy it fully!

Well not so new anymore, but new to us!
We went in may with friends and enjoyed a lovely meal there. The staff are very enthusiastic and caring. They didnt have the wine we wanted but recommended a suitably delicious alternative.The food was excellent, I recommend the beef rib starter as a main.

As a cheese and wine enthusiast you can only imagine my joy when I discovered Cru was opening in Eastbourne! Personally I found there was a distinct lack of this kind of bar in the local area so I was really hoping it lived up to my expectations, and it definitely didn't disappoint!
The owners of Cru manage to get the perfect balance of welcoming you like an old friend, but also offering up their expert knowledge when choosing the perfect wine to complement your meal or to enjoy on its own. It's safe to say that Cru is my new favourite haunt!

I have visited Cru numerous times and it is by far my favourite place in Eastbourne, I love it! We attended Cru for a quiz night and had great fun, there is always a brilliant atmosphere. The wines are fantastic, such a huge choice, as well as the food which is delicious. The staff are really lovely and you always feel welcome, would definitely recommend.

An amazing wine bar! Superb choice of wines and a delicious menu to compliment the wines. Extremely knowledgable staff! My friends and I had a fantastic Friday night, we really didn't have to go anywhere else. I must also add that the background music was an awesome eclectic mix of music. As people have commented before; this is exactly what Eastbourne was missing, but not anymore...Cru, you have smashed it!

I went to Cru with a friend for lunch- the interior is done beautifully, they've made the best use out of a small space. We only had a sandwich each but they were well presented and made with fresh and quality ingredients. The wine was lovely and priced just right. I can't wait to go back!

I have visited Cru now on a number of occasions and been impressed each time.. The food is great and the extensive wine list is fantastic.. That accompanied by friendly, extremely knowledgable staff makes it a must for food and wine lovers..
This particular visit was for a business lunch with several business associates who were all equally impressed, a perfect venue to entertain clients. I also visited on a Friday evening with friends,and enjoyed a few bottles of wine at the bar, which had a great, buzzing atmosphere.
My first visit was for a Sunday lunch with my family, which was amazing and well worth a try.. The staff have catered for my needs on each occasion in a different way, always welcoming and ensure I have had a great experience.
As a final note you must try the Grand Cru, (ask for the smoked ricotta, amazing) plus the Plan Turning right wine.. Wow, had to buy a bottle to take home!!

Whether you're looking for a casual drink with friends or a business meeting, this place is the one for you. Worth visiting to try some of many amazing wines they have. Service provided by the staff is exceptional, and owners of the place will make you feel special no matter what the occasion is. Great wine, great food, great atmosphere. Definitely the best place in Eastbourne.

Unique formula in Eastbourne. Lovely ambience, with nice mix of high and low tables. Have visited several times this month trying various tapas dishes which have all been perfection. Wines very complimentary but not cheap. All in all an excellent place ...

Booked a table due to recommendations but not sure I agree ... Nice enough atmosphere and food but nothing stunning and rather overpriced for what it was. Bit pretentious for me, I'm afraid ... But the majority clearly love it so what do I know?!!

I am probably a little bias, but this really is a wonderful place to eat and drink. Many of my friends have already been to Cru and say the same as I do - very attentive staff, a nice and relaxed atmosphere, lovely food and great wine. I actually love the Cappuccinos after dinner too. Hardy and Jordan, the managers of Cru, are a very welcoming couple. They really treat every customer as special and like to get to know their regulars. I come to Cru each time I visit Eastbourne and every time it gets better and better. I particularly like the mix of high tables with bar stalls and lower tables in the restaurant. Thanks for opening a lovely new wine bar in Eastbourne - just what we needed!

At last a excellent wine bar / restaurant arrives in Eastbourne . Fabulous range of wine with great friendly knowledgeable service . I've now tried nine of the wines which have all been superb 144 to go ! what fun ... Try the chilli squid its a must .

Went for lunch on Sunday. Very welcoming and family run, creating an intimate and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy an afternoon with friends. The small plate wild mushroom croquettes are magical and I treated myself to the rhubarb cheesecake which hit the spot - both creamy and tart! Topped off with delicious wine, perfectly paired by people who know their grapes! I left sharing smiles with the owners and will definitely be heading back!! And I'll be trying the nut roast next time.

Slow cooked beef ribs Tempura vegetables
And loads moreBig portions of well thought out beautiful food. Lots of lovely different client x

I have been to Cru a number of times since it opened last month and every time have experienced brilliant service from the staff! Just what Eastbourne needs a place to enjoy a nice glass of wine with excellent food to nibble on too, perfect setting for a couple, or a girly get together! Highly recommend

Popped in last week for a glass of wine with friends and managed to get a table to try some nibbles. Wow...this is what Eastbourne needs, it was really busy, great atmosphere, staff who knew what they were doing, knew their wines and made you feel really welcome. The cheese and continental meat boards were ideal accompaniments to fine wine and you can choose from a menu for larger bites if you wish. This place is new but it won't be long before it becomes firmly established in Eastbournes regeneration.
