Came on here on a Sunday for a roast dinner with a few friends. The food was lovely as was the wine and the service was fast and friendly. Also a really lovely atmosphere! Will definitely be back :)

I went to Cru with a friend for dinner one Friday night recently and have tk say that it was one of the best meals out I've had in a long time, particularly in the South East.
I had the best fillet steak I've ever had, a delicious wine to match and the team there were just awesome. Thanks so much to Harvey, Jordan and Erin who looked after us so well.

Amazing steak! Shared the tomahawk and it was cooked to perfection... Sides delicious as were the small plates of chorizo and scallops. Lovely attentive staff, really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Booked a meal here on a short stay in Eastbourne. Difficult to find the restaurant - down a dark street with little signage - so you need google maps! Felt slightly more cramped than other restaurants with tables spaced but still felt a little near each other. Food was very good and the staff friendly. But meal slightly marred as my husband's wine glass shattered in his hand, just after being poured, covering the table. Staff moved us and cleared up the mess but no offer of replacing the wine. So paid for a bottle of wine and only had three quarters of it through no fault of our own. Shame that they couldn't make this small gesture as the rest of the customer service had been good.

We booked this for a dinner for two without the family or our dog. Lovely atmosphere.
We had a glass of fizz and a bottle of rose. Both were very good.We ordered a selection of small plates. The bread from Poppyseed bakery was lovely.
The small plates were very good. The key lime pie for dessert was just right, not too sweet.A special thank you to Megan for her very attentive service.

Booked a table for 5 people at 7pm - very surprised when allocated our table to find we were definitely not even a metre apart from the table of four behind. Whilst the food lived up to it’s reputation we felt uncomfortable staying beyond the time it took to eat our meal, in hindsight we perhaps should have decided at that point to turn around and walk out. No monitor checks on entry though staff were all wearing face masks. Food and service very good - but in the current environment we need to feel assured we are in a safe environment,

3 times now, Ist March for a Sunday roast of Beef Sirloin which was 2nd to none... Booked for 2 weeks later then Covid19 hit.
Our return was our first restaurant out of lockdown 1st October... For an evening meal. Which was very enjoyable, not least to get out again. 7 months late lol...!We went again on Sunday for a roast, decided on the Lamb for a change...
The Beef was amazing but the Lamb surpassed that.... The best, Leanest, Tenderest Lamb I have ever tasted..... It really was Sublime! Megan has been our waitress the last 2 times, not rushing us but efficiently serving our dishes and drinks.
Sweet dessert had Churros.... My husbands big favourite!! Not really for me... So we ordered 'him' some. Obviously I had to have a taste..... WOW!! I ate half (3) THEY ARE GORGEOUS!
The meal each time we go gets better than the last.... The food here is utterly superb.... Highly recommended. Give it a try!

We loved this place. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful, friendly staff. Drinks were great, with some nice cocktails on the menu. Food was outstanding for every course. Highly recommend.

Had a bottomless brunch there today. The hostess could not of Been more welcoming from Explaining exactly what food we were served to topping us up when needed, be this Tea, water or Prosecco nothing was too much trouble. They staff were so friendly and helpful I honestly could not fault my time. Would definitely recommend.

A pleasant return end warm welcome. A nice atmosphere, when we arrived. We were shown to our table and received the menu. We received a glass of water on ice.
Shortly after we could inform our wishes.One of us was vegetarian, but that was no issue.We started with a few different smaller dishes, which we shared together. Great tastes. These were POPPYSEED BAKERY ARTISAN BREADS, whipped salted butter, SAUTÉED PADRON PEPPERS, homemade aioli, DUCK ANTI PASTI, smoked duck breast, duck liver parfait, 9 roasted artichoke, sourdough crostini, PAN SEARED DIVER SCALLOPS, café de Paris butter, wilted 11.5 spinach, crispy capers, pancetta and WHIPPED GOLDEN CROSS GOATS CHEESE, roasted fig flatbread, 8.5 pickled walnut, rocket (V). As mentioned these tasted delicious and looked very appetising too.
As mains we opted 3x for the 35 day DRY AGED FILLET - 8oz (with BONE MARROW BUTTER and HOMEMADE AIOLI) and 1x for the SMOKED TOFU & MISO RAMEN BOWL, broad beans, pak choi, buckwheat soba noodle. The meat tasted really great, what a treat it was.Our deserts were coffee, port and
