Had the most wonderful meal for our 4 year old Grandson’s birthday.Food was amazing. The wholemeal vegetarian pizza was delicious. Service was wonderful. Everyone is so friendly there. A fantastic night out. Many thanks to Lia for her kindness and excellent customer service and for making our evening so special for Charlie. We will be back soon.

We came to Eastbourne for a night away to celebrate a special birthday and wedding anniversary.
We were staying at the Grand but we really wanted to try this Restaurant as we love Italian food.The food and service were top notch and I particularly like the size of the Restaurant as its quite small and friendly, not too noisy so we could chat.
I would recommend 100%The garlic bread was the best I gave ever had and even better the coffee was served in a mugs x

Evening out to the theatre and over from Worthing so don't know the restaurants in the area. Went with the advice of the reviews on trip advisor and it didn't disappoint!!!

Great menu - with plenty of lovely choices. Really recommend the Focaccina Pizza and dips to start with - the dips were simply delicious - so much flavour. We followed with a an excellent pasta dish and a calzone pizza which was too big to fit onto the plate. Easily the best Italian meal I've had in a long while...since my visit to Lake Garda 3 years ago!

Called in on the off chance. Very friendly, attentive staff & excellent food. Shame there were only a smattering of other diners, but it was a Thursday evening. The bill was a lot less than we expected too

Our second visit to this restaurant confirmed our first impressions. Excellent food, beautifully cooked and presented, by a waitress who really knew her business. Conversation confirmed that, as we had guessed, this is a family business and gives one the feeling of being an honoured guest, not just a customer. The waitress suggested that we try the Aglianico red wine as being nearest to the Primitivo which, unfortunately, they did not have. She was completely right. No one could have chosen better. She was also able to explain each dish and it's preparation. We left more than satisfied and vowed to return soon. Learning Italian is not rquitred but I felt that I should learn a few words to thank her, and the chef, properly

Strangely, the review I wrote after my visit in August hasn't appeared, so I'm writing another one.
Although I only visit once a year (the Airshow weekend) I was welcomed with a big smile and warm hug. It felt like coming home to see family! The food was as delicious as on my three previous visits, and there was also the addition of complementary hot bread with chilli oil this year, which is so moreish that I couldn't help but eat the lot!
If you like your wine, then (from a conversation I overheard) I understand that they source their wines directly from Italy so that you'll a) enjoy something different with your meal and b) won't then feel ripped off at seeing the same thing in your local supermarket on sale for a fraction of the price. The DOWN side of that is that the lovely bottle I had (over two nights!), I can't find for sale anywhere in the UK (I've seen a few others online, from wine merchants, but not that specific one), so I guess I'll just have to wait until my next visit to enjoy it again!
It's so easy these days to just gravitate to one of the Italian 'chain' restaurants (as you pretty-much know what you'll get), and it's always such a risk trying somewhere new and being potentially disappointed, but Anema e core is just lovely, and I honestly doubt you'd regret it!

This place is so lovely deserves to be number 1. We came on a Sunday night early and were greeted by the lovely waitress.
I had the clam spaghetti which was fresh, delicious and lovely. My partner had the sea bass and loved every bite.
Didn't really have room for dessert but tried once anyway. The Nutella pizza was sooo good I almost finished it.

Came here as a family recently for the first time and we all loved it. Staff very friendly and the food was delicious. Portions were quite small but big enough for us. Will definitely be coming back here.
and just a tip: if you get the pizza nutella for dessert, make sure you share it with someone because it's big, the menu should recommend that it's ideal for sharing!
