We held our company meeting at Alfriston Gardens and it was a great experience. The setting is stunning, with scenic views across the South Downs wherever you look.
The team were incredibly accommodating and attentive, and a lovely lunch was provided along with tea and coffee throughout the day. We used the smaller meeting room in Vine Lodge as there were only six of us. It was modern, spacious and full of natural light thanks to the floor to ceiling windows.

We recently held our company AGM at Alfriston Gardens and it was such a great experience from start to finish. We were in Oak Lodge’s spacious meeting room, which has lovely views out over the gardens and a modern, stylish feel. We especially loved the chill out area next to the very boujee bar which was a nice extra touch.
The catering was excellent. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning followed by a brilliant buffet lunch with lots of scrummy salad and pasta options. Everything was fresh and plentiful and went down very well with the whole team.
There were lots of thoughtful details included too, like pens and notepads laid out for everyone, water on the tables and a coffee and tea bar available throughout the day. The staff were so attentive and welcoming and we genuinely felt really well looked after.

We got married at Alfriston Gardens in August 25 and it really was the best day of our lives. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the service was amazing! We couldn’t have asked for any more, our friends and family were looked after so well and we didn’t have to worry about anything on the day. The catering was delicious and is still talked about to this day! Thank you Janie and Nell for making our dreams come true! J&T!

We had our wedding at Alfriston Gardens in November and it really is the most perfect venue. It was the very first venue we looked at, and even after seeing a few others, nothing ever came close.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. The Century Barn is stunning and full of character, and having so many rooms on site for guests to stay was a big bonus for us. Even on a rainy November day, the indoor space and the gardens were gorgeous, and we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day.
From the very beginning, the team at Alfriston Gardens were amazing. Nell was our wedding coordinator and supported us throughout the entire planning process, from our first visit right through to our wedding day. Nothing we asked her, or the rest of the team, was ever too much. On the day itself, Nell and India worked behind the scenes to keep everything on track, and we genuinely felt so well looked after.
We’re also so grateful to the whole of the Alfriston Gardens team. Everyone was lovely, helpful, and went above and beyond throughout.
So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, and we couldn’t agree more. We honestly couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else.

We had the most perfect wedding day at Alfriston gardens in October this year. Janie and Nell went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly. I can honestly say I felt no stress on the day at all, if anything did go off course I was oblivious! They were happy to accommodate any decor ideas we had to really make the venue ours for the day.
The Lavender Lodge is the perfect getting ready space and was so comfortable to stay for the nights too. Being able to stay there night before the wedding was really important for me so this was perfect.
All our guests were blown away by how beautiful Alfriston gardens is and how efficient everything was on the day. Not a single person had a bad work to say and that’s all thanks to Janie & Nell. Thank you both so much! Can we do it all again? 😅

We had our wedding at Alfriston Gardens in November. Having children we really struggled to find a venue that was safe and secure without compromising on the space. Then we came across this stunning, private and perfect venue. Not only is the space amazing, the team are absolutely next level. No matter what was thrown at them they made our day perfect. Everything from booking, planning, setting up and on the day was faultless. The catering they use (Black Pepper) are also fantastic! We were given so much choice and were blown away with the food and catering staff on the day. This is a really special, very unique and absolutely stunning venue with a small but amazing team running it.

A stunning venue, so well looked after and the team go above and beyond. The interiors of all the spaces have had so much thought put into them, it all flows so nicely and the bedrooms are perfect - cosy, comfortable and there's plenty of them. The food was also delicious, we tried afternoon tea and dinner from their wedding offering - I can't fault it (also, their service to the vegans in our group was notably better than usual). As a wedding planner I would highly recommend this venue and their team - a little slice of luxury is just what you need for your day!

We recently visited Alfriston Gardens and were really impressed. It’s a beautiful countryside setting, tucked away near Alfriston village, and makes a fantastic wedding venue. The gardens are well kept, the surroundings are peaceful, and it has that perfect mix of charm and elegance.
If you’re travelling by train, the easiest way is to arrive at Lewes Station, where you’ll find local taxis. We used A-Z Lewes Taxis and had a top-class experience — easy to book online, clean cars, and very knowledgeable drivers.
Highly recommended!

We had our wedding at Alfriston Gardens and highly recommend! It really is the perfect venue in every way. The staff are amazing, very attentive and make you feel like royalty on your special day. The venue is designed perfectly for the best wedding day. Beautiful gardens, barns and a simple stunning bridal suite. Having accommodation onsite for your most important guest too is lovely as you all get to enjoy breakfast together the day after. We had the best day ever. If you're getting married you have to choose Alfriston Gardens, promise you will not be disappointed.

Janie, Nell and the team at Alfriston Gardens ensured our wedding went off without a hitch. Communication and planning with the venue was smooth, particularly in the crucial days and weeks prior to the day. We were attracted to Alfriston Gardens for its beautiful flower garden, cosy rooms and useful on site facilities. Our ceremony took place in the beautiful Woodland Barn and we made use of the stunning gardens for games and photos. On the day Janie and Nell were superb, helping us when needed and importantly reducing the potential for last minute stresses. The venue is partnered with a caterer (Black Pepper Hospitality) who were also fantastic.

We had the most amazing wedding day at Alfriston Gardens. The gardens were the perfect setting for the outside ceremony we always wanted and looked absolutely stunning on the day. Dean at Black Pepper Hospitality was so accommodating with our wine and food with many guests saying it's the best wedding meal they've had! Janie was incredible throughout and her and Nell ensured the day ran seamlessly. Anything we asked was never too much. The rooms are gorgeous, having our loved ones with us in over the weekend with breakfast together on the Sunday was a lovely touch.

The Alfriston venue and the lovely people running the show made our daughter Beth's wedding the most of fantastic and memorable of occasions. Janie and Nell were simply superb . Meticulous planning and attention to detail without in any way intruding on the privacy and intimacy of the whole day. Their passion and love of what they do – throwing a fantastic wedding party – shone through at every turn . It was just seamless. I cannot thank those beauties enough.

A huge thank you to Janie and all her incredible team for making the occasion of the wedding of my daughter and her husband a few weekends ago a perfect event. Janies involvement in the planning many months before the wedding, right up to when we all left the day after the wedding was calm, vital and much appreciated. Add to this, the fact that everyone in Janies team (the gardeners, bar staff, the incredible kitchen team who produced wonderful food all day) did great jobs. We got married on 31st May 2025 at Alfriston. We fell in love with the venue the first time we saw it and it was everything we could ever have imagined and more. Janie, Nell and Dean were outstanding. Everything was thought through and planned so perfectly. The venue, rooms, food, service everything was 100% at all times.
