Without doubt the best spot in Eastbourne. Visiting my mum from Australia - pub is great, staff are incredible and the beautiful home cooked food is unreal. Definitely worth a visit if you’re around

2nd time we have been since change of management. Pub is done out so nice but garden needs some TLC. Staff very friendly and nice atmosphere. Serving of food was slow after ordering and only one of table eating. Starters took over 45 mins to arrive. Food was of good quality although steak and ale pie was over salty. We wouldn't rush back.

A lovely well presented meal. Generous portion and very tasty. Helen served us and was so patient and helpful. My friend has complex dietary issues and Helen took time and consideration to help with this.Thank you. And the chef too !

I have the privilege of regularly getting to DJ for parties at the Crown & Anchor - the team are friendly and helpful and the buffet is one of the best in town!

Nice place although the furniture makes it feel quite dark.<br>Very friendly staff and really helpfull.<br>Great garden with awsome little houses for the kids to play in.<br>Dogs are welcome which is lovely.<br>The only down side really is not much seating that isn't reserved.<br>You can still used the reserved seating so isn't all bad but have to move or leave an hour before the reserved time slot on the table so they can clean it etc.<br>Pricing isn't too bad either.<br>Chips are yummy and not too expensive and drinks are pretty affordable too.<br>When I went the ramp door was closed with a sighn to use the other door so not great for buggies or wheel chair users, I'm not sure if that's a common thing or just a one off

A good welcoming pub,found this establishment by chance really (as on line it was stated as closed) and noticed the lights were on so decided to pop in and see if we were ok for a meal and we were! We all had roasts of which were tasty but the veg could have been cooked a little longer and the roast pots also needed further cooking but alas as mentioned the meals were tasty,two of us had desserts of which were very nice! In the way of entertainment there seems plenty of it at The Alexandra Arms and noticed the night before a tribute to Adele was on and seemingly a great night was had by all,we shall return to this fine pub soon.

Such a warm and friendly welcome. We stopped by for a late Sunday dinner and they couldn't do enough to help us. Great food, large portions, we left very full! Will definitely return when in the area. (Recommend the nachos and the steak pie)

Lovely staff here. Very helpful and always smiling. The food here is lush! Definitely worth a visit. Has parking, which is ideal for the location. Kid and dog friendly.
