As this year draws to a close and 2014 beckons I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

As Chair of your local West Mercia Crimestoppers Committee which covers the counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire I would like to invite you consider how we can make our communities safer In 2014 and beyond.

It has never been more important for a collaborative approach to tackling crime, a collaboration between law enforcement, commerce and communities.

This years' Midlands Regional Conference will bring together representatives from across these sectors to discuss how best this can be achieved and in particular how, by engaging with Crimestoppers, delegates can make a real difference to crime in their community.

Delegates will have an opportunity to review the campaigns and successes already undertaken and achieved by Crimestoppers and preview the work of the charity going forward.

None of the work of the charity could be undertaken without the generous support of volunteers and businesses alike and this hear such support will be recognised with the following awards being presented at the Conference:

- Most Improved Committee

- Volunteer of the Year

- Most supportive law enforcement team

- Most supportive business

We look forward to welcoming you to the National Motorcycle Museum and the opportunity to tackle crime and make our communities safer.

There are marketing opportunities for businesses to exhibit at the event and support the work of the charity. For further information about these opportunities please contact Kevin Shapland at CJS Event Solutions on 0845 052 9601 or email
