So I have been looking for an easy instrument to learn and after looking into to it quite a bit quite a few people have suggested this. Not what I would have thought but I am picking one up today so should be fun. See blelow
Whether you're learning an instrument so that you can participate in music with others (through performance, say, or just in a social band for fun) or whether you're going to keep it entirely to yourself - the recorder probably isn't the right answer. Yes, it's easy, but it's not exactly inspiring.
I'd suggest harmonica. Cheap, portable, uncomplicated (doesn't even have that many notes!) and can be a highly social instrument.
