I am so privilideged to work with some amazing people, and last Saturday some them worked so hard to make the Carnival day so special.

We won first prize for best float and the atmosphere was wonderful, everyone had a great time and enjoyed themselves. It was made even more special a one of our club members was on the float with us.

Her name is Betty and she attends our dementia club in Braintree and has been attending since we opened 5 years ago. She is so inspiring as she will have a go at almost anything and has a zest for life. Essex Dementia Care helps her to to do just that, life doesn't stop with dementia.

Last night I gave a presentation talk to the rotary club in Kelveldon, it was about the different types of dementia and the work that we do at essex Dementia Care I was so pleased to receive a cheque for £100 to go towards the work of EDC.

This week is carers week and we have been busy promoting and raising awarness at different events. Today i was at a carers event at the Archer Centre East Street Braintree alongside other organisations. We also were in Sainsburys on Canvey Island talking to careres and helping them to find the right service for thier loved ones.

Time for a cup of tea I think
