Visited on Wednesday night for a gathering with colleagues from work, party of ten. Never been here before, easy to find and parking near theatre was helpful and very close.
On entering the restaurant, we were greeted straight away and the offer to take our coats was a nice gesture. Seated at our table and offered a drinks menu while we waited for the others to arrive. Nicely decorated and tables set out so your cramped unlike some restaurants.
For starter, the whole group had garlic bread, which tasted lovely. Next came my chosen main dish, Vitello Saltimbocca. Veal wrapped in parma ham with potatoes and veg of the day, carrots and french beans. Don't normally eat beans but tried them here and they were really nice. The sauce that came with the dinner was delicious. Good presentation of food and tasted so lovely. Dessert was Tartufo Al Limoncello, oh wow so glad I chose this. I would come back to eat all of those things again! Next time need to go with my husband.

We live towards the top end of town and this is always our go to restaurant when we go out.
Menu is varied but not too much choice that you are worried about making a wrong decision!!
I always go for the frito misto to start and the pollo milanese for main. Lovely food!

Reliable family restaurant. Food and service always good. Reasonable prices. Just avoid the table by the front door - it's draughty every time the door opens !

Wow! What can i say... but thank you so much to Sam, Sabrina and team for a fabulous lunch to celebrate a milestone birthday. We thought the food would be great ( and it was!) and the ambience and attentiveness of all the team was fantastic and made the whole event very special.

What a great meal we had from beginning to end. Really friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. The menu is extensive. Highly recommend the Garlic bread. The minestrone soup was the best I ever tasted totally authentic. The gamberoni were delicious. The linguine salmone was moist and lots of it. The matriciana was excellent with large pieces of spicy ham.
The prices were extremely reasonable and the draught beer was fab at £5.50 with lime.
Could not fault anything.
Our new favourite restaurant. Surpassed the New London hands down.

Tagliatelle salmone, fusilli amatriciana, gamberoni to begin and minestrone soup... Absolutely fantastic. Great atmosphere, super waiters, warm and nice music. A great find. Highly recommend.

I was out on a double date and the food and service was fantastic. The staff answered all questions and the food was fresh and nicely cooked.

A late review! However, 9 of us came for our work Christmas meal/ do at Il Palazzo.
What a great night! The food was absolutely superb! Everyone enjoyed all their starters, mains and desserts. I had a filet steak, which was cooked to perfection.
The service was fantastic, all the members of the team were attentive, friendly and helpful when asking re wine choices! etc.We had a really great experience at Il Palazzo, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. We was not felt rushed and we will definitely return here again.

Went for lunch yesterday, group of 10.

Absolutely loved this place, staff were extremely friendly, food was very good and it's beautifully decorated inside with a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Il Palazzo meaning a fine house or palace, this restaurant is strong and secure, very warm and welcoming, with good honest Italian fare to match, never been disappointed here, bustling place, with excellent and cheerful owners and staff, food is wholesome and plentyful, amazing minestrone, superb pollo Milanese and tiramisu to die for. Great wine list, with carefully chosen Italian classics and all at reasonable and drinkable prices. In its third year now, and certainly a mainstay for our family, just can't fault it. Keep up the good work gang, best pizzas in town too!

I was taken here by my sons and their families for my birthday on 22nd Dec. This was my first visit and I was not disappointed. The service was friendly and quick, the food was excellent and served piping hot. I could find no fault at all, a very enjoyable evening. Great Italian atmosphere. Will definitely be going again.

I've been to Il Palazzo many times (most recently last night) and the food is always amazing, the staff are very welcoming and attentive, and it’s one of the most authentic Italian restaurants I’ve been to outside of Italy. Would recommend to anyone, the restaurant in Westcliff is great too

Really impressed by this place - situated in the culinary wilderness that is the top end of Duke street this place is a little gem. Generous portions and good prices. Speedy service even though they had two huge tables in at the same time as us. A family run feel about it and excellent risotto. We will definitely come back for a pre-theatre meal again.
