We went on the off chance as we were staying down the road. Saturday night, managed to get a table for two. It turns out we were lucky as most of the restaurant was full just after we got there (8.15pm). I had the linguine with seafood. Smokey tasting tomato sauce which, at the first mouthful, seemed odd but it suited the meal. My wife had a pepperoni pizza and green side salad which she enjoyed very much, however, if you dont like spice you'd better avoid this pizza!
Staff were very friendly and efficient.If there is one small complaint it was the frozen desserts but otherwise I would highly recommend.

weve been meaning to try here for a while..and finally visited on a wet fri afternoon...they had just opened but there was still a lovely atmosphere.. within ten mins or so more people were coming in... good choice on the menu and specials.
nice friendly welcome with good service..good food and good value... this was a quick visit for us but was lovely..

Lasagner just come on it own would recommend putting at least a garnish on it to cut thought the richness.
Brushetta was lovely just needed a balsamic dip.
Great price for what you get beats the chains hand down for quality.
Would go again.

A more extensive menu, especially with the meat and fish dishes. These come with sautéed potatoes, carrots and broccoli and it's certainly refreshing these days to find the more conventional vegetables on offer. The quality of the food is always excellent. If you're in town, it's worth the extra walk, or if you're on the bus, it's right opposite the station.

Food was brought out at decent intervals and not too quickly.
Food was delicious and good portions.
Our 4th visit. And each visit we found to be consistent in service and food.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner at this good Italian restaurant close to the station in Chelmsford this Saturday evening. The service was great the food delicious and the wine complimented it perfectly, a top night we'll be repeating soon.

Went as a group of 4. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. The scollop pasta dish I chose was tasteless but my friends enjoyed there meaty dishes. The menu is a bit too stacked with options in my opinion but this will obviously suite other people. Overall we collectively had a nice time.

I have been to ll Palazzo before a few times and each time the food gets better every time I'm there and the service is fantastic they are welcoming and very helpful. We brought a family member from South Africa and she was very impressed with everything.

It was a nice visit, we live locally, no reservation and we we're accommodated. Food was good but the dessert wasn't homemade. I had the cheesecake and unfortunately it was store bought (maybe tesco opposite?) just take it off the menu because it's cheap and tasteless! Otherwise it was good but the desert ruined an otherwise nice meal

We were greeted with a warm and friendly smile. We were made to feel welcome. We were not rushed. Nothing was too much.

Great food, it was quiet when we went (early meal with kids) so atmosphere wasn't up to much, but staff were really friendly and helpful!
