weve been meaning to try here for a while..and finally visited on a wet fri afternoon...they had just opened but there was still a lovely atmosphere.. within ten mins or so more people were coming in... good choice on the menu and specials.
nice friendly welcome with good service..good food and good value... this was a quick visit for us but was lovely..

Food is simple Italian done well
Lasagner just come on it own would recommend putting at least a garnish on it to cut thought the richness.
Brushetta was lovely just needed a balsamic dip.
Great price for what you get beats the chains hand down for quality.
Would go again.

A more extensive menu, especially with the meat and fish dishes. These come with sautéed potatoes, carrots and broccoli and it's certainly refreshing these days to find the more conventional vegetables on offer. The quality of the food is always excellent. If you're in town, it's worth the extra walk, or if you're on the bus, it's right opposite the station.

Staff were polite, cheerful and attentive, but not overbearing.
Food was brought out at decent intervals and not too quickly.
Food was delicious and good portions.
Our 4th visit. And each visit we found to be consistent in service and food.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner at this good Italian restaurant close to the station in Chelmsford this Saturday evening. The service was great the food delicious and the wine complimented it perfectly, a top night we'll be repeating soon.

Went as a group of 4. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. The scollop pasta dish I chose was tasteless but my friends enjoyed there meaty dishes. The menu is a bit too stacked with options in my opinion but this will obviously suite other people. Overall we collectively had a nice time.

I have been to ll Palazzo before a few times and each time the food gets better every time I'm there and the service is fantastic they are welcoming and very helpful. We brought a family member from South Africa and she was very impressed with everything.

It was a nice visit, we live locally, no reservation and we we're accommodated. Food was good but the dessert wasn't homemade. I had the cheesecake and unfortunately it was store bought (maybe tesco opposite?) just take it off the menu because it's cheap and tasteless! Otherwise it was good but the desert ruined an otherwise nice meal

Great food, it was quiet when we went (early meal with kids) so atmosphere wasn't up to much, but staff were really friendly and helpful!

It was very busy, luckily we had booked. Steak superb, cheeses excellent. Chilli prawns and scallops. Minestrone soup. Slight variation on our previous choices but equally as delicious. Really reasonable in price must also add. Very professional but friendly. An extremely enjoyable night.

Visited here for dinner with family on Saturday night, staff were friendly, food was hot and portion sizes just right. The crab linguine was a bit spicy for me, but an offer was made without asking for another to be made with less chilli, that was a nice touch.
Nice atmosphere, staff gave a very good level of service but not intrusive, we had the table for the whole evening. Great company, great evening. Visited before and will visit again.

I went for dinner a lot of time, and I will continue to go!I am italian and I tried the pizza, the only one that I want to eat in uk!I tried some kind of pasta and was really good! Another reason to go to eat here is the personal, really friendly and lovely! Very satisfied!

First time visit to this restaurant and it most definitely deserves its reviews. Perfect from start to finish, wonderful friendly staff. Food was exceptional, really tasted like home cooking. Everyone in our party of 5 agreed, from starters through to desserts everything was amazing. Will absolutely be back. What a gem
