Yummy is not the word, not only did we have gorgeous scrumptious fish and chips a la Bolton, food was piping hot plates were hot, - clean everywhere you could see - waiters took your coats and hung them up, and helped you on with them when leaving, polite, helpful, and food was out quick as a flash too xxxx

We have visited the Olympic Restaurant for lunch on several occasions.Sometimes you have to wait in a short queue as its so popular with shoppers and oap's.
The menu is varied and includes,fish,scampi,steak puddings,pies and sausages etc .
Service is first class and always quick .
The Menu is great value for money and the atmosphere is excellent .
The owners and managers always go out of their way to welcome you .

Not been for a while but went back with my kids for an after work tea time treat. Staff were lovely, very friendly, nice with my little ones, good was exactly what you would want, good quality, served quickly, reasonably priced. Kids loved it, we will be back sooner rather than later next time!

Was taken to the restaurant as part of a 1940s weekend with National Holidays. Didnt know what to expect but was totally suprised with lovely food and brilliant entertainment. The effort shown by the staff shone through - the drinks couldnt have been brought quicker to the tables and the staff getting involved with the dancing and fun it was a brilliant evening!

We went to this restaurant on Bank Holiday weekend, been many times,the food is first class,the staff are brilliant,nothing is too much trouble. The added bonus this time was the fact that they had dressed the dining area into a scene from World War 1 and 2. The staff dressed in uniforms,as soldiers,officers and even land girls.There were small parties of very elderly people,a live band who where playing and singing 40's music. Every one was joining in ,the staff where dancing with the customers and the atmosphere was electric. What a lunch,what a place and what kind staff.

Booked lunch for mum's special birthday. Staff were very pleasant, polite & helpful. Fish & Chip lunch was delicious & great value for money. Restaurant is beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean. Service was excellent & mum was overwhelmed with kindness of staff. The owner came over & made a fuss of her, before using his mobile to start the piano playing 'Happy Birthday' to which the staff sang. Having 'fish & chips' a food she really enjoys was only meant to play a small part of her birthday celebration but instead had a significant impact on how much she enjoyed her special day. We would all definitely recommend the restaurant & say they were the best 'fish & chips' by far, served by genuinely, lovely staff.

When you visit Olympus Fish and Chip Restaurant you sometimes have to pinch yourself to remind yourself that this is a chippy.
From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you are treated like a valued customer, with a greeter finding you a table, taking your coat, offering you a seat and giving you a shoulder massage (I joke about the shoulder massage, but it makes the point about the level of service).
You have to go to the counter to place your order and pay there prior to the meal being served.
The quality of the food is excellent. Really good quality fish and chips, or chips and pudding (or any other combination of chip shop cuisine).
Well worth a visit if you're in a 'chippy' mood.

Went here yesterday 8/4/13, with my hubby and 5 year old son. We have been here before, but not for a while. Food was excellent as always; fish very very fresh and proper "chippy" chips that were delicious. All cooked fresh and you don't mind waiting a few minutes for this food. Tartare sauce, the best ever. Everywhere spotless, as always, tables cleared as quickly as possible. The pianist was playing, adding a beautiful atmosphere to the restaurant. Staff were great with all customers, from young 'uns to "more mature" customers. Would defintely return here.

The best fish and chip restaurant in Bolton. Large tasty cod, proper thick chips and delicious mushy peas. What more can you ask for? Well although the cost is a little on the pricey side the super efficient service kinda over comes this. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice restaurant it is clean and nicely set out and the new orangery has been done really nicely, the staff are always so friendly and helpful and nothing is to much trouble. The food is great hot and plenty of it, have been many times and always enjoyed my meal.

I always look forward to shopping in Bolton and visiting quite possibly the best fish and chip restaurant I have ever been to. The atmosphere is lovely, often with a piano playing in the background. The restaurant is clean, the service excellent and the food is superb, really good value. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We have eaten at the Olympus for many years both for breakfast and lunch, and have found the food, service and surroundings to be second to none. The staff couldn't be more polite and helpful. The fish and chips are excellent, and there is plenty of choice for anyone not wanting fish. Not to be missed if you are in Bolton!

Quality fish and chips at a reasonable and fair price. Good selection of fish to choose from and the portions are quite generous. For non fish lovers there is plenty of choice of standard British fare plus the well recommended 'Mousaka'.
