I stayed here for one night whilst on business nearby. Whilst not ultra modern I was very pleased with the whole experience.
Checking in was quick and efficient, the room I had was of a good size, comfortable and more than adequate. The hotel was quiet and sleep quality good. The WiFi was good and there was plenty of space to sit and work in the bar area which is important to me. I had dinner in the bar. Just a burger but it was more than adequate as was breakfast.
There is a pool and gym but I did not use either.
Due to location if you do want to go out you would need a car.

I stayed for a single night prior to a business meeting. Checking in was quick and efficient. The room was big and very comfortable. I had a great nights sleep. They do offer room service but I didn’t use it. The WiFi was strong enough to support video streaming and a Skype video call, so great for the business traveller. The decor is a little 80’s, but I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this hotel.

Had an amazing time at my son and daughter in laws wedding. Was well organised, the wedding meal was delicious as was the evening buffet. All staff were professional, friendly kind and went over and above to ensure a smooth and enjoyable day. Wedding planner Marie did and excellent job as did the Maître d. Highly Reccommend this hotel.

Slept well in a clean, comfortable but slightly shabby room. Food and service pretty average in a bland, uninspiring dining room. Thought over £10 for a double vodka and tonic was a bit steep. The only real positive was phoning for a copy of my full bill that they forgot to give me,which arrived very promptly.

We arrived a good hour before the 2pm check-in but it was no problem and the room was already, no additional charge. our room was on the 2nd floor with a nice view of the hills. The room and bathroom are a good size and although showing a little wear & tear everything worked fine.
Had a drink in the bar before we went out on a Saturday which is a little expensive at over a tenner for a medium wine and a bottle of bud.
Had a good sleep here, big comfy bed and very quiet. Used the pool, jacuzzi & sauna in the morning which are spot on!
The breakfast was OK and had a relaxed 11am finish on a Sunday, although relatively qiuet some cooked items would run out so it meant waiting. Overall the hotel is fine at around 90 quid for a double room with breakfast

We have family in the area and so regularly stay in hotels in the local area; usually the cheapest reasonable hotel on TripAdvisor and so I have stayed here on a number of occasions but only when it is the cheapest deal and that about sums up the hotel, there is nothing that really makes the place stand out. That said, the staff here seem to be more helpful and friendly than other hotels (I am thinking the two Premier Inns and Whites). Food in the bar was disappointing and I would suggest jumping in your car and driving to any number of quality eating places. I will undoubtably stay here again but only when it is cheap than the others.

Friendly helpful staff, as other people have mentioned areas of the hotel look tired and carpets worn places needing a lick of paint. Bedroom and bed linen clean enough, bathroom think the cleaner was only used to cleaning a lighthouse as corners where grubby. For the price couldn't grumble as it was conveniently placed for what we wanted. Some reviews would definitely put people off but if staying 1 or 2 nights its okay.

We booked the upgraded double which was a nice size room. The room wasn't perfect as there were a few cobwebs and cracked paint on the ceilings and walls. The mattress and pillows were not great quality which resulted in a poor night's sleep for us both. We were meant to get a newspaper in the morning but it wasn't there when we went to check at 8.30am. I mentioned this at reception and was told that it was likely that someone picked it up when walking past the room. We did however enjoy the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and I also received a very good facial and massage from Karen in their spa. Breakfast was very good with a lot to choose from however it was a little overpriced at £11 per head. Overall we had a nice stay and as we live not too far away we will definitely be back to use there spa services.

Spent one night for business. The WiFi is pretty weak. If you have to log into a remote server (which i did) it's very slow and crashed a few times. The rooms and bathrooms are basic and need updating, but clean and well maintained. The bed was comfy and had a good nights sleep. The breakfast was basic - a little too basic.

Stayed here as part of a coach trip when seeing a musical in Salford. On arrival the check in was swift and the room was fine, quite small but clean. The bar area is sterile and reminiscent of a school cafeteria: not particularly inviting or comfortable.
The costs of drinks is really excessive; 2 glasses of wine around £18: I would not be averse to paying this if the bar was a nice area to sit in but it’s not. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere’s so taxis would be required to visit other bars in the area.

We didn’t stay here but came for tea at the sports bar they have here and we were not disappointed.We didn’t have to book as it was pretty quite the lady behind the bar Irene was lovely she gave us a menu and took our drink order she was very chatty and told us we could sit anywhere,we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala with rice naan bread and mini poppadums,and Fish and chips and mushy peas everything was delicious,sticky toffee pudding for dessert.with drinks was reasonably priced.Irene the waitress was outstanding nothing was too much trouble would definitely come again enjoyed it.

Stayed at this hotel as a surprise from partner and it what a lovely surprise it was. Walked in to book in and the reception staff were extremely helpful, we went to our room, and again a lovely surprise, big room, four poster bed, just lovely. We went to the bar and had a meal there, which was very tasty.
I couldn’t actually say there was a bad bit about the whole stay. Would highly recommend this hotel

Excellent party atmosphere meal very good but we expected a choice of sweet Quiet a few of our party of 12 didn't like chocolate as the sweet consisted of just chocolate this was left by most people We would suggest a choice of sweet maybe j u st 2 to choose from or a sweet trolley/buffet This was the only disappointment to a lovely evening

I've stayed here lots of times over the years, whenever I visit my mum. I used to rate it quite highly based on price versus value.
However, over the years it has had little investment and therefore now I don't feel it deserves a high rating.
On the posotve side the FOH service is always great, and the rooms are clean so the BOH staff must be okay too. Seems th management is okay but lacks investment.
On the negative side:
Mattresses are now very old and spongy so when one person moves so does the other.
They now seem to put rubber backed nattress protectors on all beds, something low budget hotels do. This drives me absolutely crazy, just creates unnecassary noise and heat. I always check and take these off!
The bathroom showers are powerful and strong but the decor is old and dated, even in the premium rooms.
The curtains have always been a bug bear of mine. Black-out lined but stand proud of the windows so a halo effect from the 24/7 car park lighting lets in lots of light.

Used this hotel while working in the area comfortable beds powerful shower and must admit nice hot room while was cold outside the heating was spot on.breakfast was serve yourself overall not bad stay

Wanted to stay the night in preparation for my wedding next year. Rooms nice and big. Breakfast was nice. Pool and facilities were excellent. Drinks a bit pricey but you expect that in any hotel. Reading some of the reviews think they must be used to staying at 5 star places, very nice for what the hotel is advertised as. Unfortunate alarm in the night but at least you know there is a process in place.

Standard hotel nothing to note particularly special. Very thin door so hope you don't get a load of kids stay at the same time like I did. They were making a lot of noise in the hallway. Other than that the room was clean and tidy. From other collegues rooms can be a bit hit or miss on how modern the decor is. For me the bathroom was a bit dated.

Attended a training session here. Ample parking, hotel staff are pleasant. Had slight issue with air conditioning in the suite. Luckily I brought sandwiches as There aren't any shops nearby to grab lunch & my colleagues mentioned food was very expensive at the hotel bar. The venue did provide lovely coffee & biscuits

Stayed here for two nights for my daughter's wedding, excellent reception staff, friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast.

Rooms could do with being modernised but on the whole clean and tidy. Evening meal and breakfast were lovely with plenty of choice. In the main hotel bar the choice of cocktail was very limited which was a bit disappointing but did not spoil our stay.

My friend and I stayed here as part of a mini break so we had no choice. Having said that I could not find a fault anywhere. Comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff and lovely food especially considering they were catering 'en masse'. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Xmas day lunch with family. A lovely afternoon. A very mixed age range, and a visit from Santa.
Food ok however the main course was only lukewarm .needed to be hotter. The atmosphere was a little lacking. Some festive music playing would have solved this hence only 3 stars .

Came as part of a bus trip to Coronation Street. Food really nice, staff efficient, friendly and helpful. Room comfy and clean, a bit too warm so I turned down the radiator valve. No complaints.

Room was ok... but the food on the evening was lacking either it was cold or it had ran out and we had to wait for them to re stock the buffet 10 mins wait for the fish. Felt sorry for the young waiting staff having to deal with the disgruntled customers.
