We recently had our Daughters 18th at the Rivington suite, the venue was perfect, Rochelle the event organiser was brilliant, she organised everything and put us in touch with venue dressers etc. I would recommend the venue and the support from Rochelle was amazing.

Small gym but everything you need including a studio.
Small pool ideal for young children as well as a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
Always warm in and around the pool.
A little dated but friendly staff and always clean.

Uncle Albert likes to talk about the war .

I dine in this hotel quite regularly and get great service...the staff are very friendly and pleasant and the food is very good. The location is only minutes from the M61 and overlooks Rivington Pike.

Our team had our Christmas Party 1920's theme at Mercure Georgian House and it was a brilliant night. The food was lovely & hot, we had pre-ordered drinks that were all there ready. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the music was great, we danced all night. Highly recommend for a team party and we will be back next year.

I've only given 3 stars as the hotel itself could do with a refresh and it was cold in some of the communal areas. We were able to overlook this though as it was clean and the service we received was exceptional and for that they'd get 5 stars. Every team member we encountered was keen to ensure we were well taken care of. Sheila and Bruna in reception and Olga, Lydia and Nadine in the breakfast room were all very friendly and helpful. Irene though was the stand out staff member and during the two dinners we had there she did all she could to make sure we enjoyed our meal and were happy and comfortable. She's a real credit to the hotel. Every hotel could do with having an Irene as a staff member.

My family and I have enjoyed all of our stays at the Mercure Bolton Georgian House Hotel and we are pleased with the very comfortable and warm rooms with delightful views over Winter Hill and the West Pennine Moors. The heated indoor swimming pool in the hotel is fantastic and a really great facility to use when staying at the hotel.

The hotels Brasserie restaurant is excellent and a very pleasant and relaxing venue to dine. We would particularly like to thank a member of staff called Irene who served my family and I and who provided a truly exceptional customer service. Irene kindly organised for my family and I to sit in a private seating area due to Christmas parties taking place in the main restaurant. Irene was friendly and professional and set up a superb dining table for us and made sure that we were all happy with our food and ensured that we received the best service possible. Irene provided us all with a memorable dining experience and we really enjoyed the very efficient service and delicious food.

We highly recommend this excellent hotel, and the superb service that we received from the member of staff called Irene.

Large room. Spotlessly clean. Excellent customer service throughout the hotel. Great value and lovely breakfast. Only gripe would be to have a blackout blind as my room was overlooking car park which is well lit so bright light came through curtains and lit my room.

A friendly reception from Alexis & earlier help over the phone from Bruna meant a good start to our early December stay - toasty warm room on ground floor was just right for mobility needs.

Irene and her team (Matthew and Aisha) made sure we were looked after superbly at supper with excellent hot food.
Thank you!
We’ll be back.

We were lucky enough to stay in this hotel whilst on a coach trip. Lovely big clean rooms and the most comfy bed. Breakfast choice was very good and plentiful. Staff very efficient and attentive. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We booked into the Georgian House for 3 nights as we were celebrating a relative's 40th wedding anniversary. Really pleased we chose this hotel, as it isn't often you find such a good hotel which accepts dogs. The staff were wonderful and very helpful, the food was great and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. When next up in that area, we will definitely book here again. Had a lovely stay, with a very nice, roomy bedroom and en suite.

Love this place. The rooms are big and comfortable and the hotel has great facilities such as a pool and gym but better than that the staff are fabulous. You receive a warm welcome at reception and Irene will serve you drink with a smile at the bar. I recommend the breakfast with a large choice of hot and cold foods, my compliments to the chef and if your lucky you might get Julie or Shelley to serve you. A wonderful place and staff.

Nice attentive staff , my only gripe was the drink prices £10 for a double whiskey , don’t get me wrong the venue was spot on , we had a great time , the layout was spot on and fun and frolics were had by all , we did have drinkies in nearby bars , but they weren’t £10 a double

I came in for a swim today with my two young children. We stopped for dinner in the bar and we were served by Irene. I have been absolutely blown away by her kindness and the level of service we received. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and she was so accommodating with the children. She was friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had a lovely experience. My children adored her. My son had fish and chips from the Children’s’ menu and said it was the best fish he’d ever had. High praise from a very fussy eater!
Thank you Irene for being so welcoming, we can’t wait to come again!

half way through my tour of travelling the world with my friend Hasbulla, we decided to stop off at the mercure georgian house and we were pleasantly greeted by Server, Jack. Very handsome young man!! Hasbulla became wrestless half way through the meal and would often punch jack as he would pass by and jack dealt with him in a very calm manner. Well done to jack and thank you for being so calm. Many thanks

Location: Decent, easy to find and with a whole load of parking on site. The view from some of the rooms is stunning.
Check In: Efficient and welcoming although the pre-authorisation of Room+£30 wasnt communicated. In fact no numbers were discussed at thtat point which didnt cross my mind until i saw it on my banking App!
Room: We had a room on the 2nd floor, in the 700's. It was nice, big, small bath so dont think about it if you're bigger than a size 14! There wasnt any air con so it was pretty warm, and no fans either.
Bar: The service was slow, like really slow. 1 drink at a time maximum so there was a fair bit of good old british signing by other guests waiting to be served. It was also really expensive.
Event venue: We were here for a party, its like a maze but we found our way round.
Breakfast: The breakfast was good. Hot food was very good but the continental breakfast food was stale and rock hard.
It was £89 for room only on booking.com, so had to pay extra £10pp for breakfast.
We were supposed to get a morning newspaper with the room, didnt get asked which one we wanted and didnt realise until we left.
