Fantastic stay as usual.
We travel up from South Wales regularly and we're are always greeted with a warm welcome on arrival by the staff.
The lounge/bar is a great place to chill and the bar staff are great too. Irene in particular is lovely - always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
Really look forward to our next stay..

I have a gym membership at the feelgood gym. After the gym I enjoy a coffee in the bar. Irene welcomes you like you like you're part of the family. She goes above and beyond in meeting your needs. The hotel are extremely lucky to have her representing them.

Had a nice swimming afternoon with a friend here the pool and staff where spot on and not too many in then we had lunch in the cafe bar and served by a lovely lady called Irene who couldn’t do enough for us overall very nice atmosphere and nice food we will definitely go again x

Very nice and relaxing hotel. Even although it’s on a main road it’s well hidden and peaceful Rooms are nice and spacious. Irene who was running the bar was really helpful and very welcoming. Would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful old building use off all facilities and haseeb on bar was lovely nothing was to much from him. Reception staff helpful clean and comfortable well worth the money overall a great hotel and great stay

I had read a few reviews about this hotel and i was a bit sceptical but i had no issues at all with this hotel. We had a really nice, large room with robes and slippers etc.

I have been holding conferences here recently and have been made to feel very welcome by the team especially Marmite (Julie). The rooms are a good size and the staff endeavour to meet your every need.

The pool is nice and warm, rooms are very comfortable. The gym is good and the bar has lots of options. They have really friendly staff! Irene went above and beyond our expectations, such a lovely woman! Will be back again soon!

Stay at this hotel regularly for work, the staff are always pleasant. Unfortunately it suffers from chronic under investment and defects have been patched over. It could now do with complete refurb.

A pleasant surprise! Not only was the venue superb, the staff were very accommodating.
I would truly recommend staying here and joining the bar staff for a fantastic meal and a cold beer. The facilities such as the swimming pool and sauna are worth a visit also.

I stayed at mercure georgian house for 2 months Jan Feb 2023 and my stay was made loverly by manager Jimmy who took me under his wing and went above and beyond fir me. Also irene who works in sports bar was amazing. I was made welcome and my stay was perfect from start to end. Was made very welcome and my room was cleaned regular by tracy. Guna miss you guys but want to say thankyou from the bottom of my heart.

Extremely courteous staff, nothing was too much trouble for our large group. We participated in the murder mystery night where the meal was first class and the entertainment made a very welcome change to just going out for a meal and a drink. Room spotlessly clean and nice and warm. Really enjoyed our stay.

We just returned from this fabulous hotel after a friends 40th birthday party here for a murder mystery eveing run by murder 57.. From start to finish all staff at the hotel were brilliant and friendly.. great check on, fab bar staff. The meal and entertainment on the evening were amazing. Lovely 3 course meal and then great breakfast. Jimmy and the team looked after all 14 of us really well and nothing was too much trouble. Extra decorations and even a few bottles of bubbly thrown in. Great atmosphere would definitely return again! Thanks for a memorable party stay x

A business is a reflection of the management and as such I would suggest this hotel’s management team are excellent. Despite the hotel being a little tired the service front of house is exceptional.

Another lovely stay as usual, leisure club is looking abit tired now an there was a problem with the jacuzzi but nothing major, and it's always good to see Irene who goes above an beyond to cater for your needs a wonderful lady who I've known for nearly 30 year's from when I did my chef training, she's never changed and a true legend, see you again in June for my birthday weekend

My time here was really enjoyable. I was made to feel welcome from when I first walked through the door. The staff are extremely friendly, polite and helpful. I would also highly recommend the food, they have a wide variety of different choice from the menu. I tried many different things over my week stay and was all extremely tasty. Would recommend anyone to use the hotel for business or pleasure.

After a week of training at mercure I cannot fault the service received from katie and marmite (aka julie) not only have they helped to ensure the expectations of the company are met the customer service has gone above and beyond both supporting any dietary requirements and helping to brighten our day every day.

I came here for business training and was greeted by lovely staff which one goes by the name "marmite" not sure why. I guess you either love or hate her....another lovely member of staff called Katie they brought all the stuff we needed to the room. Snacks drinks etc. Spoke to the head chef who gave me advice as I didn't know you could order a house salad. Overall pleased with my experience here.

Excellent hotel with great conference/training facilities. Great location close to motorways. Friendly staff (Julie) who kept us refreshed daily with drinks/snacks. Great choice of food available at the hotel. Plenty of parking too.
