Had our wedding reception here. Fantastic, great staff, we were well looked after from the start. Gorgeous gluten free buffet platter made for us and wonderful breakfast next morning. Some overnight guests said the rooms were too warm.

Lovely 1 night stay, staff were great, visited the leisure club, and although dated, the pool was great, gym more than adequate and bigger than expected with a variety of classes on offer in the studio area. Leisure manager and his team spot on, and great customer service.

Had our wedding here 6th May was amazing rochelle was so helpfull and on hand at all times answering any questions and helping me organise everything , the whole day was amazing staff were very helpful especially Jimmy he's a diamond continually askin threw out our day if everything was OK and if we needed anything, anything we did ask he was promp in helping us the day just went so fast and really wish we could do it all again so glad we chose here for our wedding will defo be recommended so thanks again everyone for making our day amazing

Hotel is adequate, rooms are clean and gym is handy! WiFi needs improving but the 4-star rating is for the staff who make the place what it is! From somebody who has worked in hospitality previously Katie, Irene, James K & Jimmy are absolutely golden and deserve appreciation for the work they do for all guests!

We very recently celebrated our wedding reception here & we have nothing but wonderful things to say! Rochelle, Chris & the team are amazing! Nothing was too much hassle, Rochelle was always on hand answering my questions and calming my nerves! The food was outstanding (so many of our guests complimented the food), the bar staff are so friendly (a special shout-out to Irene who always made our visits special).
As I found out, there’s always last minute changes to food/ guest lists but Rochelle and her team took it in their stride and made the whole experience stress free for myself and now husband!
Our package included a DJ, Clint was wonderful, he played all our requests, was humorous and all round excellent!
The bedrooms where clean, comfortable and very accommodating to our guests who had family rooms
I could go on and on saying wonderful things, it was truly the happiest day of our lives and again I cannot thank Rochelle, Chris and the team enough xx

Parking is easy and free. We only used the swimming bath, not the hotel itself.
Decent charge for using the facilities, not to expensive. Was £16 for 1 adult and 2 kids.
The water was clean and unlike a public swimming baths, it was quiet! Thier were only 5 people in total there, but that number increased to 10 towards the end of the session.
The changing rooms were clean, no key or token required for using the lockers. (This does pose an issue if you have any phones with you, I would suggest taking a bag with you into the swimming pool and putting safely there).
The pool has a hot tub at the side, it is an 18+ only though.
Showers were clean and incredibly hot water! 🔥 Care taken as it was very hot, I had to use my shower bottle to turn the cold water on faster.
Overall nice experience, would go again for sure.

Just held my daughter (and new son-in-laws) wedding Reception here this weekend and it was the most beautiful celebration ever. Rochelle and her team were amazing - they were attentive to every detail. The food was great throughout the day (and as a lot of us stayed over - breakfast too). Rooms were comfy, clean.
We all would highly recommend this venue for any occasion Thank you and well done to all x

Lovely room. Bed was comfortable and the room faced the rear parking lot so was very quiet. The food was good but the menu options were limited. The service was very slow. The hotel is child and dog friendly.

We organize antique medal & militaria fairs four times per year at the Mercure Georgian House Hotel at Blackrod, Bolton.
We find the hotel and its staff a joy to deal with! From Chris's night team who layout exhibition space in the early hours of the morning to Rochelle & Tracy who deal with the administration.... nothing is too much trouble.
The bedrooms are spotlessly clean & comfortable & the food is excellent ..in particular the full English breakfast!

I have been staying here three nights a week since June 2022. I work at a local company, I need somewhere clean, comfortable and quiet to stay.......this hotel ticks all the boxes.

We called into the bar this morning for coffee after a walk with our grandson. Irene, the lady behind the bar was wonderful, very polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, she is definitely an asset to the hotel. We will definitely be returning for lunch very soon.

Visit the hotel regularly for swimming lessons with my children.

Went for breakfast in the bar and brasserie and had the most amazing service from the waitress Irene she really made the experience special for myself and little 3 year girl she really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and entertained my little girl. It was probably the best service I’d ever experience I really can’t praise her enough, I will most definitely be coming back 10/10

Came here for a night away with the girls. Had an amazing time and the staff that the hotel had on over the 2 days we were there couldn’t do enough for any of us. The rooms are prefect, so open and airy! We will definitely be returning as we enjoyed every minute!

What a place.. called in at the weekend and the team were so helpful. We took the kids swimming then ate in the lounge bar. Beer and food both reasonable. Will definitely be visiting the hotel again.

Amazing staff and a great stay. Would absolutely recommend this hotel. Been here before and what a difference I will be returning to the hotel when I am next in the Bolton area. Special shout out to the bar staff and reception.

We where going to a family wedding and had originally booked another hotel but was unsuitable for my elderly mum so last minute we went here the staff where very accommodating especially alexis on reception and jimmy the manager both made us feel very welcome

The staff were fantastic as we had organised a family gathering and a buffet for a reunion with relatives. The rooms were great and breakfast was really good. The hotel was also conveniently located close to Rivington Pike where we had arranged a visit.

Stayed 1 night Easter Sunday.
Perfect location minutes drive from the motorway with great connections for the north west and lovely views overlooking the Lancashire countryside in the distance.
Privilege room (769) was spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable and offering excellent toiletries. We had a great night sleep.
Ate dinner in the bar which was superb. A great menu with an extensive choice, portions so good we could not manage a dessert! A nice relaxing ambience = a lovely evening.
Breakfast excellent, very good choice with eggs cooked to order. Great tasty produce. I stay in a lot of hotels & this was a breakfast standout. Fantastic breakfast staff.
Staff superb throughout the hotel and could not do enough for their guests.
A very good well ran sold 3*
