Me and my now wife had our wedding here last Wednesday 29th March
We had to find a venue and organize a wedding within 7 weeks due to a family illness
We searched venues went and viewed a few but the difference was when we went to view the Bolton Mecure hotel
Rochelle the wedding coordinator made us feel so welcoming and put our mind at ease straight away and made us feel more certain that we could achieve what we wanted in such a short space of time
Throughout the whole process and organizing Rochelle bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect and took alot of stress away from us kept us up to date and checked in regular
She just made a huge difference to how we prepared for the wedding and that alone was such a relief to have someone in charge of the most important day of your life but not just because it's a job but because it is a passion for her and you can clearly see that.
The day finally came and a few problems popped up due to no fault of the hotel but once again Rochelle was there to sort it all out without me or my wife knowing we were only made aware by a couple of guests the next day so again just to take this stress away from us on the day and not let things spoil the process of getting ready ect I can't praise her enough we feel like we have gained a friend along the way which to me is quite special
The whole team on the day from the ceremony through to the reception at night were just faultless
Jimmy was in charge of looking after us and the guests and by God he did everyone commented on just how fabulous he was
one of the most genuine caring funny guys you will meet we even made a point of going back yesterday to thank everyone and buy Jimmy a pint and the comments and the welcoming we got was quite overwhelming
The rooms were perfect spacious clean warm the breakfast was spot on fresh tasty
I cannot recommend this hotel enough but it can only be as great as it because of the staff /team they have and every single one had a smile on their face and nothing was too much trouble
We will be making a point of going back to enjoy the many themed nights they have and a cheeky stay as it really does feel like a home from home
So thank you from the bottom of our hearts from me and Rachel for making our day even better than we could ever have anticipated

Great location and hotel, very warm welcome from David Longcake the GM and reception staff who took their time to talk to us, who aim to make your stay a memorable one, Signed me up to be an Accor member (free drink for doing so) build up points for free stays (so thank you for advising me on this) Room and general areas kept clean, seen housekeeping tending to all areas not just bedrooms, bar staff a giggle, went for a dip in the pool which was nice and stuffed myself at breakfast, plenty of choice and nothing was to much trouble from the staff who give off a family environment between them all". A home from home feel" thanks again and we will deffo visit again :-)

Visited for afternoon tea - staff especially Irene were outstanding but the afternoon tea was a bit underwhelming - 9 small finger sandwiches for 2 people - odd number ! Only 1 pot of jam and not clotted cream but canned!
Not really good value for the price but the environment and the staff made up for it

I booked the Mercure Bolton Georgian House Hotel for our annual Dinner Dance, celebrating the birthday of Scout Founder Lord Robert Baden-Powel. From our first enquiry and meeting with events co-ordinator Rochelle, through to the event itself, the food, the rooms and the whole service package, we could not have asked for better. The staff looked to our every need, even providing a Disc Jockey who could comfortably accommodate the wide variety of music tastes from an age range of 20 years to 80+ years. Nothing was too much trouble and even the late arrival of some guests didn't ruffle the feathers of a brilliant hospitality crew. Thank you to Rochelle and all of her team from cleaners to MD.

Had a fantastic afternoon tea at The Mecure in Blackrod, Boston. The food was super, plenty of it, as much tea and water that we wanted and our lovely server, who was so attentive and engaging. Nice warm ambience too. Highly recommend this lovely treat. You won't be disappointed

I attended Horwich RMI Harriers presentation night at Georgian House on Friday 24th March. It turned out to be a great evening enjoyed by everyone - children and parents alike. The room was well set up and the food was excellent. I would particularly like to mention Chris the host from the hotel who kept a watchful eye on the proceedings and could not have been more supportive and helpful to the organisers of the event as well as those attending.

Came down to the hotel for the first time today as I had seen online that they were changing their wedding themes and I must say I was blown away!! Who would have known that this hotel could look like it did we met with Rochelle the weddings and events manager, she was so nice and had lots of ideas about what we could do. I fell in love with the twilight theme downstairs I was not expecting it to look like that at all!!!

I stayed here with my 4 sisters it was a weekend away after so many years of not seeing them we picked this hotel because it was closer to us and we have never stayed here before. it was the best experience and we had the best time, as soon as we walked in meeting the receptionist that checked us into our rooms. all 3 receptionist were nice and lovely who helped and gave us ideas on what we could do while we was staying there.

the 2 young girls who was serving food during the day Asha and Aisha were amazing they helped us with ordering food and also bringing room service to us multiple times.

We was out mainly at night time in the bar area and also had a great pleasure of meeting the night workers Lee Ramzan and Mick who looked after us the whole weekend making us coffees drinks and snacks.

I would also like to say that the managers that i had pleasure of meeting was, Zowie Chris and Jimmy who went above and beyond for us to make sure we was having a good weekend away.

also the rooms were nice and clean so thank you to the house keeping team. A young lady called Tasha who went out of her way to make a late check out for us regardless of
how busy and last minute it was she still managed to let us stay so a big thanks to her.

we will definitely be coming back again.

Thank you.

I treated my mum to afternoon tea, and was welcomed by Julie and looked after excellently by Karen. The food and drink supplied was very good, and the setting & background music made the afternoon a pleasant trip out.

Thanks to the Mercure and the attentiveness of Karen during our visit.

Thanks

Great hotel! We were well looked after by the loveliest woman, Irene. Nothing was too much trouble. As i worked in the bar on the Friday she kept me well fed and hydrated :-)
In the morning the breakfast was brilliant and Irene was there to keep me topped up with coffee in order to get through my hangover.
Its a great place made even better by people like Irene.
