Lovely hotel with the kindest and most helpful staff I have ever come across in all my hotel stays over the years. Irene looked after us and was such a lovely lady, nothing was too much for her. Will definitely stay here again. Brilliant staff, thank you for your hospitality.

Such a lovely welcome at reception to us and our 2 schnauzers. We stopped in the bar to share a few light bites and a drink and were served by the lovely Irene who couldn’t have been any more, polite, friendly, professional and attentive. Would highly recommend stopping in the bar. The food was lovely and Irene made us feel very welcome. 5 stars!

Comfortable stay whilst visiting friends in the area, the staff are friendly and welcoming, our room was spotless with a comfortable bed and peaceful night sleep. Breakfast was delicious thanks x

Had afternoon tea here with my sister, it was very nice, the lady that served us Irene was so attentive she was lovely, the cakes were delicious, had a very pleasant experience, thank you Irene

Great cozy hotel, excellent for events. Katie was outstanding, we had a 50th birthday and the team was excellent, stress free for me, the guests were happy and we made great memories

We were at a kids party and Ryan was a true star. He catered to all our needs and nothing was touch trouble. Would highly recommend the venue. Thanks Ryan for making it a special day.

I would like to leave a review about the wee legend Irene Harper, although she has worked here decades 30 yrs im sure she said (it shows due to her commitment) to the clients.
I arrived and all she did was make sure I was looked after even when the barrel was out she didnt try and offer me anything else she was open and honest and said in 10 minutes the barrel will be changed which honesty is the best policy, I wouldn't of expected Irene to change the barrel BTW. but just watching her attend the bar, office and reception I honestly haven't seen a harder worker in a hotel, knowing what the patrons wanted without them asking
All I kept hearing was "Same again"
Being someone who spends their life in hotels, she is a credit to this hotel and need recognised for her professionalism and attention to detail but also making the patrons feel so welcome.
When her husband came to collect Irene i approached both and showed my appreciation of her perfection in her role she was overjoyed just to be recognised.
I said I would be leaving a review.
As I have never experienced a more professional person looking after the patrons for any hotel.
Seeing her husband beam with pride just made it all the better.
Irene in 3 hours you made me feel so welcome and thank you for that 💚

And when im back in the area for work il be booking this hotel again and all due to Irene and her professionalism x

Visit hotel a lot for business. Great staff, shout out in particular to Lydia on breakfast and Irene behind the bar. Can’t do enough to help you, always go the extra mile and are so welcoming. Thanks for all you do. Much appreciated.

Hotel was better than okay - clean, tidy, well-priced and food was decent. Staff were all absolutely superb though, which makes a works stay much better and meant us giving the venue an extra star or two. Me and my colleagues all agreed how good the staff were.
