I would like to leave a review about the wee legend Irene Harper, although she has worked here decades 30 yrs im sure she said (it shows due to her commitment) to the clients.
I arrived and all she did was make sure I was looked after even when the barrel was out she didnt try and offer me anything else she was open and honest and said in 10 minutes the barrel will be changed which honesty is the best policy, I wouldn't of expected Irene to change the barrel BTW. but just watching her attend the bar, office and reception I honestly haven't seen a harder worker in a hotel, knowing what the patrons wanted without them asking
All I kept hearing was "Same again"
Being someone who spends their life in hotels, she is a credit to this hotel and need recognised for her professionalism and attention to detail but also making the patrons feel so welcome.
When her husband came to collect Irene i approached both and showed my appreciation of her perfection in her role she was overjoyed just to be recognised.
I said I would be leaving a review.
As I have never experienced a more professional person looking after the patrons for any hotel.
Seeing her husband beam with pride just made it all the better.
Irene in 3 hours you made me feel so welcome and thank you for that 💚

Hotel was better than okay - clean, tidy, well-priced and food was decent. Staff were all absolutely superb though, which makes a works stay much better and meant us giving the venue an extra star or two. Me and my colleagues all agreed how good the staff were.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Was here for a work event at Bolton Arena and worked perfectly for us.
Went to the Bar/Restaurant for some food on the Saturday evening and Adam was a great bar man. Very polite, patient and entertaining!

Aanrader om het ontbijt erbij te nemen. We hebben iedere ochtend genoten van het ontbijt. Alles was tip top georganiseerd door de uiterst vriendelijke Lydia (Lydia bedankt).
We hadden eten besteld via een app voor bezorging op de kamer. Deze order was door een technische fout niet doorgekomen. We zijn echter alsnog na sluiten van de keuken heel goed geholpen door de receptioniste en bar dame (excuus ik heb hun namen niet meegekregen). En het eten was lekker.
Voor ons was het hotel gekozen als uitvalbasis om dagtrips naar liverpool en manchester te maken.

I arranged a surprise 40th birthday party for my wife and held it in the centre room. Katie was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Everything,
from planning to the actual party, was smooth and efficient. I got everything l had been promised and everything was to a good standard. The food was excellent and Katie ensured everyone was looked after and that they were having a good time.
I visited the hotel a few times on the lead up to get things sorted and Irene, behind the bar, was so helpful and looked after me well. She is a great credit to your team. Made me feel very welcome every time. Good service all round.

We recently had our wedding at this hotel and honestly could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Every single member of staff made us feel so special, and the whole day ran perfectly.
A huge thank you to our wedding planner Katie and her amazing team including ram who looked after us so well throughout the entire process and on the day itself. Katie went above and beyond to make sure everything was stress-free, organised, and exactly how we imagined it. Her attention to detail and calm support meant the world to us.
The venue itself was stunning, the food was fantastic, and all of our guests commented on how incredible the atmosphere was.
We also have to mention Alan the DJ, who absolutely made the evening reception unforgettable. The music was perfect all night, the dance floor was full from start to finish, and he created such an amazing atmosphere for everyone.

I visited the bar and Irene was so wonderfully hospitable ❤️, I am staying at the hotel whilst my home is being renovated and very often see Irene’s smiling face as I pass and she always says hello. This evening I stopped by for a glass of wine and treated with such hospitality, I’ll be back xx
