Rooms were cosy but nothing luxurious. We got a great deal direct through the website including a 1 night stay, 2 course meal, spa access & breakfast. The evening meal was amazing. Village was very cute. The location was a little disappointing as it has been surrounded by newbuikd houses, also the outdoor pool in the spa overlooked the car park.

It was a really unpleasant experience .
For two nights, I paid £281.70 for this .
I have sent several emails to the manager , Mike Evans , and have received nothing.
This was the weekend of 30th September!!!!
The room smelt, was so damp they had put the heating on full and opened the windows. The carpet was drenched around the wardrobe.
I have stayed here many times . It is going down hill fast, sadly.

Always have had a lovely stay and want to go back again and again. The Spa is lovely. Food was good quality and not over priced. Excellent WiFi. If there were any issues they were dealt with quickly. Decor lovely. Hard pillows

Great place to stay. No laundry bags, tissues, water, fridge in the room, but all else was good.

Beautiful hotel, spa was so relaxing and staff were so welcoming and friendly. Beautiful inside and out had a very grand feel to it. I also loved how there is a little village with miniature shops and a pub on site

Fabulous pit stop for a long journey North. Great pit stop for us with 2 dogs on the way up north. The kids loved the pool, and the staff couldn’t have been more lovely!

Booked in at the last minute for a business trip. Comfortable bed, good breakfast. My only quip is personal about the location, otherwise faultless.

Relaxing, comfy night. It’s a nice location and the facilities “Village spa” was really good. The property feels outdated to some 4 star hotels I have stayed in. The prices for a night is more than it should be due to the lack of modernising the rooms as there very basic and I wouldn’t say offers a 4 star experience.

Lovely place to stay when visiting Bolton. Definitely recommend it. Gorgeous hotel with wonderful surroundings and very nice staff. Size of the room was fantastic. Breakfast was missing some items according to the leaflet and beds weren't very well made and cleaning during the stay wasn't great, although when we arrived it was spotless.

A fabulous spa hotel, we booked several rooms for a small bridal party. The food is delicious and the service is realy great. Reception staff are so helpful and friendly, we had a few issues with one of our rooms that were dealt with professionally by the duty manager and reception, they resolved the issues immediately looking after us offering an upgraded room and a lovely suprise at dinner which we really appreciated. The spa facilities are fab and the spa treatments were amazing. A lovely weekend and a excellent hotel.

Very good Rooms were clean, the area is lovely, we booked the spa to let our 1 year old swim for the first time which was easy access. The breakfast was alright (the bacon stank but everything else was nice) The rooms were small - we've stayed in a LOT nicer/ bigger rooms for half the price of this. This was our only complaint, other than the bacon smelling funny when opening the lid to the container which the bacon was kept at breakfast.

Overall, we enjoyed our night away. The customer service is what made the stay to be honest. For the nightly price we paid, I expected a better standard of hotel room. It was perfectly acceptable and was clean, but the room was tired and in need of a lick of paint, new carpets etc.
Same with the spa area, we enjoyed using the facilities but it hasnt had a facelift since the last time I visited 10 years ago.
That being said, if you need a hotel in this area, this is definitely the best option and there are lots of lovely walks around. Bromley Cross and Egerton are the nearest villages and there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops to choose from, so as long as you don't go expecting a modern 4-star hotel, you won't be disappointed!

We booked a table in the restaurant, the staff were very welcoming and efficient throughout our stay. The meal was absolutely delicious and there were four clean plates when we finished. We couldn't fault the service in any way. We had a starter between the four of us and then the main meal, the experience was absolutely fabulous and we would definitely visit again. 😀

Best in Bolton area. You get what you pay for, it’s good and functional, clean and tidy, decent food, good gym & spa, handy for where I work and priced well. It’s a sprawling hotel and some rooms require you to go out in the rain to get to reception and/or the restaurant. Ask for a room in the main building or bring an umbrella. Everything else ok.
