My daughter & I visited this hotel as part of a Shearings coach trip. Our room was lovely, so pleased we could turn the radiator off and open the window wide to let some fresh air in. Beds were comfy, lovely to be able to shut an internal door to lesson any noise from other guests if they walked past. Big tv. Kettle & safe deposit. We would have liked a fridge but bar staff kept my daughters medication in their fridge so not a real problem. Pillows were quite hard but did sleep ok. Food was really good and all staff very friendly. Pool was large & segregated in half for playing and swimming which meant everyone could enjoy it, although in the evening having blaring hip hop rapping music was a little annoying but this wasn’t on during the day. Largest hot tub I have ever seen with an open side, shame the view has gone with the new houses built nearby though but I visited every evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Clean towels whenever you needed them in pool and bedroom. Take a £1 coin for lockers. Only complaint would be only 1 tea bag of each sort in room so not enough if you both want the same sort but I’m sure you could have asked for more & only UHT milk as no fridge but this was minor issue especially as I take my tea black! 😁 Couldn’t comment on Spa treatments as fully booked so couldn’t get a slot. Would definitely stay again and I noticed they had connecting doors to rooms so you can book 2 rooms as a family which is useful to know. Highly recommend.

Pleasant Beautiful hotel and spa that used to be in a lovely rural setting. Good choice of food and drink, ample parking. Totally ruined by housing development on what used to be gorgeous fields. The spa infinity pool view is now one of staring at houses :( Room was tired and needed some minor repairs doing. Room not serviced during 3 night stay.

Beautiful location, not very well organised though The location was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. I phoned while we were on the way, at 8am to say that we were coming up from Cambridge, for a wedding that was being held there at 2pm. Check in is 2pm, unless you give them prior notice then they can sometimes let you check in early, I figured 3 hours was plenty of warning and was hoping that at least one of our 2 rooms would be ready by 12 latest (as check-out is 11). We had 4 children all in their pyjamas and my husband and I also weren't dressed for the wedding! We eventually got into one of the rooms (the smaller one of the two) just after 1, we had just over 35 minutes to get everyone ready and back downstairs ready to be seated for the wedding...not good, everyone was rushed, hot and bothered at this stage :( Also, bedroom was really warm, could've done with a fan in there.

Really enjoyable short overnight visit. would come again if passing via Bolton swimming pool and spa great. great choice of places to eat onsite. some places to walk at the back near the golf course. breakfast was good. it’s a massive wedding venue so lots of groups having fun and enjoying the facilities. some minor disturbance at night. to be expected really.

I can not thank our wedding planner Liz enough! Her and the team made planning our wedding day stress-free and easy. I was able to keep in contact with Liz throughout the whole process and she was so accommodating of our needs. Nothing was too much trouble and no question too silly. She ensured we had the wedding we had dreamt of and I can honestly say it was PERFECT! It ran so smoothly and was the best day we could have hoped for. This is all down to Liz and the team’s efforts and dedication to their jobs. I’d also like to give a special mention to Nasser and Zoe who ensured our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception went off without a hitch which is exactly what happened. It could not have gone any better thanks to their organisation and experience. The service staff were friendly and polite all day and did a great job too! We just can’t thank them enough! We had to postpone our wedding by a year and Liz and the team made this process totally stress-free. They happily moved our date, honoured our original price and even moved all our guests room bookings over without anyone having to do anything. They made what could have been a very stressful situation so easy and we really appreciated that! I can’t recommend the Last Drop highly enough for weddings. The grounds are beautiful and the packages brilliant value for money in my opinion. Liz and the team are so approachable and helpful. They will listen and advise to ensure you have the perfect wedding day. We certainly did! Thanks so much again! We are still on cloud 9!

2 night stay, room was large and spacious but for an upgraded room poor iron, no fridge or trouser press included. Great staff and location. Great food though soup was cold when first served but quickly resolved with new bowls

We stayed for one night, booking the family break package. The thing that stood out the most was how friendly the staff are in all areas of the hotel. When walking around the hotel, passing staff would always say hello or ask if we were OK. Reception staff, restaurant staff and spa staff were all fantastic.
When we arrived for a swim at the pool , we were helpfully warned it was busy and were advised of quieter times. We decided to take a look anyway and stayed. The pool was busy-ish with families and children, so suited us. We had a brilliant time. Obviously if you are looking for a quieter, more adult swim experience, avoid half term holidays during the day.
The room was spacious and suitable for our needs and the location was great-we enjoyed a day at Smithills farm after our stay, which is only a short drive away.
My husband and I would love to stay again on our own in the near future, to take full advantage of the spa and bar facilities!
Thank you for a lovely stay.

Had a nice stay for my partner's 30th birthday. Spa facilities are excellent and they weren't too busy either. The food in the restaurant was really good too. Both my partner and I have specific dietary needs and they went out of their way to ensure we were catered for.

My mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our night at Last Drop, staff were lovely and the spa facilities were clean. The meal in the restaurant and the plentiful breakfast was also lovely, we will definitely be back!

We had our wedding at Last Drop Village in the Penny Farthing Suite this past weekend.

I cannot recommend the wedding team there enough!! Jaqueline and her team, Zoe and Danny, made our day so special and couldn’t do enough for us! In the run up to the wedding nothing was too small or big of a task for Jacqueline, the response time between emails and any questions we had was so fast and efficient.

The team made all the planning so much easier and the packages that the hotel offers are fantastic, they really do think of everything to make planning the day so much easier!

The venue itself is so beautiful and I cannot wait to get my photos back to see how beautiful they turned out. If you are planning to get married in the future I would highly recommend this venue and the wedding coordinating team!

We stayed for 3 nights and they changed our room on the last night to a better room lovely breakfast-staff so friendly and helpful the room- felt like we’d been shoved in the corner to accommodate the wedding parties. The room was next to the linen room so a lot of coming and going by staff. The view from the infirm pool was a let down -houses have been built in front since my last stay

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The spa was lovely if a little tired in areas, spa staff were friendly and treatments were generally of good quality, although I came out of the facial slimy with excess products. As other reviewers say, a housing estate seemingly developed by the Emerson group, is now being constructed very close to the hotel and directly in front of the hydrotherapy infinity pool. I would recommend a one night stay only if traveling for leisure. The restaurant is dated and while there is a good range of food on the menu inc vegan options, there was a distinct ‘Fawlty Towers’ feel to the service at times. We had the impression from the website that there was a ‘village’ of small shops and a gallery and while there were some, they were a wedding boutique, hairdressers and card / gift shop so only a 10 minute walk around. On the whole, we enjoyed the stay, especially the spa pools and hot rooms.
