Enjoyed our stay, the only let down was the staff are not very friendly especially the lady who struggles with a lisp by Property is lovely and the rooms still contain baths which is an issue at a lot of places now. Nothing really everything is great

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We did have a problem which was sorted without an issue. Although prices haven't increased since visiting last time, you now get less for your money, breakfast wasn't included in the price I paid last time. It was available at an extra cost.
check-in time is different on booking.com (3pm) hotel 2pm. Didn't realise this and booked the spa suit at 3.30pm, this could have been booked earlier if realised sooner. I did call to reschedule, all fully booked.

Overall great stay, food and staff were brilliant, we enjoyed the spa we were surprised how busy it was for a Monday but we can access all facilities no problem. No private cubicle which isn't practical for everyone, good sized pool. We added treatments which I enjoyed. The carpets in the rooms don't look the best but room looked clean we were happy. Lots of choices to eat and drink, only issues we had were 5.30am wake up fr bin men emptying glass bins what went on forever and neighbours where having a very loud domestic 9.30pm till midnight then started again in the morning. But we would recommend and return. Issues were reported

Business trip.
Room was tired and carpets needed a vacuum.
Breakfast was good but lots of staff just hovering around.
Overall I would say it’s okay but I would pick somewhere else next time.

Spa is lovely, lots of nice walks from the property but restaurant prices expensive.
Have to write 200 characters…was busy as it was Valentine’s weekend, would probably stay again midweek instead for a more relaxing visit.

Room's clean and beds really comfy.
Staff excellent
Food excellent , we had lunch in the pub that was really good and staff very efficient and friendly.

Booked half day spa inc. Afternoon tea, dinner bed and breakfast and also the Freddie tribute night. Excellent from start to finish, every member of staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant. The afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast were all of a high standard and excellent value for money. Highly recommend. Thank you

Pros:
- Staff friendly
- Good amenities (wifi, restaurants, shops)
- Room service breakfast delicious and on time

Cons:
- Standard rooms are very standard (one lightbulb out, only 1 coffee sachet and no more delivered when asked, rusting soap holder in shower, marks on walls)
- Bar prices quite expensive (£18 for a double G&T and large wine)
- No parking available on arrival, had to park in another part of the hotel and walk round, unsure if we were even allowed to park there!)
- Village is confusing on arrival, signage not great

Nice facilities and lovely staff Even though it seemed to be a busy weekend, it was nice and quiet. Nothing

The room was beautiful, as was everything I saw at the hotel. The lobby, bar area, little village at the back were all so lovely.
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Nothing - everything was covered and well thought out.

Could be 5 stars with a refresh to rooms The location and the style of the village. The property was quite unclean in places. Including the room, common areas and bathrooms.

What a wonderful little gem hidden away just outside Bolton.
We had a 2 night stay in a twin cottage room. Bed breakfast bith nights and evening meal on the 2nd night. The food was absolutely amazing!
Had a fantastic spa treatment on the 2nd day, never felt so relaxed.
All the staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.
We will definitely return!

clean room but a couple of issues. needed to write a minimum of 200 characters but did not want to write any more, so this is a bit of a pain as I do not want to go into detail on this review as to not give a false impression of an overall good hotel.

The best hotel of Bolton could use a little update. The rooms was not clean. The pilloe was dirty, en there were a lot of letovers from previous guest under the bed.
Also the bathroom was in our point of vieuw old and used.
It was good, but not worth the money we paid for.
Beds were ok.
The showers and other parts of the swimmingpool are also not clean. Old and should have been replaced a lkng time ago.
Also 11 pounds for 2 beers at the barr, and 15 pound for a simple breakfast is a bit expensive.
