Great venue for functions, had our work Xmas party hosted here, the evening was seamless and the service was natural.
Would recommend to groups or businesses who don't want the polava of arranging getting in and out of Manchester as logistically can be a nightmare, so all in all very pleased with my experience.
Didn't take use of the spa so I can't comment on that.
Breakfast was good.

Went for a spa day, was lovely. The hydrotherapy pool was amazing, with lots of little sauna/steam rooms. My massage and facial were so nice and relaxing. Some areas could do with updating, but that's the only negative. Afternoon tea was lovely, the scones were delicious. Staff was also really nice and helpful.

Tired rooms seemed like they just spend on reception

Spa is small and little dated and the times using it were good but apparently had to book

Bar and restaurant very expensive

The hotel is situated in a built up area, surrounded by housing but in a central location and easy to find.
Somewhat limited parking, with a small wall that runs through the middle of the car park causing confusion as to where is okay to park.
The Hotel has two seperate bars, a lounge area, three separate dining areas with two differnt menus, and a mock village around it that provides different services such as hairdressers etc.
My hotel bedroom was dated and in need of a revamp, but clean and tidy with all the basic necessities.
The food at the bar was average, mainly microwaved meals and the menu was a bit dull with the same old pub options.
The staff however, were amazing, very friendly, polite, and provided a great service.
The Spa is a great addition, and the main reason I chose to stay here. It just needs a few little tweeks to make it great, such as putting a switch/timer on the Jacuzzi, update the changing rooms as some lockers are broke, the clothing hooks on the seating bench are broke, along with some of the shower heads. The "infinity pool" overlooks the carpark, which in turn is overlooked by the local housing estate, not very scenic - A screen or hedge could be erected to improve the aesthetic. Also, I think an ice room would make a great addition to the Spa.

Room and spa facilities were great. Had to walkout of the restaurant after waiting 15 minutes and nobody had taken a food order. It also wasnt that busy

Very professional staff. A big thank you to Regan the restaurant manager who returned my wallet having dropped it in restaurant a little earlier. I hadn’t noticed I dropped it!

If you are ordering a taxi from the hotel then make sure you double check again in the morning if you’ve booked through reception. They kindly booked one for me the night before but it no-showed in the morning and when the morning desk manager phoned to chase the taxi firm had evidently forgotten about it which caused me a 30 min delay (not the hotel’s fault) but managed to get an Uber instead.

The food was okay and service excellent. Not sure about the sprouts with Nduja sausage though as a side order - pancetta would have been more subtle. Very nice meal nonetheless.

Would recommend staying there if visiting Bolton since it’s a short cab ride from the train station and the staff, rooms and service were all very good.

I went with my daughter for a spa day with treatments. It was lovely and relaxing and a nice way to unwind and spend the time together. Photos are not allowed in the spa to protect privacy. They have images on their website of the facilities.

On arrival, Reception staff very welcoming & helpful. Room was lovely, clean & definitely spacious enough for the the 3 of us. Modern, clean, bright bathroom. Lovely staff at breakfast next morning, very helpful & attentive, with a very satisfying breakfast. Unfortunately, we only had a 1 night stay booked, as we were attending an awards evening, but the whole ambience & setting was fabulous & quirky. We are now planning a return journey where we can make the most of the setting & enjoy the spa treatments.

Very comfortable. The team are excellent. It was very busy but they still managed to serve very quickly. My room was a little dated but fully functional. Lovely hotel. I haven't had a chance to use the spa, but it looks welcoming.

Overnight spa package and evening meal stay. It was okay for £165pp mainly due to the company. The room was tired and had a large dirty stain on the fabric seat (room 55) and the bottom of bath is pure brown so we didn’t use. Comfortable beds and fantastic view 🤍🪴. Room has a connecting door, it’s literally someone’s else’s room - our ‘neighbour’ had a windy night…. we heard every drum roll and round of applause on offer. Spa/ infinity pool is not very big, lots of people who like ‘dancing like no one’s watching’ so be prepared for a lot of skin to skin contact and a decent view of the car park. Evening meal was exceptionally presented and cooked albeit most meals actually have an additional cost - we paid it to upgrade. Wasn’t overly busy but wasn’t asked if we would like any further drinks from our first and to be honest we probably would have ordered each time we were asked - for 3 hours dining - big margin missed. Spa treatment was very good and we were all happy with this. Breakfast was absolutely foul. Eggs tasted like plastic and awful Cumberland sausages or vegan.very limited choice didn’t eat anything. Toilets in the bar/ restaurant stink so bad that could be a drainage issue . Value = treatment £50, spa session £10 evening meal without sub £20, room for a 3 star ‘motel’ £50 breakfast £0 = worth £135

Ive been to the hotel and spa several times. I find the whole experience very pleasant. The small toy shop on site has a wonderful selection of gifts and ideas.

Excellent spa and gym facilities, the hotel could do with investment and repair in places. All in all a pleasant place to stay.

Located in a charming suburb of Bolton, The Last Drop Village Hotel is ideally situated with a selection of lovely nearby restaurants. Arriving at the hotel through the main gate, I was struck by the appealing exterior and the historic charm that really sets it apart.
The check-in experience was pleasant, thanks to the friendly receptionist, and the reception area had a warm, welcoming feel, as did the bar. I decided to try the food from the bar menu, and it did not disappoint—the chicken wings and burger were both fantastic, well-priced, and perfectly cooked.
However, my stay took a downturn when I got to my room. I had room 306, a superior room, but sadly it was a huge disappointment. The room was in a poor state of repair and in need of urgent refurbishment. Despite the generous space, it didn’t feel clean, with visible stains on the tables and a welcome tray that looked cheap and didn’t even fit the table properly. The bathroom was also dated, although the ESPA toiletries were a nice touch. While there was a large TV on the wall, its placement was odd—not aligned with the bed or the seating area—making it difficult to enjoy a comfortable viewing experience.
The hotel’s spa has great potential and initially looked impressive. Unfortunately, during my visit, it wasn’t fully operational, and from speaking with members, this seems to be a frequent issue. The steam room wasn’t producing any steam and was quite cold, while the sauna was below 60°C, which limited its effectiveness. The small infinity pool was nice in design, but it overlooked the kitchens of the new Sanctuary houses, which took away from the intended relaxing ambiance.
In summary, The Last Drop Village Hotel has a lot of potential, with a unique location, a lovely bar, and fantastic food. However, the rooms are in need of a modernisation, and the spa facilities could benefit from regular maintenance and thoughtful improvements. With some investment in these areas, the hotel would be much more appealing, and I’d be more inclined to return in the future.

fab place for a wedding !

Room was a little scruffy with net curtains which had marks on them. I was with a friend for a wedding, and had booked a twin room, but ended up with a double - due to timings of the wedding had no availability to ask to change rooms. Breakfast, even pre-booked was expensive. I'm a vegetarian and there was a good selection, however as it isn't a buffet breakfast, you only get 1 of each item- if you want the full selection then it is a large breakfast, but having paid the same price as everyone else, I would have expected to have least been offered 2 of everything. We only received small cups of coffee and pots of tea- asked for more but never received them. The wedding itself was amazing and the staff worked really hard. The wedding meal was great and the food plentiful.
