Exceptional Everything. This Hotel is modern yet traditional and quaint. The rooms are beautiful ,well equipped, beds are super comfy and staff are friendly and helpful. There is a lovely spa with lots of facilities and a nice hot bubbly spa pool with infinity pool. There are restaurants, a pub, a tea room, ,lots of lovely little shops to look at and it's set in picturesque grounds. Perfect. We stayed for Christmas Day and Boxing day and just loved it Nothing, everything was perfect

Nice hotel with decent food, and good buffet breakfast. Good value if you can get a B&B deal etc. Rooms were clean and a decent size. Spa with sauna , steam room and giant jacuzzi pool plus large swimming pool were lovely though check opening times. Staff friendly. Hypnos beds were comfy but pillows quite hard- it would be good if there was a firm and softer one to choose from. Also couldn't see a way to change room temp but we could open the window. Good they welcome dogs too. Sound proofing between rooms wasn't great but no one was too noisy next to us. Have stayed before and would go back.

Christmas break The room was lovely and clean, and the bed was comfy with great pillows. The bathroom had beautiful bathroom products and the bathrobe and slippers were a nice touch. The Spa was beautiful we had a swim and a dip in the hydro pool. We had an excellent evening meal on Christmas eve in the courtyard restaurant and the service in the bar and restaurant was superb. The buffet breakfast was not kept hot enough for our liking, and the Christmas day lunch in The Pennine suite was below what I would expect for this venue. The food was overcooked and dry and definitely not worth what we paid.

We booked a room and wanted a bath in it, but the one we booked didn't have one. The receptionist changed our room to one with a bath no problem.
The room was very nice. The bed was awesome and very comfy.
The site itself is beautiful. It's actually a small village with shops, bar, pub and restaurant. The buildings are all beautiful.

I really enjoyed my stay. I'll be going back.

You still get the five stars but maintenance needs more attention, there is always something broken and repairs take longer than it should.

Wonderful and lovely hotel. Just been here for 1 night but had horrible experience in the breakfast room with 1 staff who is rude and unkind. Fun thing was nice to some people but to us was different story. Very rude. I am sure we re all people and we have right to be treated the same way, regardless our skin colour, where we come from, the language we speak. I don't want to put her name here but......let me not say much. Still have 2 days to go and I don't think I will go back to that breakfast room.

it is ok, but not luxurious. the pool was clean and nice and the showers in the changing room were good. the dessert was excellent for the dinner. I wanted to have a perfect stay, but there were a few issues… I had no hot water in the morning from around 7:30am until check out. It meant I couldn’t have a shower or bath, which I would have usually had. I told reception and she said “Oh sorry.” I was surprised it wasn’t a bigger issue. The spa facilities were closed but we weren’t told before booking or when we arrived, we found out when we went to use the sauna/hot tub etc and it wasn’t working. Sad for us as that was the main reason we stayed and if we knew, we wouldn’t have booked… When booking I asked if they could do something special for us for our wedding anniversary, and I would pay the extra on arrival… Or they could charge my card in advance. They did nothing at all, not even a happy anniversary wish, not even when we had dinner and breakfast, nothing at all above very average and no one tried to make it anything other than a dinner and a breakfast… It was a little disappointing. the dinner was good. the breakfast was not, the hash browns had not been made freshly and tasted so awful and the spinach was just a pile of cold, wet, spinach, no salt, seasoning etc. When we went to go to sleep there was a giant black hair in the bed too, which was sub optimal and definitely not ours.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back Really friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay Loved the pool and spa area Great breakfast Nice bar Spa gowns were only included in the executive suites, would be better if available in all the rooms as most if not all guests will be wanting to use the spa and really, who would think to bring one with them?

I went with my mum for my 30th birthday. We enjoyed a lovely spa day. The facilities were great and the lady who did my treatment Jessica was amazing and really friendly! We can't wait to go back again it was a fantastic experience. Would recommend the afternoon tea afterwards!

Came to see before rebooking for a break as they was building last time. I’m glad I did as the houses they’ve built ruin the view. Which was one of the reasons I used to come. The room are lovely and spacious and very clean. The staff was always lovely.

Went for a Christmas doo which was held in the pub part. I would not reccomend it! The DJ was terrible and played ancient music. I'm 51 years old and thought it was ancient!

Nice little stay, would stay again. Cool complex of buildings, really felt like an actual village. The rooms were OK with a comfy bed. Food was yummy and we especially liked the £10 + free drink vouchers we received on arrival. Didn't use the spa facilities. Overall good value for money.
