Disappointing visit but I’m sure it is often better! Quirky! The village was very different and would like to come back when everything is open.
The room was lovely - and comfortable.
Food in the bar was very good Our room was not ready when we arrived so although check in was from 2 - didn’t get in the room until nearly 5
Breakfast was not a great standard especially the continental selection which was lacking fruit, cheese, jam, etc

A stay over spa to catch up with a friend It’s got everything you need there a pub a restaurant shops etc as well as the spa area which is in need of a bit of an update but fine for a basic spa area. Rooms and hallway areas could also be updated Rooms and hallways could be updated and provide that more luxurious touch as could the main spa facilities where you can sit around relaxing

Lovely stay, my daughter enjoyed Absolutely lovely The fact we arrived just an hour early but couldn't check in unless we paid an early arrival fee. Disappointed

Located in a beautiful spot with wonderful views. The staff were all really friendly and polite and it was nice to see e Very comfortable room, very clean. And a really comfortable bed. Bathroom was roomy and clean. We took our dog with us and a dog bed and bowl were supplied in a garden room to facilitate our dog’s needs.

Excellent place to go if you want to relax and eat delicious food. The onsite bar and pub had excellent food and the customer service was top notch. The only complaint I have is that the room was very warm and we were unable to turn the heat down on the radiator and towel heater. This was my second stay at this hotel and I will definitely be back!

Overall lovely stay with the family. Beautiful setting, lovely food. Clean and had everything we needed. Easy parking. Friendly staff. Would be better if chicken could use the outdoor pool even if it was just for a few hours time slot.
Would expect biscuits with the tea/ coffee in room and also a fridge would be ideal, to keep drinks cold.
Other than this, it was great.

We were a family of four visiting family for our stay for one night. On arrival at the hotel after 6pm we found no parking so had to drive around the very back which is quite a walk with luggage.
Checking in was smooth, we reached our room and found one of the children's beds hadn't been made up so we contacted housekeeping and they came straight up to sort it out.
The room was clean, 2 slippers/2 gowns provided plus toiletries and refreshments.
The bath itself was a little dirty so we gave it a clean ourselves before any of us got to use it.
The hotel walls aren't great can here everything talking, other people's alarms going off, which disturbed some of us lighter sleepers. Pillows well the hotel could do with some decent pillows.
Late check out though was ideal didn't have to rush.
Breakfast was ok tasted nice and filling, good choices, but there was dirty cutlery on the floor under our table.
Check out again was smooth and we browsed in one of the village shops before heading to see family.

We had a lovely one night stay that I had bought from Wowcher. The room was nice, very standard and clean! There’s a little pub we had dinner at in the village that was really good, had a selection of pies that were all fantastic!
The spa is nice, I wouldn’t really say it’s a spa though, it’s a heated pool with a sauna and a separate normal pool. It did just feel like a gymnasium style pool though, but as I said, still nice and worth the trip!

It’s not bad for the price, I’d bring ur own pillows if staying as there’s are like flat pancakes and the beds are so hard u wake up feeling worse 🫤 really unpleasant sleep when it should be a relaxing sleep.

The room was very comfortable and clean but I was overcharged for breakfast in the court yard restaurant. I had one adults breakfast with 2 Redbulls and some Nutella toast and bowl of cornflakes and I was charged £55! An absolute joke and I didn’t realise until I left the hotel that they over charged me by an extra £10. Rang to complain and was told someone will contact me back but no one has! Aside from the ridiculous price it was an otherwise pleasant stay.

Food average bar service is good but slow and chaotic. Room large and airey. The place in general has a good feel to it.

Great stay, lovely place

Stayed here last night, used a buy a gift voucher. When booking online it only let you book if you paid the extra £24 for breakfast so bear this in mind when booking with vouchers.
Check in was quick. We were in the courtyard rooms. Clean and spacious but do need updating, especially the bathroom, mould around the shower screen and cracked woodwork. Bed was huge but a bit hard for my liking but comfy enough. Room was fine for a night or two, everything you need.
The thermal spa and pool was really lovely, tho you do have to book a slot and I'd advise doing this prior to arriving. Was a lovely addition to the stay.
Breakfast was good, service was prompt. Choice of continental options but can also order a hot option. Very tasty and served quickly.
Overall, a nice stay.

Unfortunately the place has gone seriously downhill since my last visit.
The spa was overcrowded and not relaxing.
Each room in the spa was cold and the only way to warm up was by going into the overcrowded infinity pool.
The room itself was nice but was dated. I did not get a good sleep due to the hardness of the bed but this is personal preference.
However another reason for my lack of sleep was people shouting in the corridor.
We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal which was lovely. Staff were helpful of our dietary requirements and everything was labelled well.
Overall it was an ok stay but very overpriced for what the product actually is.

The rooms are average, I have tried there normal room and executive suite and there’s not much difference between them, and if I was paying for the room I would be dissapointed (company paid). Find dust to be a problem in the cupboards especially. In the executive suite u are supplied with bottled water but some days they wouldn’t be bothered to restock this which I found annoying. The gym and spa facilities were average and always busy as it’s open to the general public.
The customer service is very quite poor by a lot of the staff members, there is a select few that make up for it which is why I didn’t rate the service a 1 or 2 star but instead 3. A lot of the staff members appear to not have much training nor experience especially in dealing with customers. Had one day that 2 staff members, maids I believe, just walked straight into my room not realising I was in, but no knock or anything, and worse no apology.
Then another problem I encountered on my 2 week stay was, after a hard days work ready to relax, I found that my key card no longer works to get into my room. My room was a fair distance from reception and as it was not my fault decided to phone them on my personal phone, told them what the situation was, for there response to be “I’ll see if I can send someone up” . After waiting 10/15 minutes still no sign of anyone. Phoned them back for them to tell me someone was coming. The guy gave me a new key which worked. But I dealt with 3 different members of staff, and not 1 apologised for this inconvenience I experienced due to there fault.
The food I cannot fault much and I was quite impressed by. They could improve by adding more options to the bar food, as really there’s only burgers or pizzas which the pizzas weren’t great, loads of cheese and flour still remaining on the base. Burgers were excellent.
Overall if they improved there customer service and some other little things, personally I would spend my own money on staying again, if there was a reason to be in Bolton again. But I believe 3 stars is fair.

Poor service, especially at breakfast, cold communal areas, (heating was turned low), staff were pleasant, but the GM needs to care more.

Very good experience by stayat this hotel ,staff friendly rooms clean and spacious. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely place for a wedding and great wedding fayre

The staff here are very helpful. The rooms are always clean and maintained. Although some of them are probably due for a refurb, they're still in good condition. There's a bar and restaurant, the food and beer are good. Not too expensive for a hotel either.

Travelled up from Bristol to visit family and chose The Last Drop to be central to them. Arrived at 1.50 so we were asked to come back at 2pm. By then the queue was snaked around reception. Room not ready at 2.10, then again at 2.45. Eventually got checked in at 3.10pm. Room was clean in parts, but dated. Evidence of ceiling leak above bed/TV and the net curtains were shockingly dirty behind the curtains. No standard tea provided - just fruit stuff.
The beds were fine and we slept fairly well. The pool and spa area needs updating. None of the showers sit in their cradles and the floor was meh. The spa was nice, and the infinity pool was lovely..... BUT the info board on the spa wall that celebrates the views of the rolling countryside was clearly printed before they built the housing estate now directly opposite (notice all of the stock photos are looking in, not out). Thankfully none of the neighbours ventured on to their balcony in their nightie, or it could have been quite awkward. The car park was rammed, and we struggled to park each time. Although there was a wedding on the Sunday, so perhaps that was why.
I'm still not quite sure what the 'Village' part is about, as I took a walk (quite late) both mornings, and all the doors were shut. It reminded me of a Wild West movie where everyone is hiding from the Cowboys. The staff in the bar were lovely. The food was nice. We had pizza and truffle fries one night, and their breakfast bacon rolls were superb. Would I go again? Possibly. It was a really good location and if all I wanted was bed and breakfast and a swim, then great. If you're looking for a little bit of a luxury break, then I'm not so sure this is for you.

Lovely little spa stay for a belated birthday celebration. Spa and massage fab and bar meal. With excellent staff at the bar. Jess went above and beyond. She really did try and give us the best experience she is a credit to any employer. I would visit again just for her service!!!!
