I went on a trip to Last Drop my only complaint as a disabled guest was being put in a room up a flight of stairs with tripping hazards. I use crutches and had especially asked to be on the ground floor. Nice hotel with brilliant amenities from restaurant and cafes to a pub, hairdressers, and pottery barn and spa.

Lovely spa and comfortable rooms. Just be aware that some cottage rooms are up quite steep steps.

Cutest little overnight. Rooms are very mediocre and outdated BUT the general village, the bar, staff (especially the girls in reception), the spa facilities was all very welcoming very impressive, would recommend this hotel especially to couples.
Extra star for the spa and the reception girls customer service. Pleasure to stay and we will be back!

Overall disappointing stay with no outstandingly good things to note.
Breakfast pre-cooked and expensive £15 if bought in advance - more if paid at the time. Other food also not cheap
Room ok - shower hot as was the room even with radiator off. Bed uncomfortable and “bouncy”
Staff ok much not overly helpful.
Lots of stairs and too few disabled parking spaces
Will find somewhere else next time

Disappointing. Service was below expectations as basic service standards lacking. Should have had a drinks voucher but struggled to get this. Bar service worst I have seen in years & no cleaning of tables done at all.

Lovely hotel, excellent facilities - will stay here again! Facilities were excellent. Staff so friendly, checking was quick, efficient and informative.

Quirky layout to the hotel - but this added to the experience. Excellent value for money
Poached eggs at breakfast could have been hotter, but overall the quality of food was really good.

Swimming pool was great, room was clean and comfortable (although shower holder was detaching from the wall). However, for brunch we were charged £9.50 for a child’s cheese sandwich based on the general menu’s cheddar & chutney sandwich (which wasn’t what my child was given). Unfortunately, didn’t get a photo because I didn’t expect such a rip off.

Reception staff were very friendly but unfortunately when restaurant was contacted they weren’t accommodating and insisted that was the right price.

Hotel staff were all friendly and obliging, nothing was too much trouble for them. My dog was treated as part of the family which was very important. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

Good start poor finish The room, The restaurant the reception area Not being told on arrival that if the room needed to be refreshed, ( bed made towels changed) when returning at 22:30 had to make bed and only one bath towel available, informed of protocol when checking out. Poor service at breakfast on second day which was a real disappointment as the dinner and breakfast on the previous day was brilliant would even say above and beyond.

On checking in front of house looked lovely.
Room 84 over looking looking the drop inn pub was quiet noisy. Over all it was like staying at a pontins , not what we expected staying in a 4 star spa hotel .
Spa you had to book your swim slot, upon arriving at the spa they didn't tell you that you needed a £1 for the locker ,and also its £5 to hire a spa robe ..

The bedroom was well equipped and clean and the beds were comfortable.
It didn’t however have any kind of wow factor as an executive room and certainly did not look like the website photographs. Overall the room looked plain, functional and a little jaded.
The bottle of water and good toiletries were nice touches. .
The spa was relatively small but enjoyable and clean.
The food in the restaurant was excellent, although on the pricey side and both the ambience and service was good.

Lovely hotel and beautiful room, we stayed in one of the executive rooms. Very quiet and bed was very comfy.

Spa facilities were excellent and made the stay even better.

There was a lot of choice for breakfast and it was very good.
Would consider staying again.

I would come here again. Great facilities I enjoyed the hotel and facilities and the food was a good variety I was disappointed with the facial we booked a 25 minute facial and only was 15 minutes so didn’t think it was worth the money

Came for one night with my 2 young sons. For a bit of fun and to use the pool.
Gorgeous surroundings. The pool was lovely and Clean. Our Room had a double bed a single bed plus a pull out bed. The main beds were really comfy. The pull out not so much.
Room was great for us. There was the odd mark on the carpets etc but not a problem for us. Hotel allows dogs for an extra free. We heard a bit of woofing from the next room but that stopped before bedtime.
Room service was easy to order through a QR code. Breakfast was fab. Freshly brought out to order for the hot items. All the staff were lovely and helpful.

After looking at some of the recent reviews, I was very apprehensive about my stay, but I needn’t have been worried. Yes, the rooms are a little dated, but I found the room clean and all the amenities you would expect. Although we did have to turn the radiator on as it was a little cold.
We visited the spa, which was OK, just a little basic, but they do have beds to lounge on whilst reading a book.

We didn’t go into the thermal suite due to the number of people there, but it looked OK.

The food at the Last Drop Inn was really good. It also had lots of board games, dart boards etc. (if you are taking children with you.)
Breakfast in the Courtyard restaurant was also great with a good continental selection. The service was perfect and fast.
Overall, for the money, it was a really nice stay.

Roderick on reception was truly fabulous.
He was professional, kind, and full of empathy.
The breakfast manager lady was great. And recognised me after 18 months.
As a solo lady traveller , you feel very safe and comfortable. The area is very pretty.

My partner and I got married here in January 2025 and I can honestly say that it couldn’t have been more perfect. Jaqueline and the team were there through all our ridiculousness, inflatable trex antics, cake made of wheel of cheese coordination, 100s of questions, pranks on the groom and were the best support we could have asked for. Our untraditional - traditional wedding was more that we could have imagined, and Jaqueline (the ultimate hype girl) was there for us every step of the way! I would get married to my husband here again 100 times over! I will also add that we had the best night sleep too, the beds are like clouds and the suite we stayed in was perfect for our hectic morning! I can’t thank the staff at the last drop enough for how much they provided for our wedding!
