Nice place, it was a stopover for us while travelling up north. It's a nice hotel, with a swimming pool and spa. The breakfast was lovely. There is a nice garden outside and the bar is open till late. Overall good place for stay. Will definitely recommend.

Much better than our last stay. We will return We have stayed here before and didn't enjoy our stay. That was a few years ago. This time the stay was really good. The room was cleaner and looked fresher. I was worried when I arrived as they didn't have a room suitable but they managed to find us one. The wifi was slow. It's free but not a major issue. We didn't get to use the swimming pool this time but I think we will be looking for a longer stay the next time

To start with the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional so absolutely no complaints there. The food was exceptionally good both at breakfast and dinner. The Spa was clean and well run if a little on the small side. Unfortunately what dropped my reviews stars was the room, coffee cup full of fag buts on our rooms patio table, bathroom fittings not secure and a carpet that was just not nice. Worst of all was the stink in the bathroom, it was horrendous and for a four star establishment nothing short of disgusting. Would we stay again? Probably not.

Great facilities and staff that were really helpful Staff always happy to help with a smile. Nice rooms - simple but clean and comfy; lovely spa and reasonable sized pool.
Very kindly was offered a discounted breakfast rate as I was paying for 6 people.
Ate in the clocktower restaurant. Food was not up to expectations. eg Waiter explained duck would be cooked pink (which is great) but then came overcooked. Waiter mis-entered the pudding order, it was rectified but just a bit disappointed.

Loved the bars, swimming pool and outdoor area for the kids to play on. Very family friendly! The kids had a great time. Beds really comfortable. No air in the rooms whilst it was warm weather, needed to be able to open the windows better or some air con would of been nice.

Really nice village/hotel/spa. Some features outdated but mostly well kept. Only negative is their website - not user friendly and hard to navigate

Beautiful Little Village for the Kids to Scoot About Was in the more dated side of the hotel but was still lvery clean and comfortable.
Restaurant, With a child with ADHD he knocked a, drink over, had a meltdown, was very over stimulated but the bar staff and waiters were lovely and understanding.
Although I understand for adults wanting to relax and it is quite hot, my kids really really wanted to try the infinity pool, maybe have a set time for an hour with a warning for parents/carers to check temperature for them first.

Very pleasant The room was lovely and clean but hard to locate, the signage was a bit vague. The hotel and grounds are lovely. Disappointed to see the view from the spa has gone

Spa facilities are excellent especially the swim out jacuzzi. Rooms were good and the Drop inn pub on site was brilliant with live music good atmosphere. The food is very nice we had dinner and breakfast. Only issue we had was the service in the restaurant is terrible. All staff just stand around chatting, we waited nearly 20 minutes before our breakfast order was even taken and it only was because I had to ask if we could order.

Very hot but able to request a fan as room had no air conditioning. Asked for extra beverage sachets and milk but good choice available ( 2 per type)
Had evening meal from pub which was tasty and filling, breakfast was ok.

The room was lovely, the bed was a good size and the bathroom looked new, great shower with plenty of natural light. The breakfast was good and provided a good start to the day. The restaurant was very good, the quality of the venison was excellent, prices were very reasonable, the spa was one of the best we have been to. A large pool and very well equipped gym. The location was great and not far from Bolton. The staff were friendly and always helpful. Overall we would recommend the hotel.

We have stayed at the Last Drop a couple of times in years gone by and thought that the spa and pool was just what we wanted after this heatwave.
I remember looking over the snow covered hills from the spa pool when we stayed one new year. But alas all you can see now is into the backs of peoples houses.
The pool and spa were good but the men’s lockers were mostly broken so I had to put all the stuff into the ladies.
The cottage room was lovely and clean when we eventually found it with some help from a member of staff, is the numbering on the signs a quiz ?
We never saw accurate directions to our room and tried to help a lady this morning in a similar quandary.
Because of the hot nights we left the windows open so that we could hear the delivery lorries arriving at seven o’clock ! …….. don’t book a cottage room on the Main Street if you want a lie in.
We decided to put our bags in the car before going for breakfast in case the time was tight with the service and then check the room before we checked out but when we did it was already being cleaned even though we still had the key and had not checked out yet so the cleaner must have just entered the room and thought we had gone. Reading other reviews of staff entering rooms that the system showed as empty makes me thing that a door chain is necessary in this day and age especially as the cottage rooms are quite tucked away, the reason we couldn’t find it.
Breakfast rolls and the eggs Benedict in the bar were ok, the fish and chips were overdone the night before.
Overall apart from a few niggles it is still a lovely place, the staff are very good the place is very clean and the atmosphere is interesting and relaxing.
I wish I lived nearer to make more use of the pool and spa in spite of the view now gone.
The price was reasonable and would tempt me to return.

I have no idea of the rooms but a couple who came all the way from leeds said it's lovely. It waspacked with customers. From the start, parking was easy, receptionest were charming even-though they were pretty busy, bar man was charming and nice, service was good and quick. I saw men enjoying their hot outdoor swim (I only saw their heads😅) over looking the parking area.
