Really nice staff great accommodation lovely to have the spa included Me the wife and a small dog needed somewhere to stay while helping my youngest son replace a bathroom in his new home, this came up near were we needed to be and I'm glad we choice it, there's nice dog walks, bars a coffee shop nice little shops in the village that they have made there, the bonus was the Spa that is included in your stay, had food in the Inn as well as the bar very good, enjoyed it a lot and would defiantly use it again. My wife and I visited The Last Drop Village after hearing about the Artisan Markets on Facebook. Unfortunately the visit did not live up to past visits, it seems it has changed drastically over the last 6 months.
The reception staff were incredibly welcoming however this atmosphere did not continue in the pub. We understand the markets were busy however the queue was exceptionally long as there was only one young girl serving on her own.
Once we sat down after a lengthy wait, we heard a cheer coming from behind the bar and saw two other members of staff walk in to which I assume they were stood behind the bar the whole time. This felt rather unfair towards the girl who was trying her best but I will add she was very pleasant despite the stress she was under.
We stayed for one drink and left, I really hope this was a one off occasion and not the new standard as I know it has put us off.

Location is gorgeous. Spa was clean. Staff were really helpful. Food in the pub was brilliant.
Only problem we had- the twin beds were incredibly uncomfortable. You could feel the springs in the mattress. The pillows were also paper thin. It was the cheapest room however you still expect to be comfortable.

Beautiful location. Very surprised to find it was its own cute little village complete with shops and a pub! The hotel staff were lovely and friendly. We did experience a bit of hostility from a waitress in the pub who wasn't pleased that another member of staff had told us we could sit at a certain table but it saved us money as we decided not to eat in there so ordered food from the local takeaway instead.
The facilities were ok - the hydrotherapy pool was amazing. Unfortunately the salt therapy room was out of action. The changing rooms were disappointing - the showers were dirty and there was no option for privacy to change.
The rooms were good. Beds were very comfy but the pillows were hard. Everything in the room was clean but I would have expected robes and slippers to be included as standard given that it is a spa hotel. The biggest negative to the rooms is the noise level. The walls are paper thin and we had a very yappy dog 2 rooms down! Fortunately he seemed to be fine once the family were back in the room with him and as long as nobody walked down the corridor, the dog remained quiet.
We had friends staying at the same time and I know their experience was quite different due to where their room was located. We were in the main building and they were in the courtyard by the pub. They got very little sleep due to the noise from visitors.

Lovely location with lovely views, all the staff from reception right thru to the spa were very attentive, went above & beyond, super friendly with a great atmosphere, made our experience magical! The food in the restaurant & pub was excellent! The rooms were spacious, clean, had everything you needed, beds were comfy. The spa & pool facilities were fab. It was exceptional value for money, we went all inclusive which made our experience even better after having our original trip to Berlin cancelled we chose this place and infact we agreed we had a better time here than we would of had there! Im 100% coming back! & recommend everyone to visit!

Having stayed at this hotel many years ago and being very impressed with the spa, I decided to revisit when work brought me back to the area.
I was impressed with the rate we paid for the room. It was excellent value for an executive room with spa access for two people. The room itself was clean and fresh, although the decor is a little dated. The corridor was rather untidy though - arriving at 5pm, there were still plates left out from guests’ room service breakfasts.
The room was large and the bed was massive and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the over-bath was shower nice with good pressure and temperature. There was a decent sized wardrobe and an area with table and chairs.
Onto the spa and pool: the hydrotherapy pool is a massive highlight - beautifully warm with bubbles, jets and an indoor-outdoor experience. When I stayed here previously, there were beautiful views across to the moors. Sadly, since then a housing estate has been built VERY close, so the only views from the spa are into people’s back gardens, which is a bit weird.
The thermal rooms were a bit disappointing - 2 of the 5 were out of order and those that were open were very tired (missing tiles, dirty grout, wood stained with black mould / damp in the sauna etc.).
The pool itself was nice. 18m long so a little shorter than a standard pool but plenty of space to get a few lengths in. The temperature was ok - cool compared to the hydrotherapy pool but fine for swimming.
We chose not to dine in the hotel but did enjoy a nice cocktail in the bar. The young bar staff were very friendly and helpful.
Overall this is a nice hotel and the spa - although in need of some TLC - is a nice addition. I’d stay again.

Stayed here a few years ago and was impressed with the refurbishment. As stated breakfast was awful Staff were very helpful on reception when booking in as I needed to change rooms as I wanted a room with a bath.
Staff were very friendly.
I did not use the spa so I cannot comment.
The breakfast was the big disappointment.
I had a full breakfast , which when it arrived was virtually cold. The tea was also tepid when delivered.
The hash browns overcooked.
Not much bacon on the plate. mushroom looked shrivelled
I wanted marmalade. there were no jars and the machine for squeezing out the marmalade was either stuck or empty.

We’d only booked a spa day so can’t comment on the rooms but the top point is how lovely and helpful all of the staff were, can’t fault them one bit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Where we were disappointed was with the state of the changing rooms and the spa itself.
The changing rooms feel like an early 2000s leisure centre changing rooms and are in desperate need of an upgrade, the spa itself only had 3/5 of the facilities working ( bio sauna and halo therapy room were out of order) and the lane swimming pool had an aerobics class on for the first 2 hours of our session with loud bassy music going through the whole building. The aqua aerobics was very busy and looked great but would’ve been nice to have had a pre warning and we’d have just booked another day.
The heated outdoor pool in the spa is the strangest I’ve ever been in, with the entire view being the car park and a housing estate, it felt very odd. Also had some tiles missing in the pool.
The spa rooms that were available were amazing and the steam room smelt so nice.
We did leave feeling very relaxed and well looked after by the staff however slightly disappointed with the facilities themself.

Very good value for money. All the different elements in site. Brilliant spa! Limit menus at the food options. Outdated and needs some TLC. 2 of the spa elements were out of order e.g biosauna and salt sauna
