Great village disappointing room The village is really nice and relaxing. The room is basic and needs refurbishment and is far too expensive for what you get

Stayed for one night on 6th June for a “Fizz Friday” spa break deal. We had a family room with three beds which was ample for us. We got a bottle of Prosecco on arrival, use of the spa, evening meal up to the value of £30 each and breakfast.
The spa could do with a refurb (as could the rooms to be honest) but the food we had at dinner and breakfast was pretty good.
We had a great time at the Drop Inn pub. There was a really good singer on and we enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately the bar said they didn’t have any tonic which seemed a bit strange - I’m sure they could have got hold of some from the bar in the hotel but they didn’t seem bothered.
The other thing which let things down was the amount of time we waited for our tea and coffee at breakfast. We had to ask twice and it took over half an our to arrive.
Apart from those two niggles, for the price we paid, we had a great time.

Nice hotel, shame about the restaurant Room was really big with a shower and a bath. Location is great as well The restaurant is very tired looking with cracked chair covers. The food was disappointing. Pork belly is fatty but shoukd have a strip of white meat about 5mm thick, then fat, then brown meat about 5mm thick. Mine came with the white meat about 2mm thick....and literally no more meat...just a high blob of fat. It was appalling. The rest of the disk was nice though.

The room was great - really spacious, a nice shower and a separate bath (fine for one - but was a squeeze for 2....but you can't really complain about that). The restaurant however was very tired with cracked coverings on the chair. I ordered pork belly which is fatty, but should have two layers of meat each about 4-5mm thick. This was one layer about 2mm thick - and then all fat. It was awful (the sauce and the rest of the dish were nice).

We chose the Last Drop for our wedding and we’re glad we did. Jacqueline was on hand to help with preparations prior to our big day. Franco, who was Master of Ceremonies and all of the staff, from receptionists, waiters, waitresses and staff behind the bar were fantastic on the day. Our wedding day was perfect. The food was great, the service perfect and the grounds offer lots of opportunities for photos. Our suite was spacious and comfortable and breakfast the following morning was tasty.

Despite the very bland a cold bedroom we enjoyed the stay and felt it was value for money. Loved the location and spa facilities. Our room felt cold and decor was bland. So much more could ahve been done to make it cosy.

Over priced for rooms Comfy beds and spa area Room service food was vile and over priced for what you get, didn’t eat most of it! Bathroom layout was silly as toilet roll holder is a mile away from the toilet. Sink was useless as can’t fit much water in it so makes it very hard to wash face etc. AVOID FOOD AS RUBBISH

Lovely location, rooms were comfortable and everything worked as expected. Some small details felt slightly dated but nothing that would ruin the experience

We have been to the Last Drop on a regular basis and previously never needed to complain. Sadly we were disappointed with our stay this time, nothing wrong with room, facilities or staff. We were informed that our evening meal was in the Drop Inn, first time ever but never again. We both ordered Cheese and onion pie, it was awfull could not even taste any cheese, more like mashed potatoe pie. It was disgusting While we were part way through our meal a crowd of about 20 men & women sat on several tables alongside us. Soon the noise was unbearable. We left without finishing our meal or having our second course. I left 'feedback' on their web page and also e-mailed the hotel but have not had anything resembling an apology. The price we pay I would expect better

Great hotel with wonderful facilities/ Very comfortable stay in a beautiful and convenient location. They take "pet friendly" to another level by providing a bed and bowl for the dog.

Great Staff and Facilities but in Need of Money Being Spent The staff were amazing, as was the view from our second floor room at the front of the hotel. The room was spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable. The grounds are large and well-kept. The meal in the main restaurant was actually really quite good. We were meeting for a family get-together so hadn't chosen the hotel in order to use the pool, spa etc. The communal areas are beginning to look very tired and in need of refurbishment. The Last Drop 'pub' was a big disappointment, resembling something one might find at a holiday camp with televisions everywhere, people eating burgers and pizza and loud music later in the evenings, rather than the 'old country pub' I was expecting. The pillows supplied were hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast was largely tasteless and of low quality.

Returned to the spa after a birthday disaster.
Spa refused to give us the deal even though non of it was our fault.
So hubby went to gym and sauna etc and i had a treatment.
On arrival..they knew who we were and what we were coming for..hubby and his way and a lady proceeded to take me to the treatment rooms.i asked to use the disabledift to be told its been broken for weeks...had i known..i would have chosen a different week..i proceeded to walk very slowly to the treatment room.the lady eho did my treatment was extremely nice..however she did forget to introduce herself..when i returned to reception to meet my hubby.i sat waiting for 20 minutes..not one person asked if i was ok or wsnted a drink or in fact enquired as to how my treatment went.
Would we return..not to the spa

We had our wedding at the Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa in The Penny Farthing Suite in April 2025. From start to finish, the entire experience was truly wonderful and made our day so special.
The Last Drop Village is a perfect venue as the building itself is full of character with original features alongside having the stunning countryside with wonderful views. The Penny Farthing Suite was dressed lovely on the day.
We also attended a wedding fair at The Last Drop, where we won access to the Harwood suite to use when getting ready the morning of the wedding. This was an amazing addition to the morning where we had a grazing board and fizzy to make a perfect start to the day.
The team went above and beyond, with Jacqueline helping with the planning process and the team on the day making sure everything ran smoothly, they all went above and beyond. The staff were all very professional and made us and our guests feel so welcome. We also used the ICE DJ which was part of the package who kept the dance floor full all night.
The food was incredible along with the service. All the food was presented with attention to detail. Many of our guests commented on how lovely the food was for such a mass event.
If you’re considering The Last Drop Village for your wedding, we couldn’t recommend it enough.
Thank you to the entire team for making our wedding day so special, we have memories to last a lift time.

The hotel, at large, was quite nice and comfortable, but definitely is a bit dated in areas and the rooms, while comfortable, could use a bit of love. Overall, the room was clean and cozy, the staff were very attentive and friendly, it’s generally good value for money.
