A peaceful, welcoming retreat with great food, a fantastic spa, and warm staff—highly recommend! Another Relaxing Stay, Just as Wonderful
This was my second visit and it was just as lovely as the first. The peaceful atmosphere, stunning views, and fantastic spa made it a perfect escape. The food was great, the staff were warm and welcoming, and I felt totally at ease travelling alone. Only downside—having to leave! Highly recommend.

My cousin & I had booked a spa treatment, we arrived at the spa early, and met on the reception by a very friendly female member of staff, she took us to the relaxation room, whilst we completed our questionnaires.
At our allotted time our 2 therapists Ria & Adeeba came & introduced themselves to us.
We had booked a hot stone massage each, what a fantastic experience! from selecting what oils we wanted, to be asked about temperature and pressure, Ria & Adeeba both delivered an exceptional service, they were very professional, friendly and put us at ease. The massage itself was one of the best that my cousin and I have had, and we immediately booked another one for September. Thank you to you both, for making our visit to your spa so enjoyable.

A budget stay and a good nights sleep, the hotel is a bit tired and in need of a deep clean in areas Quiet good nights sleep and comfortable bed, room was clean and hotel staff welcoming. I thought for the money it was a nice hotel. The IT support team saved me as the WIFI had a blackout and I needed to be on a work call. I felt the hotel was a little tired in areas - I was on a business trip so fine for me, but I would have been disappointed if I came here for a retreat. The areas that needed more attention was the spa changing rooms which I felt needed a deep clean and fixing of broken areas such as tiles. The WIFI did drop which was a problem for me, the reception area is not kitted out for casual business workers - limited plug sockets. I thought the breakfast could do with a bit of work - My poached eggs were more hard-boiled and the uncooked breakfast was very basic. If you like a full English though it looked good.

The location was good it's a self-contained mini village, staff were lovely and they were very helpful and friendly On arrival to my room, I had to ask for it to be cleaned as there was hair all over the bathroom and 1 of the complimentary water bottles had been half drunk, you could clearly hear the people in the next room, the breakfast was a bit expensive for what you got £18:50,

Some great features, some issues Much is good about this property. The location is especially nice, with several surprisingly scenic walks laid out (ask for the brochure!). The spa is pretty good, with quite a few options to cook yourself. Rooms and public areas are very attractive. Breakfast options are below par, and both the restaurant and bar are bit disappointing for both service and quality. Front desk staff need a bit more training in guest relations. Rooms are quite hard to ventilate at night are stuffy in summer.

Enjoyed our 50 spa session and dinner was nice. Room spacious and clean. Bathroom modern, spacious and clean. The spa facilities, and village atmosphere. Breakfast wasn’t included in the price. Double bed was two singles pushed together. Distance to get from car park to hotel, room and spa when raining is not pleasant but not the hotels fault.

We are coming back in October that’s all there is to say thank you I have known the property since 1980 and I have visited it and stayed many times. The previous two owners destroyed it and the last time I stayed there when it was Mecure owned was absolutely disgusting. I am really pleased with the new owners and the very polite and helpful staff thank you I have one very small complaint the ventilation in the bathroom was not working and that maybe a considerable fact with the mound growing in the silicone around the bath but it is a common problem but can be eradicated.

Enjoyed every minute. The high level of staff training and customer care was noticed. Room perfectly clean. Bed very comfy. Breakfast a very good range of choices. All areas of venue were well maintained and clean. Can't think of anything!

We booked a Wowcher overnight stay here. Fantastic location with plenty of things to do, and different places to eat and have a drink. The bakery was beautiful and had the most delicious cakes.
We enjoyed the Spa which was included in our package deal.
The bedrooms were spotless and nothing to fault. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would return for a visit.

The facilities were excellent The fact we got a phone call at 12:40 saying we were making noise however there was a wedding reception going on which was very loud

Lovely ‘village’ and set up. Bedroom was not very clean. Marks and stains on the coffee table. A lot of dust. Spa wasn’t as good as we thought it would be. Spent 20 minutes in as it was over crowded.

The facilities were excellent. The room was very comfortable & the atmosphere of the pub was very relaxed and friendly. The staff members were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable & nothing was too much trouble. The complimentary toiletries was a lovely touch & they were of a very high quality. There were areas that hadn't been cleaned adequately - the radiator in the room was quite dusty, and there was dust around the bottom of the doorframe in the bathroom. Both my Wife & I thought the cooked breakfast wasn't enjoyable and it wasn't cooked adequately, actually we both didn't finish the cooked breakfast as we didn't enjoy it at all. Also there wasn't enough pillows in the room.

Rooms are very out dated and the spa changing rooms also needs a refresh and upgrade. Must say all the staff are very friendly and helpful

One of my favourite hotels in Europe. Quaint little village….lovely rooms…great food… the service provided by both Brooke and Ian in the bar was first class. However the experience I had on reception this time was disappointing as the lack of interest showed by the man on reception during check in left a downer on the experience. I will be back and I would hope that next time that this is resolved. And yes I do have his name if the Last Drop wants it.
Other than that though it was the usual First Class experience.
