The drive up and entrance give the impression of a very smart hotel. The service and standards were variable. Some staff were extremely helpful and others were not. The restaurant menu and food was average and the breakfast to order looked as if had been cooked for a while. It felt as if no one was in overall control.

12 months planning for their big day and what a fantastic day it was! This could only have happened with Jacqueline's expertise and attention to detail. Everything that was asked for was not only delivered but totally exceeded. From the ceremony to the wedding breakfast and reception everything ran smoothly. I can't even begin to imagine how hard Jacqueline and the team worked throughout the day to make it so special. We decided to stay for 3 nights in total. The courtyard room was extremely spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet had a massive variety and the staff were wonderful, friendly and attentive. We ate once in the restaurant, the steak was delicious and cooked perfectly as requested. Again, nothing was too much trouble from the staff. During the day we spent most of the time in the spa, thoroughly relaxing with a decent size pool, sauna and steam room facilities. I can't finish this review without mentioning Jacqueline again, she is a huge asset to your organisation and deserves every recognition possible. Thank you!

I had my wedding here on Saturday the 7th of December 2019 and can not fault it at all. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and comfy. The staff at this hotel are wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. I would like to say a very special thank you to Jacqueline the wedding planner at this hotel. My wedding was perfect and the biggest reason for this was you. Nothing was ever a problem and you made everything I wanted possible. Me and Matthew cannot thank you enough for the last 12 months planning our big day and giving us the day of our dreams. If anybody is thinking of having a wedding here do it! Jacqueline and the staff are amazing. I will definitely be back very soon. Xxx

Had a great night for our wedding anniversary . Stayed there many times and always enjoyed it, especially the spa. Nice to see on this visit that lots of small improvements had been made (new carpets and refreshed decor etc. The staff were all great and we felt very welcome. The three course evening meal and breakfast were superb and We would definitely be staying again.

Great weekend had by all of my guests for a Christmas party and stay over. Food, room and spa were fantastic. Cannot wait for another 12 months so rebooked with my husband in a couple of weeks let's hope its great again

The Hotel is in a lovely quiet location, the room (we were given an upgrade to what we had booked) was very comfortable, and the food was excellent both in the evening and for breakfast. There's also a good Spa attached to the hotel. The Reception staff were very attentive. We had booked on a Black Friday Deal, and so received very good value (we can't rate for normal prices)

I had an amazing time at this hotel for my Birthday. The Spa was incredible, the thermal pool is as gorgeous as ever, this is my second visit to this hotel. Big shout out to Ben and Harry on the bar, they made me feel welcome and special and even played birthday songs on the big TV! I would highly recommend this hotel for any couple stay.

Breakfast good. Facilities are good - rooms are rather scattered - so we had a safari trek through corridors and up a few stairs to get to our room
Car parking spaces are rather narrow by today's standards - not laid out for modern SUVs let alone Range Rover type behemoths.

Loved this place, highly recommended and lovely little village.This is also a great place for parties with the addition of a lovely swimming pool. We stayed in a cottage which had a giant bed and a single bed.

25 work colleagues(friends) stayed over to use the fantastic spa facilities and spend an evening dancing away at one of the best Christmas parties we have been to. Everyone of us walked away very happy if not a little hungover this morning we will definitely be back next year.

We had to stay overnight near Bolton for family reasons. We chose the Last Drop from previous reputation and availability on a booking website. We were well pleased by all aspects of the stay.
EXCEPT minor niggle - the spaces in carpark are too narrow for SUV parking. We were hemmed in on one side by an SUV - parked within his lines - but these modern cars are larger )I guess) than when the car park was laid out in the ?? 1960's. Needs updating.

A very special thank you to Ryan and Aaron, who looked after us really well when my friend couldnt find her car on the multiple car parks. They walked us to a warm bar and let us sit there while they looked for the car for us. They walked my friend to the car and then directed her to the door so she could collect us, and kept and eye on us until the car had driven away. It was greatly appreciated. Fantastic customer service guys cant thank you enough.

Some of the staff looked down on us because we wasn’t regular guests. After deciding to stay there due to house renovations I felt disgusted by this. I wouldn’t expect my staff to treat people the way we was treated!

Had a lovely warm welcome from Rhianne on the desk who obviously wanted our visit to be a good one. Enjoyed a delicious lunch served by Julie who was both efficient and friendly. Rhianne also asked about our visit on our way out wishing us a enjoyable evening.

I am glad we chose this hotel for the weekend. The facilities where high standard. We had booked a function room the staff where polite and attentive. We moved on to the bar for more drinks, thanks to the polite and sociable barmaid which I believe was Hannah. She looked after us absolutely amazing!!!

my friend and I had a fabulous lunch this week in the hotel bar. We watch a afternoon tea being served and it look wonderful and will be back to try one. Julie on the bar served us and was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

I had booked a package the week before our visit for my mums birthday treat. Also bring my baby. I had for a facial treatment for me and my mum and dinner with a bottle of wine booked in the package. We checked in and went to our room but there was no robes and slippers, on the booking it did say these would be provided in the room. I had to tell my mum these were missing and this spoiled the surprise. The reception said I had to go and get the robes and slippers from the spa. When I went they said that reception should of sorted the housekeeping to come and deliver them to the room. So in total we waited about 30’minutes for the robes. Wasting the time we had sat in the room.
When we went for our facials we were told I hadn’t booked facials, apparently the back and neck massage had been booked on the system. I 100% booked facials. My mum and I go for a lot of facials so it’s the only treatment I would ever book. The lady in the treatment room gave us a facial but not the “ESPA” facial as she wasn’t trained. She was lovely and apologetic but I felt we wasn’t given what I booked in the package. I had my 8 month old baby with us and when I noticed the cot with no mattress I was reluctant in staying the night. I spoke to reception and due to safety they couldn’t provide me with a mattress. I do not let my baby sleep in my bed at home and most of the night he was awake due to the hard surface he had to sleep on and at 5am I had to put him in the bed which I was very uncomfortable in doing, so I stayed awake for the rest of the night so I could see he was safe.
