Shame the spa wasn't open, but otherwise ok Staff were friendly, food was improved from previous. Management was more in evidence than previous. Covid didn't overtly spoil our trip. The beds were comfortable but pillows were very hard. We changed them but little improvement. On saturday night there were alot of slamming doors throughout the night which kept us awake.

Awesome Me and my wife have been coming for years but we haven’t been for 2 years so this stay was spectacular it’s a lot more cleaner the rooms have all been done up and the food was amazing also the staff made you feel very welcome and were very helpful The building site out side the heated pool what a shame the view has been ruined by the new buildings

A pleasant and friendly hotel. Fantastic service - the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The swimming pool opened early and a time was allocated to allow you to swim undisturbed. The cooked breakfast was excellent, particularly the Black pudding and Cumberland sausage. Highly recommended. Very difficult to find fault.

Staff are all brilliant! The staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay better. Every person we spoke to were so helpful and caring. The rooms were clean and well equipped. Arrangements put in place due to Coronavirus were very well thought out and reassured us. Unfortunately our first night was spoilt by very noisy residents, we were going to check out the next day instead of staying for another night as originally planned. But the lady on reception offered alternative room and complimentary upgrade to make sure we left having enjoyed our stay, which we did. Will definitely come back. The £20 per night charge for having our dog stay with us was excessive compared to other hotels we have stayed at.

Lovely smart staff and clean room

Shame smokers choose to put their butt ends out on the upper level floor outside bedrooms (they look like there been there a while !)

Great meal in restaurant.... Maybe offer a set menu ?

Only critisicsm is that while I totally understand no buffet breakfast any more and last serving at 0900 when we asked for room service breakfast told a £7 per head tray charge!!!

We ate breakfast in restaurant (very good it was too!)

Lovely and relaxing stay, as always. Staff was very welcoming and made the stay instantly comfortable and relaxing. Unfortunately due to current covid measures the spa facilities and some of the on-site shops were closed. However this did not ruin our stay.

Pleasant Staff very pleasant Room lower level in court yard. Very noisey can hear residents above walking around, talking and TV. Did not get any sleep and would not stay in a court yard room again. Walls and ceiling very thin.

Relaxing stay, shame the leisure facilities were not open but that was unavoidable. Breakfast was good given the restrictions due to Covid 19 the staff were all friendly and helpful

Night Break Nice distancing, friendly staff. Spa was closed, but not a major issue.. Quite a few cobwebs in room and dust on pictures above the bed. Beer in the pub in the courtyard tasted of cleaning fluid.

Our stay Property is lovely, we’ve been a few times before and always enjoyed our stay Just one small point about the room was the toilet dripping all night which was quite annoying as I’m a light sleeper, and I understand not being able to use the spa facilities at the moment, I wouldn’t want to with what’s going on but this should maybe be reflected in the stay price? Reduced breakfast menu also that wasn’t advertised before stay, only realised when we went down for breakfast and was never told
