A mediocre stay Spacious clean and well aired room. Nice bathroom. Didnt realise no lifts. Stairs were difficult. Request for fruit on arrival wasnt carried through. Service at breakfast and dinner was slow. Dinner at the Last Drop Inn was over priced, things missing or wrong items brought, food edible but not high end and service not great. Waited over 20 mins from sitting for drink order to be taken. Hotel room easily looked into by walkers by. No toilet brush in room.

Beautiful location Beautiful location, I included breakfast it was lovely. I booked an executive room. The bar at night after 11pm when we came back the TVs only had football on and the tv channel wasn’t allowed to be changed, so not very romantic, a few couples in the bar area just wanted a music channel on. We didn’t want the volume higher or anything like that. Staff were lovely but they was told that the manager would not allow it to be changed. All the little shops weren’t open but understandable due to the Covid virus, yet when I rang to ask if everything was as normal I was told yes

Just returned from a 2 night dinner , bed & breakfast stay to celebrate my sisters 40th birthday

Great value , we had the executive suite which provided bathrobes & slippers , tea/coffee ,bottled water , iron , hairdryer & toiletries
Spacious rooms & comfy bed
Plenty of free parking available

The little village of shops were a nice extra but was a shame the tea room & pub were still closed

We booked time slots for the main pool & hydro pool , both excellent condition & maintained well , best to book early as possible as used for members also

Restaurant manager was most helpful accommodating our large group keeping within all guidelines
Restaurant staff provided a great service

Bar staff friendly & pleasant

Reception staff very helpful & provided excellent customer service

We also requested to look around the wedding venue for future reference

All in all we had an excellent experience & a fantastic stay will definitely return
Have already recommended to family & friends

The room was shabby carpet was very stained and dirty. Not quite the executive room we were expecting . Man screaming shouting asmashing stuff and throwing glass table outside window at 23.45. No security just bar staff not really helping situation. Not the relaxing night away we had planned.

Pleasant stay, lovely food, great ambience. Rooms clean and comfortable. Lovely little courtyard with pub and shops. Friendly staff. Food in the courtyard restaurant superb. Had to book a time slot for breakfast (didn't know til we got there) and only very early or very late times left so didn't bother. Bar prices quite expensive.

I stayed here this past weekend and I would have to define my experience as generally a positive one. The room I stayed in was a very good size, most are a little smaller but still rather roomy. It was very clean with a large comfy bed and a good sized bathroom however the room suffered a little from the lack of a small fridge.

The amenities in so far as the swimming pool, hydropool and the sauna facitilies (although the saunas were out of commission on our 2nd day, it probably couldn't be helped) were all excellent as is the location with all the surrounding greenery. There was a little confusion over the actual booking details on arrival but the staff were helpful and were quick to sort out the issue. The place itself is very clean with staff that always wear masks, keep the facilities well sanitised and take the Covid pandemic seriously.

The one big thing that lets this place is down however is the standard of the food which is why I cannot quite give it a 4 star rating. The evening meal we had was bland and tasteless, the starter tasted like something reheated in the microwave and the meat was not very nice. The breakfasts were always on the cold side too. If you stay here, you are always better going out for food.

One more positive thing about the Last Drop though is that the place accepts dogs so you can bring your four legged friends with you!

If this review was solely based upon the staff of the hotel and restaurant, it would have a perfect score. Every staff member we interacted with was extremely helpful, polite and just all round great. The hotel should be extremely proud of how wonderful their staff are.

The room itself was great, nice big comfortable bed, comfy table and chairs to sit at, very clean and the curtains were that good at blocking the light, I was convinced I'd set my alarm to the wrong time when it went off in the morning

The restaurant was great. Again, extremely helpful, friendly and polite staff. Food was wonderful and very reasonably priced for a hotel

Now for the 2 cons that led me too a 4/5 and not 5/5

1: While booking on the website, we were asked if we'd of we'd like an optional fruit bowl for around £5. The picture showed this nice bowl filled with lovely fruit. Well, what we got couldn't have been any different. Instead of this actual fruit bowl they show on the website, what we got was a small rectangular plate with: 4 thin, triangular slices of water melon and honeydew melon. 2 slices from the center of an orange and about 10 grapes. Now I know this might not be a big deal to a lot of people, but I felt like this was extremely misleading advertising on the website. This is a getaway we had to save for, so we didn't have the money to get room service or bar snacks between meals. So we thought this bowl of fruit would be perfect to get us through.

2: One of the biggest reasons we choose this place over the Marriott, was the Sunday carvery and roast dinners advertised at the Drop Inn. Unfortunately when we got there on Sunday ready to eat, we where told that they weren't doing them (there were also another couple queueing for the same thig who said they'd rang Saturday evening and had been told.it was still doing food), it was only in the restaurant and no carvery. This was another disappointment, as we'd been looking forward to it since we arrived on Saturday and even talking to the staff on reception about it. There what even the sign on the door of the inn on Saturday, advertising it.

I know they may sound like minor things, but this was an anniversary get away and they where things we really looked forward too.

Overall we still had a great time and would return.

If you love walking and being active this is the place for you. You can even take your dog!
The staff was very friendly and always there to listen to your enquiries.
We sadly were unable to use the all spa facilities and were limited to the pool and the hidro one. But on a positive side they never were over crowded and were spotless.
Be aware that you can use the spa towels instead of of your own room ones and end up with soaked ones...
The breakfast sausages were delicious and you have a choice of vegetarian and vegan alternative but the continental one is definitely not worth the price(I do understand that they had to adapt to the new covi 19 guidelines but serving a mini babybel and small piece cheddar as a "selection of continental cheeses"!!!!!!
The croissants are also only mini ones...

Rooms could do with a bit of a face lift . Lovely setting and bar prices were very reasonable. Room carpet was very dirty. Had to ring reception for towels as only 1 bath and hand towel in room. Friday night just beofore midnight man shouting and throwing table outside smashed glass every where. No security just bar staff not really helping situation just lots of shouting and swearing. Expressed my dissapointment at reception next morning and was met with yes we are aware but man has checked out this morning. No apology.

Great for pet owners. The staff was extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. The location is excellent if, like me, you like going on long walk. Towels and dressing gowns are provided at the spa facilities. The cook breakfast is excellent. They have a choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes and breakfast. The room was spacious. The food does not reflect the prices that are charged. On the continental breakfast for example, a choice of British and continental cheeses is stated but I only got a mini babybel and tiny portions of cheddar. I am well aware that they must have had to adapt to the covy19 guidelines but I am pretty sure that they are not the only available individually wrapped cheese!!!! Also they offer croissant, pain au chocolat and pain aux raisins, they do not stipulate on the menu that they are only mini!!! (£15.50 a breakfast). The lady s changing room floor was not always clean. We were unaware before booking that we would only being able to use the pool and the hydro one.
